- Hello and welcome back to my 2024 winter Decorating. Today I am getting started in my entry and living room areas of my home. Bringing to you some creative ways to decorating for the winter months without it looking to Christmassy. Starting with my mantle above my fireplace to our bench and console in the entrance. Taming it down just a bit from maximalist to some very minimal. I hope I inspire you to decorate your own home into a warm and cozy spot for you and your family.

Hello Rebecca!! I love the little white lights on the trees they glisten like snow drops!!! I love the lanterns with the lights and logs. Your living room looks pretty for winter. The wood box on fireplace hearth with the tree and pinecones I love too!!! Take care God bless!!!

No snow here in Florida but I do love it too. I'm so glad I got to live in Germany and Colorado and got to see lots of it every winter. I decorate with blue, white, light gray, and some touches of black for winter. It stays up until the middle of February and then I put all of my green up for Saint Patrick's Day. I think what you've done is so pretty. My decor is simplistic too. I think simple is perfect for winter. Your crock looks good with wood in it too. I think everything looks wonderful!❄

I now live in the Florida Panhandle and there’s no snow here. Before retiring to Florida I lived in North Georgia and we would see snow occasionally although it wouldn’t last long. The winter theme in your living room and entry looks great. 💕

Your winter decor looks beautiful and cozy. Yesterday I packed away the strictly christmas decor & left the snowmen, ice skates etc out & rearranged that somewhat. But have not undecorated the basement as yet.

My home looks very minimal as well till Spring, but I do leave up a few plain pine wreaths.

Hi Rebecca! I love your simple winter theme. I am ready to decorate for winter, but I am having to wait a few more days. My husband is having surgery on Monday and our two daughters are coming up from Texas to be with their dad. One of them has not seen my house decorated for Christmas in several years, so I am leaving my Christmas up until after she gets here. And maybe even until she has gone home. We will see how things go. Prayers for my hubby would be appreciated. Happy New Year!

Very nice winter decor! Enjoy your winter! I take away the red, but leave up green pine wreaths and white birch for our long cold winter decor here in Michigan. I am even leaving lighted greenery on my fireplace mantle, and maybe the tree without ornaments for awhile!
Hi Lorraine, I did that one year, Leaving up all the greenery including the trees it definitely felt like a woodland forest in my home.
Hi Rebecca! Love how you decorate. I love to put winter decor up too after Christmas. I use blue, white and some green. Lots of candles and clear glass to reflect light on dark days.
Great idea on the clear glass decor for such a gray sky season. That definitely would brighten up those gloomy days. Thanks for sharing. 😊❤️

These are great tips! So much of our decor from Christmas can tie over into the winter. Love that rug! I keep things minimal in the winter too, it's nice to let our eye rest a bit after all of the overwhelming Christmas decor comes down. Happy New Year Rebecca!

I have a question for do you... Do you decorate for Valentine's Day? After Christmas I incorporate winter with some Valentine's decor but nothing that says Valentine's, just hearts and snowflakes. In the past I have used snowman but not this year. This year I'm using blush pink in my pillow covers on my sofa. I got them on Amazon they look like corduroy with pom pom fringe. I also found a slipcover that is a linen with white knotted hearts. So I'm using hearts, snowflakes, & wood and ceramic trees it's so sweet and fun. 💕

I get how we change things up. it's so funny because this year for my winter Decor I'm using no red. I sort of OD'd on red. last year. I had a red slipcover on my sofa and I challenged myself to use it all the way until fall. So when it came to my Christmas decor I Incorporated a lot of forest green, browns and I only used red for some accents.
