Correct. It says on their site 2-3 person I believe but I think it’s a 2 max in my opinion. With one person it’s awesome. Lots more room for gear and to stretch out.
The prices vary depending on the model that you are looking at but yes they are fairly pricey and not a solution for everyone. Very similar in build quality to that of the ice shacks you mentioned.
The audio isn't the best I know. My friend helped me record with a new mic setup that he had so I'm thinking the settings weren't dialed in. Definitely something I double check now! Also just realizing this is from a year ago. lol Hope you got your tent and are loving it!
You could buy a hard top car tent here in Australia cheaper than this overpriced ice tent . Looks flash. Gave it the right name though other than the 'f' in the name.
He said he didn't want to do that. Then you can't drive off you have to pack it up again and again. If you want to go adventuring during the day. This is a good option
I see your point. There are definitely pro's and con's to both. Here in the states you'd be hard pressed to find an RTT for under a grand that has any quality to it. I camped in the ShiftPod a few times and loved how dark it was in the mornings, I was actually able to sleep in. I was less impressed with the quality but this was version 1 of their mini and they've since improved the quality. The advantage to having a hub tent or ground tent is the ability to drive off and explore without having to break camp down. Been looking into a tent cot, that seems to be a pretty big camping item in Australia if i'm not mistaken.
Would take this over a roof top tent. I love mine
That's a bold claim! They are pretty great though and very warm for those looking to camp in the winter months.
Great review! Thanks for sharing
Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate the support!
Hi can you leave the floor permanantly zipped in ??
Yes you can!
Nice review! What size air mattress can you fit inside?
I have a cot that I use which is 67” long. I’m sure your could fit a twin air mattress in it. Just check the specs on their website for dimensions.
Thanks, Great Video!
Thank you! Glad you liked it!
Is this the original v1 or v2?
This is the original V1.
Where could I purchase one
Just a quick google search for “shift pod tent”. Fairly easy
So, this is a 1-2 person tent?

Pine State Overland Thanks!
There is 2 air vents too so you don’t have to open the windows.
Exactly!
No mention of price... $700!!! These are basically reflective Canadian ice fishing shelters.

When doing video adjust your Mike. Most of the time you are not loud enough.
Thanks for the feedback! It was a new mic setup we were trying. Thanks for watching!
WHAT?!
Or project your voice. I'm saving my Money for one.

A homeless man will welcome this!
No doubt about that!

Agreed. Prices in the states for RTT's is starting to get out of hand.
Definitely a pro of having a hub or ground tent.
