    Thank you, for a great tutorial, you are a great teacher ! You have convinced me to open my 5 year new never open boxed knitting machine and hopefully attempt a small blanket over the holidays . Your apologetic explanation about the reason for the chewed off end of your crochet needle, and "can't have anything nice right," comment received universal sympathy from all the people in the world who share their space with children and is centuries old. 😂😂😂My Grandfather had his own rendition of that one! 😂😂😂The struggle is still real! Thank God, children have replacement teeth🙏🙏🙏 Already Subscribed, and will binge watch your videos and looking forward to some more awesome videos. Wishing you, and your family a blessed holiday season.

      This comment just made my day!! You are completely right TG!! All our living room furniture is pretty much destroyed at this point, but I can't convince myself to buy anything new (beside new furniture is NOT in the budget right now). I know that the minute I buy anything new that it will be drawn on, spilled on, or otherwise broken within a month. 😭 New furniture is for when the kids are at least all school age. 4 girls under 8 is not for the faint of heart... But I love them so!
      I am SO glad you like my channel! I am happy you are here TG!! 😊😁

      @@YarnatPlay So glad it did ! Btw. We grew up with second hand furniture all our lives and our family was the only house in the neighborhood where the living room was “lived in,” couch pillow forts anyone and sofa trampoline ?????!! Everyone else’s living room was only for guests and special occasions 🙄🙄🙄 (that’s how the kids felt about that) museum anybody????? I now have gray and black hairs sprouting on my chiny chin chin and I still remember those precious times . My parents never bought new furniture btw they just reupholstered everything since it was better than the new cardboard furniture in the stores !!! 😂😂😂
      Besides it gave us the appreciation and understanding of the real value of things. Pillow forts are currently being built as we speak and sofa trampoline training is being held in my now lived in living room. 😂🤣😂🤣 Don’t sweat the small stuff!!! I still find random hardened pieces of chewed up lollipop sticks and popsicle wrappers when vacuuming under sofa pillows and sofas during spring cleaning and we are talking about middle schoolers 😂🤣😂🤣 Your baby will have fond memories of the precious time spent with you in your comfy loving 🥰 family home . Long reply but just wanted to encourage with a real story 😊

      @@t398g thank you for the encouragement. 😊 I can count on one hand the amount of new furniture we have purchased since my husband and I have been married these past 10 years... My crochet time is over booked until after I finish Christmas. I purchased my King sized addi, made a hat and then placed it on a shelf where it sat for a couple of months. Christmas came too fast and I was running out of time to finish all of my gifts, so I dug it out to just make a couple of hats. LOL that was 2 weeks ago and I have been using it every day since....just loving it. Now I need to buy the little guy to make this blanket!!! This is how I did the fringe: I simply cut a bunch of strands of yarn to the same length, pulled a single strand of yearn through each stitch on the bottom so their ends touched, and tied the ends together close to the edge of the blanket to secure it down. I hope that helps!

    Hi I just purchased the diagram pattern from your link, can you let me know approx. how many skein's of yarn you used for this project?

      Of course! Start with 2 skeins of the dark tone, and then 5 each of the mid and light tones. 😊

    How many rolls of each color did you end up needing for this blanket? Thanks in advance for the information.

    Quick question. When you are joining the tubes at first, are you using a tail or a new piece of yarn that isn't attached to anything. Love the tutorial though! I'll be using your video to help me make my own!

    • @YarnatPlay
      @YarnatPlay  2 года назад +1

      A new piece of yarn. you could use your tail, but it would have to SUPER long.

    Is there any way to do it without the 22 needle machine

    Your video is fantastic! Thank you for sharing it with us. A quick question: the yarn cakes are perfect, is that the original skein or did you make them? And what machine did you use?

      I make my own cakes using my Stanwood yarn winder. 😊

    This is beautiful blanket! With so many comments, I'm not sure if this has already been asked before, but where did you get that "yarn tensioner"? You had mentioned it had broke in the video, but I've not seen something like this before. I would love to have this. Thank you!!

    Can you tell me how many skeins of yarn you used? I need to calculate my costs so I can see if I can afford to do this right now.

      Welcome Linda!! Sorry I didn't explain in the video. It is a a great little gadget that keeps the yarn at the perfect tension while I am turning out rows. It make the tubes very professional and even. Here is the link to where I got mine. 😊

      I was bad and didn't track my yarn like I should have. 🤦 But I would say at least 2 skeins of the dark tone, and 5 skeins each on the mid and light tones would be a good starting point!
