Base on my observation for better and spreadable consistency it is better to cook it for only 5 minutes or until the caramel just dissolved as it continues to thicken while it's cooling. For larger batch cook it for 10 minutes.
Yema Spread / Dulce de Leche
Ingredients and Prices
300 ml Condensed Milk "alaska" = ₱ 39
1 Large Egg Yolk = ₱ 5
3 tbsp White Sugar = ₱ 1.62
3 tbsp Unsalted Butter "Dairy Cream" = ₱ 11.1
1 pc Calamansi Juice = ₱ 0.5
1/4 tsp Vanila Extract = ₱ 0.7
1/8 tsp Iodized Salt = ₱ 0.04
Total Ingredient Cost = ₱ 57.9
Other Expenses = (portion of transpo, gas, etc.) = ₱ 5
Total Expenses = ₱ 62.9
SRP base on Market Prize = ₱ 120php/350ml Bottle
Total Potential Profit Per 350ml Bottle = 57.1 php
This costing is for small entrepreneur who want to start at low with 10 to 20 pcs production. If you are planing to take this into higher volume of production like 100 and above please adjust for manpower expense and other expenses that might affect when increasing the volume of production.
Prices of Ingredients are based on mall prices like SM Supermarket, Puregold, etc wich is more expensive. If you can buy this ingredients in wet markets and other cheaper groceries you can minimize your ingredients expense and maximize your profit.

Dulce de leche and Yema is totally different. The difference is dulce de leche invented accidentally in Argentina, is made up of milk, sugar, vanilla extract, baking soda and a pinch of salt cook from 1 to 1 an half hour in low heat. While Yema, a popular Filipino treat from spanish term means "egg yolk". Cook at least 20 minutes in medium low heat made up of egg yolk, condensed milk, sugar, sometimes have butter and type of citrus fruit in it.

Looks good but I got confused making it coz the video and the description below are different, the video doesn’t have egg yolk and the vanilla extract have different measurements than the description below which has egg yolk.

I watched this more than 10x. No egg added! But when I tried this recipe after salt I add egg with continous mixing. This yema spread is good pairing in Kutchinta for dipping. 😊
It's only dulce de leche, not yema spread because there is no egg yolk. Yema is Spanish for egg yolk.

Add the egg yolk when simmer already the condense milk po before adding tje salt calamansi and banila. Extract make sure when u add the egg yolk you stir it gradually to avoid cooking the egg yolk others theu put to egg yolk for more tastier result po.
When you cut the calamansi use plastic knife to avoid the activavtion of acid to from metal... For long life of yema.
