The fact that this dropped an hour or so after the marvel what if trailer where Killmonger is a major character by the looks of things is insane and good for the algorithm for Tulok
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 That's because there is no such movie. There is however an excellent stage production that was filmed in 1998 which could provide several good character builds.
Geez, this kid has a bad relationship with his cousin, nothing an Uncle can't fix! An Uncle Iroh build, so he can show Killmonger how to avoid his mentality from being Kill-wronger.
@@aman08888 Wrong Uncle, Jack. "And what would these means achieve? T'Challa went overseas to improve over the course of five years in an array of fields, my boy. If you wanted change, you could have started long ago."
I'd argue he has higher intelligence than wisdom. He's smart enough to make a cunning scheme to steal the throne, but he's not wise enough to kill the hero with a method that doesn't have a 0% success rate of killing the hero. Just a note for villains: Don't kill the hero by dropping them off a cliff. It never works. Saw their head of like a real winner does.
Its crazy how well barbarian and rogue multiclass. The Assassinate abilility really offsets the limited damage ancestrial guardian does. And rogue really helps with those INT saves....so nasty. I love it!
Wait a second- okay, full Sheperd Druid, focus on Constitution and Wisdom. 9th Level Druids get Planar Binding, so any god-monster defeated becomes a weirdly begrudging friend.
Prediction: Battle Master Fighter and Open Hand Monk. Could also see Ranger and/or Rogue, and while Vengeance Paladin doesn’t really fit mechanically, Killmonger fits the theme of keeping an oath.
Tulok I know you’re not the most into anime and gotta consume a lot of media for your job but, I recommend Trigun to you. It’s 26 episodes, got great characters, it tells a wonderful story and has some of the best character moments. Great action, but also great at making you feel. Not even asking for a build, just something to watch and relax while you watch
Ah yes, I remember the 'Rague' combo from the Jason Voorhees build. I find it amusing that this has more utility and ranged options despite having less levels in rogue.
Interesting build! I honestly thought you would go Oath of Conquest Paladin, since that fits Killmonger's philosophy far better than Barbarian. But the ancestral abilities of the Barbarian path are pretty well represented via the movie, too.
I don't know what character can do something like this but I just realized pact of the blade warlocks can basically change their weapon into another weapon as a bonus action, and as a hexblade with the improved pact weapon invocation you can swap between a melee weapon and a range weapon mid combat using the same ability for both weapons.
For Optimus Prime the build would depend if you want to make it of accurate height. To be tall you should be a rune knight. To be the character maybe go with a hexadin, to represent the matrix of leadership and the all spark
Well, OG prime doesn't grow in height or have all of the reactions. Also, pick which Optimus Prime. Generation One is vastly different than the others, and Optimus Primal is a different bot all together. OG Prime, warforged/soldier balttlemaster/ two levels of bard for those inspiring speeches. Unicron trilogy Prime, that's your paladin (because he powers up)/battlemaster. Both would have the warlock initiate feet or spell sniper for eldritch blast.
@@vernonhampton5863 Then you have the bayverse/aligned prime whose probably still a battlemaster, but with emphasis on dual-wielding. Bayverse might have a Barb level or two. Tfp Prime could also be made into a dual wielder hexblade, since Charisma could be his highest stat for leadership, eldritch blast covers the energy weapons like with the other Primes, and the Warlock spellcasting could be used to cover the mystical prime stuff and polymorph could be reflavored as vehicle mode. Not sure how to build TFP Prime in season 3/RiD 2015 tho
Barbarian and Rogue multiclass is seriously something a lot of people sleep on. My first character ever in 2015(?) was a Wood Elf Totem Barbarian/Thief Rogue/Battlemaster Fighter named Magaskawee, and she was a monster. She was a super mobile expert grappler who could take some serious damage with Bear Totem, Danger Sense, Uncanny Dodge, and Evasion all having some serious synergy. Fighter was just for a little more versatility with Action Surge, Battlemaster maneuvers, Dueling, Second Wind, etc.
