One of my allays literally just saved me tons of time and effort. So I brought my Allay with me, gave it my Fortune Netherite Pickaxe, and it searched for some time and eventually gave me my Silk Touch pick back. Allays are awesome!
I really hope Mojang could find a way to make the Allay renewable. I suggest that after an Evoker is killed, any leftover vexes can be "de-corrupted" into allays by throwing a Bottle o' Enchanting, just like how zombie villagers can be cured with a splash potion of weakness and a golden apple.

A lot of people thought this was gonna be some sort of item duplication or something. I personally think it's a nice pet, but there's not a crazy ton of use in things like farms unless you afk
It's kind of useful early game. They're like pets but with much more convenient use other than being adorable and just sitting around or following you. I like to think that the Allays used to live in the Ancient Cities helping the people who lived there, but as the Sculk invaded the city they were forced to leave the underground. And as they were completly lost and helpless in the surface, the pillagers captured them.

I found one in my world but I don’t want to loos it. I’m scared on taking it mining with me cuz what if I die? (I do often)
I think it would be better if they would work like a mini inventory, they would still collect the items but instead of giving them right away to you, you would need to click at them to get the items
Everyone who is saying this mob is useless are those who have no creative mind. I have so many ideas for these guys adding them to my Skeleton xp farm to take the bows and throw them into a hopper that goes into lava
only bad thing that needs to be fixed about them is that when I die far away from base and respawn I keep losing them, and have to back track to try and find them again, I wish the devs made it to wear they teleported like wolves, but even wolves can get lost especially if you travel by boat, they end up to far behind and glitch and end up staying in the same place until I get back to them, I left a pack I had just tamed behind on another island, and when I got to base I realized it and had to go all the way back for them. :'O
They can spawn in naturally, one time I was running through a birch forest on my way to a pillager out post (was a 1000+ blocks away) and I came across it on the way but just one

That will be my best friend and I will spend time with it Idea : Allay works for the blocks that we give to it and gives the items what they got by working for it if it's fair :)
You forgot to mention about allay duplication where you have to play music from the jukebox and use a amethyst shard. So that's one more use for amethyst
Fun Fact: Minecraft actually "rigs" their mob votes, they made all the other mobs underpowered, and put 1 powerful mob in there. In this time, was the Allay. However, Dream, unrigged it. He used his fan base and spammed "Glow Squid!!" and then clearly, the glow squid won. After, Minecraft added the Allay anyways. It must be part of the upcoming lore.
Pro Tip: Instead of using a hopper, use a Hopper Mine cart connected to a chest. That way it can pickup the blocks in a 2x2x2 radius, and you won't have to worry about the Allays missing the hopper. Shown at 9:10 I also think that if you set a trap door on a block above, then open it, so that it covers the hole above the note block. That might be more effective rather than having 3 trap doors
I'm crying there's a pillager outpost near where I live but not allys. So I got a cartograper villager and bought a wooden mansion map. IT WAS THE WORST WOODLEN MANSON I HAD EVERY SEEN. only ONE secret room, so only one loot chest. There was also not a single illger mob in the entire structure (I have it on hard). I checked every inch of the building. I was so excited to come back to my base with an allay or two. I can back with extreme disappointment...
In the video he said Allays are not a renewable mob but you can duplicate (self breed) them by giving them an amethyst shard while they are dancing to a music disc. One allay turns into two.
Something I found very interesting well you can't really hurt the allay by hitting it I notice if you have a fire aspect weapon it does burn them. I did that by accident one time. Don't know if it's a glitch in bedrock edition or if that's supposed to happen but that's a thing
Alleys.can also distract warden's/ warden sensors. You forgot about that. Give them a trident and they'll keep on shooting those sensors as distractions
I wish you could actually tame them or at least give them a home similar to a bee hive. They're so hard to trap when you dont want to use them and they escape so easily when you want to change blocks. It'd be nice if they were blockness they'd go back to their home or they'd just ACTUALLY be tamed to the player where you can make them sit but take away their blocks and they are still tame and will follow you.
Will the Allay despawn after being given an item in bedrock edition? Sometimes I don't want them to follow me around all the time. I made a cage for them. Will they despawn if I leave them in there and walk away?
