Pretty much finished with this build myself hehe. I think I might mirror image it and expand the back too, or try and combine all your builds into one war camp lol
i just built the viking starter base on my solo world the last two days , let me tell you it took me 12-13 hours to build. now i want to destroy it and build this one. my head is going to hurt.
You have to stop imagining it as a blueprint and think about what ideas can I take from the visual or design aspects of the build. If you drive down a suburban neighborhood you will notice the houses have the same basic design. It is the differences that are added or removed that make them look different.
If you have the self control turn on debug mode and build what you need then turn it off, I don't have self control, i spawn in the best gear and fly around killing stuff then get bored
Beautiful and functional. The only thing I'd add is a moat a few meters away from the wall outside the perimeter else you'll be in for a lot of repair the first time you see "The ground is shaking". The sharpened stakes won't stop the Big Blue B@ST@RDS, ask me how I know lol.
I think the best part about this build is that it’s pretty simple to modify once you start to unlock higher tier content like the artisan table and the windmill.
Yeah, totally. He said it's designed for teams, but as a solo player, it's nice to see an early-game buildable design that can adapt to later-game needs without a complete overhaul.
Awesome build! I took the blueprints and did it 1.5x size for the outer perimeters so I could have a bigger farm in the middle. One of my favorite builds I've seen. Great work
Ok guys we got another starter base for you to take a look at, The Homestead Starter Base for Valheim, can be used for 2-4 players or if you are a solo player then this can be a big project build for you. also RUclips is taking longer then usual to process the 1080p so I apologise if the quality of the video at the time you are watching is of a lower quality, ZOM!!
The great thing about this kind of build set up is that its very easily modified to make it into a larger base just by moving things out a little bit, or extending wall sizes etc. For example, i personally like having a big tree in the center of my bases, so just extending the walls y 1 or 2, and making the buildings just 1 floor tile out each way can accommodate that very easily, or even just planting them in the corners could give that greenery aesthetic.
amazing build dude, I just copied it to my world. but I have a question, how do you deal with decaying constructions? you have a lot of expose materials.
Not bad. Pretty. I'd worry about the complexity of the outer walls and remembering to replace all the little things when a troll has his way with it... But i suppose i could put a second exterior palisade wall... Or a spike trench... Or both...
Amazing build plan btw. I built it to test its durability on my world, from troll raids to fuling raids, nothing broke. Not even the spikes. Very well built for a starter base. But my worlds are all survival so obviously I was fighting as well as letting my base defend me.
I underestimated the amount of wood I needed to cut down about ... 10 times hahaha. Awesome build. Earned a sub for sure. Amazing walk through as well.

I saw all of 1 minute before subscribing - Love your voice.. :) Very calming. Edit: Hope you'll talk more over your videos, what you're doing, thought etc
I made a bridge over the gate connecting the watch towers along with an awning above all of the upper exterior walls. It was a pain but totally worth it.
the rain only weathers wood it does not destroy it, rain will eventually take the wood that is not covered down to 50% durability, giving it the look of rotting wood, but it never destroys it, so it will not crumble like you say it will. thank you for watching.
I would put portals in the 2 front towers, could possibly get 2 in each tower, or use the main back tower as a portal hub instead of putting storage in like I have.
