apparently at half time the canon let rip in the Cork dressing room and said only 3 players deserved to stay on the Cork team as they were so bad , Kevin Hennessy then piped up and asked him who the other 2 players were! Lol!
I must have watch that 1990 Hurling Final a hundred times on video as a young lad . What a final. What a tplayers the likes of Sean Gorman,Tomas Mulcahy, John Fitzgibbon , Tony O Suillvan,Kevin Henessy. Mark Foley
Cork Galway or Dublin could do the next double. Offaly of course got to both finals in 1981 as well. Whoever does it again won't have anyone, who was a part of both panels though. Teddy McCarthy will remain the only man, to win two senior all Ireland medals in the one year. The modern game, has pretty much rendered the dual player obsolete sadly.
@@designxyz5007 Denis unfortunately missed out on getting an all Ireland medal in football in 1990. The rules at the time stated that non playing subs weren't entitled to one.
I was disappointed Gerald Mccarthy didn't wear that turquoise tracksuit he had in the Munster Final. Like something Jimmy "The Chin" Gigante would wear
@@mickkelly431 Nah Cork deserved it. Galway as per usual did another bottle job in an all Ireland final as well. The second biggest county in Ireland, and they don't even have an all Ireland total in double digits in senior hurling, gaelic football, ladies football and camogie.

It was one of the very best finals and a great triumph for Cork. They looked doomed at one stage but staged a superb comeback.
Michael Lester always love to see his reaction when Cork are playing he always has a smart remark to make.
Galway could someday do the double just like Cork did in 1990.
