With how difficult it is to get Pokemon cards in australia without paying ludicrous shipping costs, this is the whole reason I'm now able to attend constructed events
if you’re enjoying playing pick up two of the mew v max decks and look at a dte mew vmax deck it looks scary at first because your only energy is 4 dte but with 4 genesects in the deck you draw through your whole deck super fast you use mews cross fusion strike to use techno blast which is 190 damage with the dte attached but you can use choice belts and the power tablets to hit bigger targets im using the damien fernandez list off limitless tcg but you can find videos on how to make a dte deck with just two precons (also the deck is good i won 3 of 3 matches tonight)
Wow, and I thought the Mew VMAX League Battle deck was good. This has so many meta staples and is even pretty good straight out of the box. What an amazing product to help people get into the game.
Mew is def better than this one... Palkia just feels so depending on your opponents bench, if it does not get filled up you won't be able to get rid of bigger targets :(
Great video. I love how you discussed the deck as-is but then also went into detail about ways to upgrade it and what cards you would cut. I've gotten a few friends and students into the game by doing something similar with the Mew VMAX deck.
Definitely a fan of the Ice Ryder Calyrex. I actually started with my Ice Ryder League Battle deck and modified it post-rotation with many of the cards from the Palkia deck you feature here. Great to get some tips from an expert to help me refine it further. I do prefer / am more comfortable with using the Ice Ryder as the attacker, but that may just be because I've been using it for longer. Really well structured video as always (I need to find someone that lays it out this nicely for MTG!)
Thanks so much for this video. I bought the deck today and then was so happy to see you’d covered it. I built your first suggestion online and I’m working on getting it sorted irl. It’s been fun so far but I need to get used to what I’m supposed to prioritise
In the path build, have you considered canceling cologne for the deck? I find it can be useful in combination with cross switchers to bring up a manaphy and then snipe 2 Comfeys/Ralts/Kirlia.
The mew is probably the better product immediately but in a few months time I think the palkia deck + some new inclusions from paldea evolved will be fantastic and literally a top tier deck
1. I really don't agree with keeping VIP Pass in the deck. Pass is good for decks that can handle dead draws and/or have reliable turn 1 draw - Kirlia or Comfey can get rid of them, with the added benefit that it makes the decision easier. This deck doesn't have either of those, so it hurts more than it helps. Just swap all four for Nest Balls, and maybe cut one of the Ultra Balls. 2. Can you explain the reasoning behind keeping the Energy Search rather than swapping one or both for more basic energy? Between Melony and Greninja, you really just want to have more energy rather than having the item - the only reason I can think of is being able to Irida for it and having that little bit of deck thinning. 3. I'd personally play three Research over some combination of Irida, Judge and Boss. Not even mentioning the most famous draw supporter in all of PTCG in this video is just bizarre. 4. Why keep two of the Trekking Shoes? The way I see it, if a deck wants to have Trekking Shoes, it wants to have all four of them.
So at least from my experience playing it, here are my thoughts: Nest Ball isn’t necessarily better in a strict sense, going first if you have them great, if not no big loss, you can pitch them later to Ultra Ball. If you’re going second and it’s still your first turn, with say Irida in hand it’s an easy grab to start filling the bench. Agree it’s annoying to draw later on though regardless, but I’d still opt for it over Nest Ball for now. Energy Search is mostly nice to fetch with Irida if you need it since you can’t fetch energy from the deck, only the discard, I’d argue that’s a better justification than 2 more energy since there’s not a ton of trainer/item lock decks out there. Agree with Research, I’d personally ditch the trekking shoes for it. And definitely could use a skwovet regardless if you go that path to the peak route or not, I’ve had games where cards will get stuck in hand and make it hard to use bibarel, and skwovet solves that issue very nicely.

Awesome guide for beginners who want to get competitive!

This is a great video! I was actually considering getting one to jump into competitive battling and you have sold me!

This is perfect with 3 of the chien pao ex battle decks.
Those come out in July sadly

Anything in the Trainer's Toolkit 2023 worth putting in this deck? Im considering entering PKM TCG and eyeing this Palkia list with this years toolkit
Thoughts on the Palkia and Gyrados ex deck? Played against it today and the combo of gyrados with the inteleon is really strong
This is crazy for those who really want to get real good! Get this now!

That’s why there is still lost city even in the path build to deal with manaphy first then enable greninja!
What's your thoughts on replacing the Bibarel line with the Revaroom line?
i think bibarel has proven itself to be the stronger choice even though there is good synergy with this deck
Would the path build also be a good budget build for those who can't or don't wanna spend a ton of money on a deck
Yea think it’s a great budget option right now
Please put the deck list in your “..more” section. Makes it a lot easier than squinting at the screen
Which booster pack I need to open to obtain some cards like Inteleon/ Path of the peak/lost city/ Lumineon V /Mew/Drapion V?
Great video! you won a new suscriber my friend:)
The cheapest method would be to just buy the singles because the handful of cards needed are from different sets
@@OmniPoke agreed- if building by a specific deck, it’s TONS cheaper to just buy the few cards you need off TCG or some other site.
This or the mew VMAX league battle deck?
The mew is probably the better product immediately but in a few months time I think the palkia deck + some new inclusions from paldea evolved will be fantastic and literally a top tier deck
@@OmniPoke awesome. Thanks
I have heard that mew deck will rotate out mostly in 5 months. How do you feel about buying mew deck now?
12:09 quick shootings rotated out btw so if ur playing in leagues you wont be able to use it.
Quick shooting is definitely in format 😅 it’s shady dealings which rotated

Interesting feedback hope Joe will pick up on it :)
