Coming right up in 5 years with my Bauer tools. So far just 1 battery failure, only one tool broken, which was the shear shrubber. It was within 90 days of purchase, I took it back for a full refund.
I have absolutely zero regrets at buying Bauer. My Gen 1 impact driver has been beat up, dropped, scratched and scraped. It still drives a screw home just as well as it always has. People can argue all they want about how Bauer is crap, and Harbor freight sucks. Fact is Bauer tools were cheap enough for me to afford, and it allowed me to build a ton of stuff. I've used them to build raised garden beds, garage shelves, a fence, and a bunch of other things. I've also used them to destroy invasive shrubs around my house. The chainsaw has seen a lot of action an the Sawzall has gone through a lot of stump roots. At the end of the day it's not about how much your tools cost, it's about whether they get the job done.

That was 5 years ago. Today for just a bit more...you can get a 2 yr extended warranty. Which for the price of the tool and warranty is a steal. They won't offer warranty services unless they know the tool will last that long. So, zero worries to me to buy a Bauer.

I feel the same way. Kobalt is my #1 platform, however I buy Bauer for those things Kobalt doesn't offer. I've had tremendous success with both platforms. I started Kobalt because of the 5 year tool warranty and the 3 year battery warranty. I have a tone of Kobalt power tools and lawn tools, I also have a ton of Bauer power tools and lawn tools. Both excellent brands, however, my edge will always be Kobalt ONLY because of the 5 year tool, 3 year battery warranty they give. I don't even purchase the extended with Kobalt, I do purchase the extended 2 year or 3 year extended for Bauer, whichever is the longest one they offer with purchase. Again, for me, both platforms have performed exceptionally. I consider both budget tools. Hopefully, I've made some sense here. FYI. I do have the Dewalt and Milwaukee platforms as well, and I decided not to proceed with them because of costs. By trade, I do property maintenance, and my sude hustles are furniture builds and repair, small engine repair, and appliance repair, and my Kobalt and Bauer tools have never failed me. I use them daily to keep the pressure on them, and they perform great.

I bought 7 1/4 skill saw, smaller 1 handed saw saw, the 3/4 to 2 inch brad nailer, jigsaw, multi tool and 2 5 amp hour batteries for 379.00 and i put them to use immediately i cut cement board all day with skill saw on 1 batterie with ease tge multi tool everything works great! Im tored of all these over price dewalt and milwaukee. I dont give a crap what co workers say tgere good tools and a third the price.

I just switched over to Bauer a while back. I've been picking up stuff as it goes on sale. Been buying almost exclusively the brushless stuff. Couldn't be happier for what I've paid. I honestly don't care if anyone thinks I'm buying crap tools. If they want to buy me a complete Makita, DeWalt, or Milwaukee set, go right ahead. Otherwise, their opinion means absolutely nothing to me.

I started with Milwaukee about 15 years ago but now use exclusively Bauer. I paid $300 for a drill and 1/4 impact driver combo with two small batteries. Then, on travel I needed a drill. I found a Harbor Freight and they had the similar combo pack for $79 with the coupon I had. I figured it was a one and done but what I found out was the kit was actually pretty good. I’m not a pro and need my tools occasionally. Over the last four years I’ve collected another 12 tools and 8 batteries. Six 3 Amp and two 5 amp. I’ve gotten everything on sale and spent less than $600 for everything. I still have my Milwaukee but find I use the Bauer more frequently. At 5 years old, my original Bauer twin pack and the two 1.5 amp batteries work perfectly. With the sale pricing, Bauer is the best bang for the buck. What I do is buy the 2-year add on warranty. Then, in 26 months I return it for a brand new unit. This process is highly recommended by Harbor Freight employees. I want to stress this is t me scamming Harbor Freight but their own employees telling me to do this. They want you back in the store to swap the product as they know you will buy more products. If you do this, you can buy just the two year warranty and effectively get a new tool every 26 months. I do this on the more expensive tools. For example, the glue gun which is my absolute favorite is $20, no need to spend $12 on warranty. Bottom line, I like tools and have collected quite a few in my time. Bauer is a great product for a very good price. With the warranty strategy you get an option to upgrade every 27 months for $20. Thanks for your content and I agree with your opinion.

    My opinion:
Budget, Performamce and Reliability all matter.
I delayed jumping on the Bauer bandwagon, as I didn't really want to get "another" kind of battery pack.
My DeWalt 20V tools are the standard I measure others against.
I "experimented" with Black and Decker 20V (Lion) tools, they have proven to be inferior.
My Bauer 20V tools are "almost" as good as the Dewalt's, but @ 1/3-> 1/2 the cost.
My HFT store is close, always running some kind of "sale" on Bauer tools/batteries
I got an adapter, that uses the Bauer battery to power my ancient, but still working Craftsman 19.2V tools.. giving them new life.