Still feel like Copper Golems would have been a more fun addition. Usefulness of the mobs aside (another way to move items vs another way to activate Redstone) I just think building an army of Copper Golems with all the hundreds of Copper you'll obtain just from mining is more interesting than having to find a Woodland Mansion or Illager Outpost to get a small amount of Allays. (Side-note, the Glare has the same problem, but with Lush Caves. But hey, at least they would be naturally spawning, eh?) Them not being renewable is also wack, they are the only tamable mob you can't breed to get more of, meaning the only way to get more is to find more randomly generated structures in areas you haven't explored yet, and then you have to actually transport the Allays back to where you would want them to be, versus the Copper Golem which you can build whenever you want, wherever you want, as many as you want, so long as you have enough materials in your inventory. And on the topic of usefulness, the Alley is slightly more useful as an alternative for automatic resource collection on specific farms, than the Copper Golem is as a RNG Redstone activator. But that's such a niche thing that it doesn't really matter at the end of the day, as min/maxers would use whatever is most efficient, whether that be transporting items with water streams and using bats/chickens for RNG Redstone. Casual players won't really use the mobs to their full potential anyway, and will mostly be collecting them as pets. Copper Golems would have just been infinitely easier to acquire and make use of, even if that use was just to have another pet in your base.
In the newest snapshot they are experimenting with making Allays able to reproduce, which is a much welcome change. Still would have preferred Copper Golems, but this makes Allays better in my eyes as now you'll only have to find them once, and you don't have to search to get more.
I found one of these mansions, freaked out, planted blocks of tnt and covered the thing in lava like it was gravy on mashed potatoes and burnt it down. I then found these blue things and blew up their cells with them inside not knowing if they would attack. The place was literally a hot mess
Man , I think that if someone made a raid farm without a storage which includes a lot of hoppers which are costly to craft, these allays can come pretty useful there if we give them all the items which a raid farm does. and if we make a afk box near the raid farm and trap ourselves in a glass pane or iron bar box and have 2 or 4 hoppers in front of the box in which we are trapped connected to a chest. The allay will drop it and when it hit the glass pane or iron bar it will go to the hoppers and into the chest. I guess you can take this idea and make micro farms with allays in your future video. Anyways love your content and videos man.
Do untamed allay's despawn? Cause if I were to go to a woodland mansion and get a few allay's but left the rest in the mansion would those ones I left behind despawn?
I use mine as an egg collector. I gave it an egg, so now, every time I leave my house and step out into my yard, he goes about collecting all the eggs my several chickens have laid overnight.
Is there a chance that a woodland mansion would not have allays? because I’ve been searching a woodland mansion and could not find them or the prison room
It would be cool if throwing a splash potion had a random chance of spawning an allay. They may as well give them a different way of being renewable since they're the less natural mobs in the game.
That doesn't even make a lick of sense. Why exactly a splash potion? They aren't liquid like, so do tell us. Also they can now duplicate themselves, but I wanted to ask your reason for them being renewable using your suggested method.
I don't think they can tame it unless you untame it but yes another player could potentially kill it, you could always try to make a hidden room or area where you keep it while your offline
i use these by taking them to the nether and giving them a ghast tear, you just shoot the ghast with bow and he will go get the tear while u are safe from lava and other mobs

I wish you could give them tools (like pickaxes) so they can mine stuff for you.
You forgot to mention about allay duplication where you have to play music from the jukebox and use a amethyst shard. So that's one more use for amethyst
So Allays were voted because they were the "most useful" but ended up being incredibly niche in their most useful function being item sorting
Still worth it because they are adorable and have good lore. Also still is useful
@@sentientfrowner7428 that's your opinion
His voice is so soothing and he is so good at explaining things underrated
Now whenever i watch a new video 10k+ subs congrats finally you are getting recognized.
Thanks! 😃
@@Eyecraftmc Thanku for this Minecraft information.
I wish we got copper golm or the dark thing over this
Fun Fact: Minecraft actually "rigs" their mob votes, they made all the other mobs underpowered, and put 1 powerful mob in there. In this time, was the Allay. However, Dream, unrigged it. He used his fan base and spammed "Glow Squid!!" and then clearly, the glow squid won. After, Minecraft added the Allay anyways. It must be part of the upcoming lore.
