Yep, cuckoo birds are where... that... comes from.

@@brziperiod I'm dying 🤣
I'm enjoying these Casual Geographic reactions. I've been watching this young man for years. He does his research while presenting his knowledge in an informative and witty style. I can tell you that he knows his animals. he is a master of subtle humor, and he loves his mama.
10:20 Australia was just God playing around in developer mode and he accidentally forgot to make a new save before he decided to start working on the rest of everything else - but by the time he remembered he'd already put in way too much time to start over so he just left it in as a kind of survival mode zone. You know, it's the original case of "that's not a bug, it's a feature."
The Atlas Moth is absolutely beautiful!
"also Blopfish don't look like this unless you kidnap them from their home" is a fire line against fishing
Watching this in the KC area and legit thought I was just hearing the current great outdoors. No recent tornado warnings but that evening glow is a telltale sign
Mr. Boyd let the subscribers get a little bit of info about you and life. Also how you grew up. It will give us more context about your reactions. We are dying to know bro. Keep it up
including your mother's maiden name and the three funky digits on the back of your CC please
11:43 Where's the scientists trying to save ME from dying alone?
Australian creatures are not only venomous but clever as well. Predatory birds will take burning sticks from a brush fire to start another one some distance away so they can catch more creatures fleeing the fire.
Funny when he mentioned Osprey I was looking at one. They are all over Florida . Especially love building massive nests on the tall light poles all down the interstate

Maybe, but you gotta give him; he's really creative in his insults. And remember, we're talking about the deep sea, so fish exist their in all shapes and sizes... of ugly.
Edit: in Australia there's even a plant nicknamed the suicide plant. It's covered in tiny hairs with some toxin in it that causes such terrible pain that people often kill themselves after slightly touching them. I've even read of a case where a man got hairs on his chest, and after 15 years he feels pressure and a cold stabbing pain whenever taking a shower. Worst is that the plant doesn't even have to be near to ruin your life. Just a loose leaf, or some left behind hairs are enough... Australia
Your reaction videos are HYSTERICAL!!! 🤣🤣🤣
@MrLBoyd This was absolutely fun! So sorry about your home and I really hope you stay safe.
Yay!! Nightly nature time! 😂🖤
Uncircumcised paralysis demon is CRAZY 💀😂😂
The most creative part is not the animals themselves, but how this guy from Casual Geographic roast, ehm, I mean, describes them.
Had no idea consumer drones could cost $80k, thought $5-10 was max. That's nuts
Here in Australia the cities and most towns are fairly safe from wild animals, aside from the countless spiders and occasional toilet snake (I wish I was making that up!), but out in the bush, all bets are off. And if you are travelling in any kind of ground vehicle, make sure it has a solid bullbar (We also call them roobars here) and/or a ShuRoo (It makes a loud cricket noise and apparently kangaroos are deathly afraid of crickets for some bizarre reason) because otherwise a kangaroo will jump out at you and write that vehicle off. You don't see it as much on the major highways, but on other roads, especially dirt roads, you are rolling the dice every time.
I hear you guys have to wear strong gloves and boots when gardening, in case you accidentally touch a scorpion chilling under a rock or tool. Is that true?
@@fransthefox9682 I have yet to see a scorpion myself, but given how many plants here have thorns or spikes, it's good advice anyway.
@@Sir_Uncle_Ned Ah I see.
@@fransthefox9682 Funnily enough, after doing some reading up, it turns out the worst a scorpion can do to you over here is minor irritation. They're deadly to smaller critters, but they can't do anything to us. Even I have to admit that's a bit bizzare.
@@Sir_Uncle_Ned Oh yes. There are no scorpions in Australia that can be potentially fatal to a person. The dangerous ones are in Africa, Asia and North America.
Omfg! He roasted the sht out of that fish! I cant!😂 hahahhaaa
The rain in Spain falls mainly on the... Boyd.
Really enjoying your page so glad i found it.
This has become one of my favorite reactions. All I can say is poor Jeremy. Australia does sound crazy but there are many nice areas. But no I don't want to see one of their spiders. I am still trying to get over the one in the Lord of the Rings movie (I think the 2nd one in the trilogy).
There is a web exclusive on last week tonight about octopus that is similar to casual geographic you might like. It is also done by john oliver
Hilarious as well as factual 😂😂
Over on the other side of town (Norcross) those storms weren't so bad. Move up to Alpharetta or something and you shouldn't have to worry about 'em so much. The city's heat basically destroys the storms on the way through. When I lived in Hiram, the storms were much worse.
Thanks!!!
6:43 just like humans LMAO
I hope all is well for you and your family❣❣
Yup, that is indeed true: the female cuckoo makes a female bird of another species raise her offspring. To the point that their eggs will change appearance, to match the eggs of the nest they're laid in(cuckoo eggs are noticably bigger, however). Some birds actually manage to figure it out and dump the eggs. But otherwise, yea: to raise someone else's child is what it means to be 'cucked'.
That is not the definition of being cucked. It's a possible outcome of being cucked, but certainly not the definition.

