gen 5 really was a wierd yet good time for the bug type honestly to add to the bugs and art association you have bugs just being beautiful sometimes whether thats patterns like on moths, butterflies, some species of beetles, etc or in elegant structure like dragonflies, mantises, centipedes, and any bug that is heavily doing mimicry like stickbugs
The most interesting thing about "jobs" pre Gen 5 to me is Bugsy, he is a bug specialist, he is an authority on bugs, his fight shows you what he learned in his studies on bugs: Even if you train Metapod and Kakuna beyond their natural evolution levels they don't get better Yes I consider studying bugs a job for this way too ling joke
It's interesting to think about Bugsy as a character because they wanted a character to represent the outdoors, but they didn't want a rock or ground type trainer...so they chose bugs. Cause his other specialty is how he goes around studying ruins donig archeologist stuff. He's an interesting character for sure.