Nah I voted for the glow squid because I waanted to
Pro Tip:
Instead of using a hopper, use a Hopper Mine cart connected to a chest. That way it can pickup the blocks in a 2x2x2 radius, and you won't have to worry about the Allays missing the hopper. Shown at 9:10
I also think that if you set a trap door on a block above, then open it, so that it covers the hole above the note block. That might be more effective rather than having 3 trap doors
Do Allays stay tamed to you when you die? Might be useful for if you die, an Allay can pick up your most valuable items and then fly towards you!
Sick editing style :)
I can back with extreme disappointment...
like you said, an allay looks like a balloon when you put it on lead, which makes bees and allays like (helpful) balloons
In the video he said Allays are not a renewable mob but you can duplicate (self breed) them by giving them an amethyst shard while they are dancing to a music disc. One allay turns into two.
What a great channel thanks to you I became a pro
Glad to help!
Something I found very interesting well you can't really hurt the allay by hitting it I notice if you have a fire aspect weapon it does burn them. I did that by accident one time. Don't know if it's a glitch in bedrock edition or if that's supposed to happen but that's a thing
When I found a mansion I broke a wall to enter it but then two allays very fast flew to me. That was cute
Fun Fact: Allays can be seen in the dark because they have some sort of glow texture similar to the Glow Squid
10/10 video once again my man.
Thank you!
@@Eyecraftmc thank you! I now know everything about allays!
Alleys.can also distract warden's/ warden sensors. You forgot about that. Give them a trident and they'll keep on shooting those sensors as distractions
I raided a pillager outpost and saved an alley and gave it an item out of curiosity. Now it won’t leave me alone. How do I leave it in one area?
2 yrs late but as he explained in the video u right click with empty hand and take back the item u gave the allay
I wish you could actually tame them or at least give them a home similar to a bee hive. They're so hard to trap when you dont want to use them and they escape so easily when you want to change blocks. It'd be nice if they were blockness they'd go back to their home or they'd just ACTUALLY be tamed to the player where you can make them sit but take away their blocks and they are still tame and will follow you.
thank you for this! do you have any ideas on where to put them when you aren’t using them? like a little home for them
i think you can keep them on leads and make cute little houses for them!
@@moroam they can escape leads :(
and then follow you
These little things are really useful for agriculture in my experience
No, but the first pre-release is out so it should be officially released within the next 2-6 weeks
Still upset about copper golem it would of made Sci fi builds feel more alive
and actually give copper a purpose
what a cute creature i love it
Eye killed a vindicator with his fists
👊👊👊
I found a pillager outpost hoping I'd get an allay. There was only one cage and it had no roof and no allays so I've gotta keep looking.
Ok?
Will the Allay despawn after being given an item in bedrock edition? Sometimes I don't want them to follow me around all the time. I made a cage for them. Will they despawn if I leave them in there and walk away?
No they shouldn't despawn so you should be good :)
Tbh I'd probably only use them for picking up wood from big trees as well as saplings or sticks
Can any hostile mobs attack them?
Sadly yes but a solution is to give it a totem of undying
Still would have preferred Copper Golems, but this makes Allays better in my eyes as now you'll only have to find them once, and you don't have to search to get more.
love your videos man, they’re the best
OMG, Things that auto mine underground or something usually destroy blocks, but these allays will pick them up :)
Mining with TNT could be really fun with these things
Do untamed allay's despawn?
Cause if I were to go to a woodland mansion and get a few allay's but left the rest in the mansion would those ones I left behind despawn?
No they can't despawn sort of like an elder guardian
I use mine as an egg collector. I gave it an egg, so now, every time I leave my house and step out into my yard, he goes about collecting all the eggs my several chickens have laid overnight.
How to sit them
Is there a chance that a woodland mansion would not have allays? because I’ve been searching a woodland mansion and could not find them or the prison room
Allay: Master has given Allay a chestplate- Master has presented Allay with clothes!
If you log out can someone steal your allay or kill it? Very worried as I'm apart of a server
I don't think they can tame it unless you untame it but yes another player could potentially kill it, you could always try to make a hidden room or area where you keep it while your offline
@@Eyecraftmc Thank you! I will do that!
