Wow, thank you Jessica for this intro to Miami districts. I live WAAAAY out west in Santa Fe, NM and after 40 years here, I NEED to be on the water and in the tropics, so i don't dry up completely! I do not know a soul in Miami, and I am a single older woman with a small dog. I want to be in a walkable area, near the water. Sounds like Edgewater from your video. I welcome any response from you.

THANK YOU SOOO MUCH for these videos!! I'm from Seattle but currently live in Los Angeles and I want to move somewhere with WARM water for diving and surfing. My best friend lives near Miami and my dream has always been to be able to live together. This is so helpful for me because as much as I'd love to visit before moving I don't think I can financially so I have no ability to wander around and test out different areas so this was the next best thing!

So right about the sunsets over Rickenbacker...the best in the world!! Also remember Sundays by the bay. Favourite spot on our holidays back in the days when flights from London to Miami was £200 return, exchange rate was $2 for £1, spending my money at Burdines Dadeland and hanging out with all my family. 💖💖💖

I hear so many stories about promoters and getting into clubs and having crazy nights out until 4am. i wanna move to miami after graduating and explore the nightlife but i had no idea where to begin.

Let me also add that all of these neighborhoods are close to each other. You can walk or take a scooter, trolley, lyft etc. I wouldn't recommend driving to Brickell if you want to go because like she said there isn't much parking and if there is it'll be expensive.

Can you make a video about trying to rent a room in a nice area? How much it cost, what type of apartment you get and what kind of roommates are there?
I have not done this yet so I am not sure. I would recommend checking on air bnb or Facebook sometimes has groups you can join!

Hi! Out of all of these areas, which would you recommended for a 27 year old single mom? Being such a young mom yet working as an engineer makes it hard to decide. I'm not sure I'm ready to settle down in a tree lined neighborhood just yet. Is there any middle ground out of these places you mentioned? I don't mind being in an apartment. We are currently in Washington, DC. Any advice helps. Thanks!
i lived in the quantum right by that park in edgewater. i miss it. can't wait to go back. Traffic supposedly has gotten worse in the last couple years but I thought it was great living there.

Yea brickell is safe! Very very nice place to live. I would recommend brickell - just be prepared there’s always traffic coming in and leaving

Where are these places located? Like Streets, etc. NW, SW..🤔 near Hialeah, Kendall, Westchester.
These are all considered Miami. Downtown, midtown, Edgewater, wynwood. They are all next to each other. Hialeah & Kendall are more out west. Hope that helps

This isn’t Miami this is downtown Miami lol … you forgot to mention Kendall , Florida city , liberty city , opa locka , north Miami , Miami Beach … lots of other cities left out … most people that come here aren’t going to live in these cities … rent in downtown is at least $2500-4500 a month .
I’m sorry I’m not familiar with Kendall, liberty city etc. that is why I left it out.

And she’s not from Miami so I wouldn’t expect her to really know the less touristy places
This is not a Miami tour these are the newest parts of Miami. And what they call wynwood now is not really wynwood the real wynwood starts on the north side of 29th street.

braking news: i live in italy and i'm well travelled. Pretty much anywhere you go in Italy you are safe at any hour of the night, and with safe i mean it, you can take a nap on a bench. Obviously there are particular areas of big cities where there is less safety but those are rare excpetions. 30 years in Milan (the financial capital) and i have NEVER seen a gun out of a movie or an officier, and i have never heard of anyone seeing one. Pretty much all continental western europe is like that with some rare excpetions (like barcelona which is famous for robs on tourist or some harsh immigrants neighborhood in paris)