I love Marvel, but I also love DC. You should do a Martian Manhunter build, or a Batman Beyond build. Even if you don’t make those, a video about how you go about making the characters would be cool
Absolutely insane that you make almost the same character in a completely different build and it just works out so perfectly! Truly a master at his craft ;) which is why I know how amazing it will be when you finally make some Jujutsu Kaisen characters!! Love ya!
Great build as always! If you do another Black Panther build, may I suggest Okoye? As the leader of the Dora Milaje and right hand of the Black Panther (whoever it may be, by her own words) she'd be a perfect candidate for a fully-dedicated lv. 20 Oath of the Crown paladin. All her spells and effects could be reflavored as Wakandan tech or just her own incredible force of personality. Love your stuff!
This build is fucking rad. I’ve watched the video twice already, once for entertainment, and one several hours later Bc I needed to build it. I couldn’t stop thinking about how fun it would be.
This is great flavor and load-out for Killmonger. Nothing about him says anything about self-preservation, or preservation of anything really. Get into melee quickly, fight brutally, and add another notch to your collection. If melee isn't an option, hit them at a distance. If they attack back, channel that hurt and harm into more aggression. Yes, it is great for Killmonger.
If you did want to swap this to a totem barbarian tiger at the 6th level can give you access to 2 more skills which Killmonger has an abundance of and wolf at the 14th level would let him knock people prone with a bonus action after hitting them with an attack. Just in case you wanted to make him thicker
Episode 304 of the Fire Emblem stats: Erik Stevens. Or Killmonger, if you prefer the comics. His weapon stats are similar to T'Challa's as you can probably tell from him having the usual first MCU movie trope of being exactly the same powerset-wise to the protagonist: brawling, heavy armor (vibranium), and authority (as wannabe king of the Wakandans). However, instead of being good with lances, he's good with bows instead due to being good with guns. He's more of an all-rounder than T'Challa is with more attack and charm but worse luck and even worse magic.
So Black Panther was a wonderful movie that also killed two of the best Marvel Villians in the same movie. Andy Serkis was so fun as Claw and Killmonger was just as rad. like totally agree that their deaths were such a waste of awesome characters.
They will be back...the MCU is gonna have a multi-verse scramble...dead characters will come back...new versions and recasting of characters both dead and alive.....you can see it with all the multi-verse/timeline stuff they have been doing.
Tulok, I was bored and did the math for a thing I now desire to do in a game of Dungeons and Dragons. Usain Bolt, the real man, would be able to run ~240 feet per round, which is actually nuts btw. But I don't want a super fast build, you've already done Sonic and the Flash etc. I want to know how many ways and with what classes I can get to 240 (or slightly above) feet of movement in a turn, and in how many levels. I think that this speed is reasonable to achieve with some optimizing and multiclassing, and isn't too too overkill. Thank you for reading.
Erik talked his way into a museum heist, brokered a deal with Klaue, double crossed him to gain entrance to Wakanda and ruled (briefly) with Intimidation I think CHA is being undersold here
I feel that's being generous. He walked into an open museum, offered to pay a mercenary a lot of money and double crossed him. That honestly makes a better argument for high intelligence.
Hey man can you do Trafalgar Law from One Piece next? He’d be SUCH a cool character to play in D&D. Bro got some whacky devil fruit powers that could be crazy to use in a campaign
I built Weapon Hex as a Hexblade, with her being a Wildhunt shifter for the superior senses, and the Pact of the Blade so she could summon arcane claws. Easily one of my favorite character build, she was so fun.
I don't see how anyone can't enjoy this character, but if I'm gonna change something I'd probably go with Fighter levels instead of Rouge, less skills but the weapon proficiency and Solider background is a better match to Killmonger's world traveling mercenary style
Another great video, Sir! I was wondering if you have any plans to do one of these for Moon Knight? Hopefully so, and hopefully not waiting for the tv series to come out. :P Anyways, appreciate your work!
It's a great build but if we could take the vibranium efects by magical itens I would put more rogue levels and put some gloomstalker ranger levels intead of the barbarian ones
