Hi Rebekah. Awe Holstein is so cute. Every time he was on camera I say "Awe." I even show him to my husband "Look at Holstein laying on the couch." You're after Christmas decoration is pretty. I hope you get better soon. Our Christmas were wonderful and magical like we have every December. We always stay home to many crazy people on the street. Our daughter received from us a new computer and a Kindle. She gave her Tuxedo cat Yen a new Christmas ornament with her name and the year we adopted her. We gave our husband a new recliner that has heat, message and lift him up until he is in a standing position. He had a knee replacement on his left knee. He and I were both happy with the gifts we received from our daughter and each other. Blessings.💝💖💝💖

hi Rebekah, very beautiful winter decor -lovely! thank you for sharing, I also had a beautiful quiet and blessed Merry Christmas and New Year's it is a tad cold in Calif but also sunny during the afternoons :) Sorry to hear you were sick with the flu, but I'm glad you're feeling better. It's the weather, I find that for myself if I don't have a good night's sleep (my immune system will be a little weak) and then go out for my early exercise in the cold weather 🥶 I will start getting the flu, so I skip those days. And if I've gotten a good night's sleep -I'm out there on my long walks ;) enjoying them oh yes!!

I love the wooden rocking horse. I didn't do any after Christmas shopping this year. Your entry way is so welcoming and really reflects the winter season. Holstein made me laugh!! 😂 He really loves the cozy spots. You no sooner put down the blanket on the entryway bench and he was hopping up to lay on it. He is just the cutest!!!
I have also left up some winter decor. We need a lot of coziness in our homes during the cold winter months.

Beautiful job Rebekah, I also love decorating with birds and the white ones look so nice in with winter decor! Two weeks ago I watched you for the first time and mentioned that the background music was so loud when you talked that I could hardly hear you, in this video it was perfect I had no problem at all! It was very pleasant and peaceful! I hope you feel better soon. If you don't mind I would highly recommend Olive Leaf Complex, I get it from Amazon and I use the Barlean's brand, I have only been sick 3 times in the last 20 years because when I feel like I'm coming down with something I take it right away and in one to two hours it's like I was never getting sick, I'm feeling great again. The stuff is amazing! They have liquid or gel caps, I hate the taste so I get the gel caps. I even have them on auto ship because I never ever want to be out of them just in case! I hate getting sick! You decorate so beautifully, I'm so happy I found you! Jill

