- Make your own mini science lab! Here is the second installment of the Back To The Future Garage as part of the 15 room dollhouse renovation! This week I will build a small science lab set found to the side of Doc Browns garage! It's going to be very scientific! LOL

Awesome! Great detail and the staples for handles just makes so much sense.
Love those staple drawers pulls! I was about to make some from clay and I looked over and the staple box was on my desk..and a light went off!
I love how you stay true to the movie, but add details to make it more interesting.
Also, the beakers really do look filled. Impressive!
I went back and forth on changing it but it was too boring the way it was. I think in the room with everything around it, it would have been fine, but as a stand alone piece it just needed more oomph!

Thank you, it was fun to build. Ive kinda wanted to do a lab for a while in other ways, like a mad scientist lab but this garage gave me the perfect way to use it!

Great Re-make of the Desk! Very Authentic looking! When you pulled out the Staples to be drawer handles I got so tickled !!That was truly a Old School miniature HACK!! THIS was GREAT!
Yes!!! I loved the staples, it was something I had seen years ago. I was ready to make some clay handles and then Iooked up and the staples were on my desk and I was like....oh wait, those are perfect!

I was so happy about those staples, I was two seconds from making them from clay and then the staple box was sitting on my desk and the light bulb went off..and I was like, "hold the phone!" lol
Great job on turning the classic desk into a tanker desk and the science lab! I was thinking graph paper is needed when you pulled out the pad lol! FUN one again! Love the memorabilia!!!!
oh yes! I will for sure need to add graphic paper to the scene. Great idea! I'll add so more fun details as the room comes together!

And,umm,I shouldn’t say this,but Tiny Doc Whitney’s shoes make me dizzy🤣😍
So as you know, I work In senior living and those are my residents favorite shoes too, they talk about my heels everyday at work and the residents have bets as to how long I will continue to wear heels to work! lol, anyway when I came home to film Tiny Whitney I was literally too lazy to change into (Doc Brown) pants and last minute just tossed the wig and the coat over my work outfit.

Wow! I must say I was skeptical about turning that pink desk into a tanker desk but you pulled it off beautifully, like you always do! Adding the spiral wire to the lab set was a brilliant touch. It does look like science is being done! 😂 Can't wait to see what's next! 🥰✨
Yeah I wasn't sure in the beginning what type of desk I wanted. I kinda went through some of my old stuff that needs work or has damage and had a couple different ideas but I'm super into those old metal desks and recently bought one for my husbands office so it was fresh in the ole' brain so I was like..I think I can make this! I love turning words into verbs that maybe shouldn't be! "I'm doing Science over here!" " I'm dollhousing right now!" you know whatever works in the moment! lmao!

The desk became my favorite part of this project and ironically it was a last minute addition because I wasn't going to have anything to set the chem set on until later so I am so happy I went ahead wit the project because I loved it!!!! Thank you sweet girl!

Awe thank you Kathleen truly! I'm loving working on this room so much. I think I may skip around a little this year and work on other rooms at the same time to kinda mix things up a bit! I'm thinking that I may start on a Willy Wonka Master bedroom soon also!

A good way to straighten wire that is soft like copper is to get a piece of wood that is longer then the wire. Straighten it as much as can by hand then place it on a flat surface like a table or counter and roll the piece of wood back and forth over the wire. You need to apply pretty good pressure and you want to make sure that whatever surface you do it on won’t be marred by the wire. (I wouldn’t roll it on something really rough like cement either because that can dent and scratch the wire.)
This is fantastic knowledge, thank you so so much for that! Many times, and one of my biggest faults is going too fast in a project and just accepting an imperfection rather than taking the time to make it better. I promised myself I wouldn't do that this year and here I am... lol.
