I'm trying to read more outside of my comfort zone, and make some videos at the same time, with varying degrees of success 😅. Do you read cozy mysteries? Have you read the books in this video? Let me know what are some of your favourite cozy mystery books!

I read my first real modern cosy mystery last year, Murder in G Major, about an American Black musician who gets stuck in Ireland and she ends in a house with a ghost and is trying to solve his and his wife's murder from 25 yrs ago. It was quite fun and I plan on finishing the series!

Right off the bat, when you upload a new video, I fangirl like teen fans back in the early 2010's, when they go to the premier of a new Twilight movie and see Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattison. Thank you for the upload on this beautiful Thursday morning. 👋👋🤓

Aw, thank you! Means a lot to know people are excited about a new video of mine 😊

This was so exciting! I love the genre, so it was nice to see you give it a try. Some of them are...yeah, but others are great light reads that have a puzzle to solve. I’m glad you found one you enjoy, and as I’m sure you noticed there are lots of other book themed ones if you want another sometime. My favourites tend to be the ones that either book related or historical. The Maisie Dobbs series is very popular and I’m reading through it right now, the Phryne Fisher books are also good historical ones. You could also try Jim Butchers Harry Dresden Files, which aren’t cozy mysteries but are mystery urban fantasies so you may find those more to your taste.

I have heard of the Maisie Dobbs series, might check it out at some point. And I'm already reading Dresden Files, though I guess I do classify those more as urban fantasy than mystery, but of course that element is present as well.

0:23 "I have read Agatha Christies"...with your tone and expression, that was almost like a confession. "I ate all the cookies. I drank all the milk! I read Agatha Christies!" lol

    Hey Iasmina!!
I read all cozy mysteries! I have a cozy mystery channel...love them! So, I had never heard of the 2nd book that you dnfed! I have read the other two and completely agree. Im not a huge fan (it's ok) of the tea shop series and I like/not love the booktown mysteries.
If you ever feel up to trying more cozies here are a few of my favorites The Amish Candy shop series by Amanda Flower, the Cider shop series by Julie Anne Lindsey, the undercover dish series by Julia Buckley, the Hailey Powell series by Lee Hollis, and the Pepper Martin series by Casey Daniels! I can also give recs based on topics: books, crafts, bakery, b&b, etc! I have probably overwhelmed you...I just love them so much!!
    this video was really fun!💖💖

Ah thanks so much for the recommendations! 😊 It's good to hear that I may have just picked some mediocre series, so I'll definitely try some of the ones you've mentioned at some point when I feel in the mood for a cozy. Love the enthusiasm surrounding this genre for sure haha 🥰

Maybe it's just my love of cats, but when I saw the cover on the third one, I knew it wasn't going to suck as bad as the first two.

What a very interesting experimentation on reading mystery books! Let's wait until you get interested in writing a mystery of your own. Cheers, Iasmina! 😍🤓🥰

I mean I kind of already do, they're just not murder mysteries 😅

The title pun alone makes me want to read it. Was the book marked for death? Or is the bookmark going to die?

It's definitely a case of puns all the way down 😅

That's really funny, I read the same three series when I tried cosies - I loved Flavia de Luce and I've read about 6 of those now but I wasn't too bothered about the other 2 - although they were really cute!

Haha what a coincidence! I did some research and these three definitely popped up a lot on people's recommendations. Also interesting that we had different reactions to them. Have you read any other series since that you liked?

Great, cozy video and all, BUT... I have a question. During the reading of the second book, you where outside the house with a T-shirt, while during the reading of the third book it is snowing! Where do you live? What's happening with the weather?!?! Or that was just me? Dunno.

    • @IasminaEdina
      @IasminaEdina  2 года назад +1

😅 It's just because some months passed between reading the second and third book. I did not read these back to back.