Awe Rebekah, I am hoping you are better now! I have been enjoying tea as I recover, Your finds are so pretty! I don't know which I love more! The potted greens, the icicles or the rocking horse, they are all such wonderful timeless treasures. The swag on the mirror with the icicles flanked by the lamps and the vignette you created is simply elegant and such a winter showstopper, The shelf with the bowl and candles and everything over there is also a lovely winter moment. You just inspired me with your art as I was contemplating what to do with my Christmas framed music. I shall see what I can find in winters capes! I don't decorate for winter. I love to see it outside but I need to see the color and hope for Spring outside, HOWEVER, I LOVE to watch other people decorate for winter and enjoy it so much. Happy New Year Rebekah, my Christmas was quiet just me and my dog Diesel, both of us had a lazy day , just watched Christmas films all day and munch to food 😊 sorry to hear you haven't been well , but I hope you are feeling much better now, love the winter decor, I normally decorate my home for winter and I do a woodland theme , but not this year 😞 Pine cones I have lots that I collected years ago from the pine trees on the island just round the corner I don't put them in the oven to kill the poor insects I just shake off the cones on the floor in the garden , so the little insects can find another home in the garden . Love the birds in your decor , I like birds I have lots of birds every day in my garden , and yes I feed them every day in this cold weather I help them as much as I can with different foods, also I feed foxes at night time . I hope by now you’re feeling much better. Seems like sickness really went around this holiday season. My sister, myself, and I gave it to my niece and I had a croaky voice, but it’s back. I just have this throat clearing thing that makes me crazy. at least the coughing is done. Oh boy that was nasty. Luckily we were able to have a very nice Christmas happened like the week before. I am going to work on taking Christmas decor down tomorrow. Last week I had packed four tubs away but that’s hardly a dent in my stuff. Why is it so fun to decorate and not so much to take it down? I don’t really decorate for winter. As I said, it takes me so long to get it all down that I’ll put out Valentine decorations. I love how little Holstein just poses so cute when you take pictures of him. Have a wonderful New Year’s.
Rebekah you are a real trooper. I’m sure you really didn’t feel like decorating but as usual it turned out beautifully. I hope you soon get rid of that mess. For some reason it it seems like the crud that’s going around takes forever to get over. Take care of yourself and get plenty of rest. Your beautiful and your home is beautiful but, what I love is, it's sophisticated, classy but not over the top. It is elegant but not boastful and I think that says a lot about you too. Your not a bragger at all. I once had a beautiful spacious apartment on my own with many antiques and lovely paintings and it was a huge apartment. Too pricy but close to work where I walked to my job and grocery shopping in the snow. My mgr used my living room for a brochure photograph and showed my apartment when they did not have a empty one bedroom. I did not have Instagram at the time nor did I have a cell phone with the internet and I worked 2 jobs to support the apartment and a car payment. The summer of 2019 my Mom asked me to move in with her. She asked me to pray about it first but I told her it's time, I do not need to pray about I would be happy to move in. My Mom was always there for me as my nurse in 2016 when I was out of work for 6 months and bedridden literally for 3 of the months. When my Mom asked me to move in she felt great, we planned on a trip to Maine and maybe going back to Budapest by 2023. We worked on her yard even though it was late fall and already cold. I relandscape one flower bed area. She loved how I decorated our first Christmas together. My Mom had all Ethan Allen furniture and one Thomasville double sleigh bed in the guest room.
Within 4 months my Mom started not to feel well. 1st week in March she was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer. We talked about ideas on how I could stay in the house and buy out my siblings share and her eyes lit up when she knew I wanted to stay. She had left me all her furniture accept for the sleigh bed and one chair. I donated all but 2 antiques to Habitat Restore of my own belongings and of my own belongings I also gave to a friend at work buying her own first home. My Mom was diagnosed March 2020 and she passed away July 2021. I had one more Christmas with her less trimmings but still the greatest delight to be together.
Due to human higher powers I was unable to stay in her cozy beautiful home. I packed up her entire 31 years of life in the home and during the heart of covid highrises were not taking new renters to be on the elevators. I went to look at basement apartments but my Mom's furniture wouldn't fit down celler stairs. I literally had 2 weeks before my deadline to vacate. A wonderful Apartment Guide woman said she found me in a historic registered village a one bedroom that was 610 SQ FT Flat with a foyer which I have never had. None of my family homes ever had a foyer. I had the tour, did lots of measuring for my Mom's real very large Asian rug and I took it. All the furniture fit but, not much more. I am not allowed to use molly bolts or nails, no heat in bathroom or kitchen, only 3 kitchen cabinets. I am overwhelmed. Storage is high so LOTS here and I hope to someday move to my own little 2 bedroom condo to hopefully buy so I want to keep lots of my Mom's sentimental belongings. My living room and bedroom you cannot walk in. Only my foyer is decorated for Christmas/winter and my bathroom and my kitchen and 1/4 of my living room.
I never have new years resolutions but I do have goals and only 2 were met this year which we're to find a good church and get into my Bible more. To organize and get my place together better I have not succeeded at. I called a company to help me organize and decorate and my place is too small. My goal was to have ready for Christmas,New Year's, Ephiany and now by the 15th of January. Last Friday I worked 12 hours at my job and yesterday 10 and I was in bed by 9am. Now time to go back to work in 30 min.
I do not have any female friends to even offer to pay to come help me. I do desire to have a nice living room and bedroom. If you saw my foyer, if anyone saw my foyer I think they would love it. I started out in interior design in college but, really I just think I am a natural for some things. My overall place is embarrassing to me and between work and a disabled leg and too small of a place I have limitations. My boyfriend hasn't been here since I moved in and my Dad was here in Christmas Day and prior to that Christmas Day 2022. No one else has ever been in here other than Owl Pest Control and maintenance to bring me a new refrigerator in August.
Your style of home I do desire. I would love to find a tier riser unit such as you have in your foyer. I have vintage bowls and beautiful pine cones from my Mom's 3 back trees. She planted them when they were 2 inches tall and now they are close to the height of oak trees. I gathered many up my last winter there. I hope to find in a box I labeled winter decor my Mom's small ceramic white birds.
Your home has spurred me on mentally this gloomy rainy morning. I wish I could retire but I have 7 more years to work. I would get so much done here at home and I love to make crafts and the snowflakes I made for my living room windows last year neighbors loved.
I too have had a cold and I make my own tea and I use honey instead of sugar. I make my own tea with cloves, tang, lemonaide instant Lipton tea and cinnamon. I make a large batch ever Christmas time and put in zip lock bags in nice tins with a recipe card attached and give in a basket with a vintage dish towel and homemade jam. It's called Hot Spiced Tea. My Mom and Dad would make 100 tons of it and if Christmas Day fell on a Sunday we would have the church service on the fire side hall with the fireplace and everyone could take a tin or 2. My Dad has a friend that was a distributor of tins and I have no clue what the tins were orig made for. This year I found round tins with wood knobs on the lid from Home Goods.
I didn't mean to write a novel but, I so enjoyed this video and I have inspiration from you. Your home is beautiful. I have a friend who lives in Ontario and I screen swiped your heading to send this to her. Your style and her's I love.