the Cuckoo chick will push other babies out of the nest
@@brziperiod ...and there it is, lol!
Easy solution : DONT INVESTIGATE THIS SHIT
I’m lucky to live in a place where tornadoes are quite rare. I turn 31 this year and I’ve only seen one once. I was six years old and it was like 10:30 at night looking out the back door it was close enough that looking out the basement door we could see it very clearly and feel the wind coming off of it, but far enough away that we were safe unless it just stopped abruptly and changed direction 90 degrees.
they can do that
@@adamskeans2515 with how far away it was from us we would’ve been fine if it changed direction. Yes, they can change direction very quickly, but with the momentum of the direction it’s going and the fact that it would have to slow to turn there is no way it could make that sharp a turn directly 90 degrees. That’s why all safety material tells you that if you’re going to attempt to drive away from it to not drive away directly because it can catch up to you, but to drive away from it at a 90 degree angle. Like unless it stopped dead right there somehow, then changed direction it would’ve hit us dead on, but they can’t stop or turn fast enough to counteract the momentum. Definitely don’t try it for obvious reasons, but we were definitely at least reasonably safe, especially being in the lowest part of a valley.
@@Kno_Buddy not no way, just highly unlikely, all I'm sayin
I haven't seen a tornado in person, but we'd get tornado watches and warnings pretty regularly in the summer when I was a kid. I remember one time sitting in the basement with Mom and a battery-powered radio freaking out because Daddy wasn't there and I didn't know if his workplace had a basement.
Don't worry sir, I believe you about the drones. *bad winky face*
8.42 yep i see you there mate always line of site never 4 miles away honest lol
took me a few videos to start enjoying this guys video's, he talks too fast and my 56k dial up modem brain struggles to keep up but you get used to it, very interesting stuff, but i do believe ignorance is bliss with most of these
really enjoy your reactions to these too
Finding bristle worms in your fish tank is the worst l o l I used to have a large reef tank .. Yeah there as funky as they're seem
..
not so fun fact, the blob fish doesn't normally look like that. They're deep sea creatures and their bodies evolved to be under immense pressure, so when they're brought to normal atmospheric pressure, they experience the equivalent of what happens to a human in a vacuum. but presumably worse because it's a much bigger pressure differential, but that's just speculation on my part.
Isn't it odd how weather works? In your state, you could move south east to Savannah and have less Tornadic weather chances. All because the ATL is closer to Dixie Alley, the southern version of Tornado alley. Have a similar situation where i am, where north west of the state has worst severe weather than us on the south east side. Also I was watching a weather stream last night and thought of you and your family when they mentioned storms in Georgia. Always hoping for safety.
what state do you live in Mr.Lboyd? I assume one of the southern states.
Hey you should check out "Walter White vs. Willy Wonka" - its not as high quality as the ERBs but still entertaining
I would never fly my drone over the state regulated 394ft, and if you say I would I’ll specifically remind you that I specifically have 3 firearms on me at all times. But either way, I specifically hope you have a great day!
Great 🎺
Take a clue from the Teletubbies and build a house that blends into the natural landscape.
Casual Geographic only spits facts. If he does put anything out that isn't fact he will put out an update and amend a video.
Your biggest fear in life is that your drone gets broken? ok then. 😀
Stay safe down there! You have to have PTSD from the last time. I feel so bad for the people of Mississippi. ❤
"I've never been higher than that".............yeah me either
Oh you mean drones......
If you're still doing music reactions you should check out this band I just heard on liquid metal called Sleep Token and their song The Summoning...it's absolute fire
Stay safe, from Illinois
On the vegan front, humans are catching up on the aggressive look.
he absolutely correct from where the word cuck comes from,
I hope you check the Killer Whale one soon ‘cause…DAMN.

Can you react to backstabber by Eminem
Do you have a gaming channel.
He has serious problems with birds too.

Casual Geographic is absolutely not casual with his mastery of the English language. His word play is top tier. 🤌