If you're using your tools every day for a living and cost isn't a factor, then buying a name brand may be the way to go. I was in the building trade for 20 years and have used a lot of different brands. If you are rough on any tools, they won't last. I just recently started using the Bauer line of tools and have no complaints. I like the vast selection of tools available, and the batteries are affordable. It is nice that you can build your tool collection as you go. If you watch the sales, you can get some great deals too.

Drill, driver, impact wrench, sander, multi tool, I’m all in!

Bauer tools are best value on the market today much is made of the fact they only have a 90 day warranty it's my experience that if a tool lasts 90 days it'll last for years if it doesn't last 90 days they replace it with no questions asked instantly if your the nervous type then buy the extended warranty I never have and never needed it I have many Bauer tools and they have served me very well

I am able to do many other things that I don't necessarily need professional grade tools to accomplish, and for now the tools seem fine. Keep up the great work with the reviews and videos. I look forward to them especially when its about bauer tools lol

I have been purchasing the Bauer tools since the beginning and have some of the "Gen" one batteries (no rubber over molding) and tools and I have not had any issues to date with at least 8 being over 2 years old. But like you I do not make a living with my tools just DIY so no need to pay the premium for the better brands since these do everything I ask them to do.

    Location Location Location
I started in the Skil line, great value at Lowes near my house at the time. When I moved, I was near Home Depot and picked up a sweet Makita deal and where I work is a mile from a Direct Tools. Now when ever I need something it's a Ryobi or Rigid refurbished. As for selection, anything and everything, anytime, never have to order and wait for ship to store or home.
They're all good, some of the Rigid is great, on par with Milwaukee. Don't marry a tool or battery line. 🤠

I've shopped HF for years and have been a Milwaukee guy for a while also. I just recently decided to get into the Hercules line and am liking them so far. I didn't go with Bauer because they look a lot cheaper than the Hercules. I'm debating if I should have gone Bauer though, but I can't get past how cheap they look, compared to the Hercules. I'm a professional communications radio installer for police and govt agencies, so my use isn't hard on tools, like an automotive/shop mechanic.

If I wanted cheap, I would of just stuck with my corded tools. But if your going to go cordless, why not go a bit more expensive, as these tools have upgrades that will help keep you safe, make your work easier and in the end more enjoyable and cheaper than hiring someone to do the task for you.

Use Ryobi and Bauer, probably like Bauer a little more overall. Think Ryobi's circular saw is designed a bit nicer, like the magnet plates on the drills/drivers too, but Bauer tends to be a bit better, and a little cheaper imo. Think Ryobi would be the brand to really do a comparison video against.

I run dewalt 20V platform. It's the best platform of all pro grade tools, even better than Milwaukee. Fast charge at 8 to 12 amps, cheap knock off batteries on Amazon, abundant selection in the used market place, many brands of tools accepts dewalt 20V battery such as Mac, Graco, Kline and Pop Abel Proset just to name a few. There are countless adapters for other tools to work with dewalt 20v batteries. Some tools don't even need adapters. They can be modded to accept dewalt batteries. This brings to my point. Bauer is one of those brands that can be modded to accept dewalt batteries. I only buy Bauer tools that dewalt doesn't make such as handheld inflator/deflator, glue gun, 1 gal chem sprayer and transfer pump. I dont own a single Bauer battery or charger. One thing I wish the Bauer line has is better built quality and better performance. Unlike my Dewalt tools where I can abuse them, I feel like I have to baby my Bauer tools every time I use them so I wont break them.

    • @rodneynickles2343
      @rodneynickles2343 Год назад

I run the Dewalt 29 volt platform as well, and the impact driver is my favorite tool. Regarding the Bauer line, I have abused mine and worked them hard on job sites, and on furniture builds, etc. I have had zero issues with mine. Having said all that, I've only owned my Bauer tools for 3 years. I work them hard like all my other platforms. Kobalt is my main platform, but I started buying Bauer for the same reason you did. Our of all 4 of my platforms, the only tool that has failed is my Gen 1 Milwaukee intact driver. I took it apart and fixed the intermittent issue, and it works great now. My platforms are Dewalt. Milwaukee, Kobalt, and Bauer. My favorite is Dewalt for all-around power, and I feel, but Kobalt is my number one because of the price, Bauer folks 3rd for the same reason. I love Milwaukee but hate their price. LOL
