  • A rather grainy old bit of footage that I recently discovered. This video shows Croxteth Park's miniature railway during its short lived re-opening.
Filmed in 2009 with my very first Kodak M883 camera, we take a short round trip behind the petrol hydrostatic 'Mardyke Osprey' HST powercar built in 1983, the Dukes Of Hazard horn was easily the best part about it!
The 1982 Deltic outline 'Mardyke Merlin' can also be seen on standby in the loop, and came out to play later in the day.
As far as I am aware this is the only video footage of the railway before its closure later the same year, before the local braindead took it upon themselves to vandalise what remained for the second time around.
Also, don't get excited, this isn't my return to RUclips.
