- Why not use 7 beats per bar? Midicake ARP let's you do any musical time divisions you'd like so let's give it a go.

Arp looks an increasingly attractive proposition. I can't see how you are converting the midi to cv - it appears to do a good job. I think a lot of us are heavily invested in cv so it's good to see the two working together.
I'm using a MIDI to CV module for the conversion. There's a list of compatible modules on the Midicake Forum. They work really well and you wouldn't know the source was MIDI. They also allow you to do really interesting things like take ARP's Rhythm Pattern output as a separate Velocity CV to be used to pattern modulate anything. So versatile and so much to explore.

I did look at integrating CV in the original design for ARP but decided against it. Given the amount of additional outputs and the fact that there are already products out there that will handle that interface.
@@midicakemidi Yes. We love cv but devices that just put a single cv/gate port feel more crippled than if they hadn't bothered at all. Strangely so. I'm very tempted. I can see it working nicely with a couple of multitimbral midi synths. But for sure I'd have to get it working with the modular too. I think you've done a remarkable job so far. I'd love to see it compatible with Scala files or some other microtonal approach.