Hi sweetie . It was an unusual Christmas for me. On Christmas Eve I got to host my family for a luncheon and also celebrated my grandsons Birthday. I left after my family to go spend the night with one of my sons. I was in a car accident and spent Christmas Eve in hospital and ended up with pneumonia. So sorry you have been sick. As always everything is amazing. I decorate for Winter and love the coziness it gives. Holstein has the perfect of idea of staying nice and cozy.

Happy New Year Rebekah! So sorry you have been sick but am happy you are on the mend. I was also sick the last 2 weeks with some kind of flu. Your winter decorating is beautiful as always. I have a lot of Christmas trees with warm white lights and no ornaments, so I just leave them up through January. Like you, I put away the red and green and decorate in white and silver. I need something twinkly and sparkly after the Christmas Joy! I also have a lot of battery-operated candles for extra ambience to drive away the early darkness. I don't get the snow in my area, but it still seems cold this time of year. Stay warm and healthy.
I think you're right about silver being a wintry color. So pretty with white and crystal. Hope you feel better soon. It took our family a good month to get over it.❤

Very sweet winter decorating. I do decorate somewhat for winter with snowflakes, candles, pinecones, and greens left up without the Christmas touches of red and gold. I'm sorry you're sick. I had it earlier between USA Thanksgiving and Christmas. My husband and daughter still have lingering coughs. Almost everyone I know has either had something or is just getting it now. Holstein is my two cats...they must be included in the decorating or must inspect the new additions to see if it meets their comfort needs.😂

Hi Rebekah ❄️. Talk about “ Gorgeous” decorating, everything is looking so cozy and warm and you have some really pretty greenery. We also had a very low key Xmas just hubby and me. Our son visited the first part of December so I guess it was a early Christmas. I don’t think Holstein could ever get any cuter, love how he is where ever you are, so cute 💕. I love how you decorated your entryway for winter!!! I love the pretty icicles!!! And all the greenery and pinecones. I have so many pinetrees in my yard I always pick them up and use them for decor. In east Texas we have lots of trees!!! The birds are pretty !! I keep my bird feeders filled for all my winter birds. I love to watch them!!! Holstein is just precious!!! He is such a joy to see!!! Love the way you decorated for winter, I too decorate with greenery and I also like to put out my snowmen, it looks too bear after Christmas if you don't put out anything. I love how Holstein thinks you are making him some new soft beds, love it!!

I also got a rocking horse at Winners - mine is whitewashed wood and bigger than yours - I just love it and not putting it away any time soon. I had a red velvet ribbon around it's neck for Christmas, not sure what to put on it for this winter season...........

I live in horribly hot Texas. It is only 8 days into the new year and it was nearly sweltering today. That said, I decided to extend the winter feeling. I decided to try it at work because people seemed to like the Christmas decorating that I did and I was asked to keep up the decorations that didn't really have to be for Christmas. It lifted some heavy moods in our office. I found the winter decorations to be calming to everyone. Thank you for your video. It has given me some wonderful ideas.
Your winter decorations look pretty and cozy. I like to decorate for winter too, lots of white candles, trees and deer. Definitely not ready to transition to a spring like decor. We are supposed to have our first winter storm with a chance of snow this week. Glad that you're on the mend. ❄🦌🌲

Your winter decor looks awesome! It’s inspired me to maybe do a little winter decorating myself. I do really like the natural look of the evergreens and pine cones. I like bringing in the natural outdoor look. It’s such a disappointment after Christmas to have to take all the Christmas decor down. But having a winter look can help keep with the warm & cozy ambience. Me & my family dealt with being sick over Christmas also. Not fun! We’re all doing better. Absolutely stunning and everything looks so good together. I love your little rocking horse. I have a lot of bird feeders and a heated bird bath because I love watching them. My Christmas was quiet but just the kids here and we had a very nice time. Your voice wasn’t that bad. I hope you get better soon. Did you notice that when Holstein jumped up on that bench, the blanket and Holstein have the same exact colors? Blessings my dear.❤❤
