@@nataliarobless I tried and it’s always not cutting at the right spot or it’s not cutting all the way through. In the end I would have to cut it by hand. Maybe I’m just not getting the setting right. Are you cutting it with silhouette?
It's really just experimentation and lots of research. Some printers might print darker than it should be. So, you need have a few extras shrink sheets for testing. I'll make a video about this to explain more :)
I have used both but I prefer the white one. For the translucent one, I had to paint the back part. It works better as a keychain not for pins and magnets.
@@nuffypuffy thank you! This is exactly what I worry about the transluscent one as the color might not come out solid like the one in the white shrink film
hi thank you for the process video, i was wondering if you could share where you purchase the printable shrink plastic from? i'm also from sg but the ones I found is clear and they don't work well :(
Hi fellow SG-porean! You're most welcome. I hope you enjoyed the video! I got the plastic from shopee. shopee.sg/product/43961462/1046111886?smtt=0.136472908-1628233416.3 but the white printable one is sold out. Maybe try other sellers by just looking up by the same name? Otherwise, you can paint the back white so it won't be so see through. But I still think the colour will be quite dull.
@nuffypuffy thank you so much! I will search it up :) the ones I got from shopee that was transparent the ink bleeds :( but will definitely try this seller/similar shrink brands!!
@@sarahseptiana8092 yes. Print on the non glossy side. I can’t remember the temp, maybe you can try 160 degrees. Start at a low temperature because different ovens work differently. Then bump it up if you think the shrinking is too slow. For the duration, I waited till it uncurled then I quickly take it out to flatten it.
Hi, could you tell me what printer you used? I already have a inkjet printer but the printer can't take the thic paper... 😢 so i want to buy a new printer but can't find any info on what type i should buy. Thanks in advance and nice vid!
Canon MB5170 Inkjet Printer. This printer is massive. Mainly for office use. But I suggest you search for printers that can take in papers that are thicker than 300gsm. I hope this helps :)
I used a printable shrink plastic, it depends on your country, I got mine online in Singapore, the link is in my description. If you don’t have a printer, you can just draw and cut it, make sure to leave some space to punch a hole if you want to make it into a keychain. I hope this helps.
Of course you can! I'd prefer natural UV aka the SUN. Sometimes, mine turned out super sticky when I use the UV lamp. Maybe coz it didn't go long enough or my UV resin is not up to quality.
If you are using UV resin, put a layer first then add another layer just for the magnet and make sure you hold the magnet while using the UV light, otherwise it will keep sliding around. I hope this helps!
I love the wobbly sound of the plastic ❤
Hahaha! It does sound nice
One of the best videos ive seen on shrinkable printer paper! Thank you!!!!!

Maybe you can use sandpaper on the back to create texture for the glue to stick.

May i know, what kind of printer do you use? Do you highly recommend it?
It's a heavy duty printer and I love it. It prints super fast. Canon MB5170. But the inks might be expensive. It does last me about half a year.
Did you use the white shrink film? And also have you tried printing on the transluscent kind?

It's UV resin :)
I tried this method last night and when I put the mod podge dimensional magic on it caused the colors to bleed. Any tips on how to prevent this?
Maybe you could try to use protective spray, let it dry, and then add the mod podge. I've tried dimensions magic and I didn't like it.
What paper are you using pls. What inkjet shrink plastic is that?
Hi, I got it from shoppe. There’s no brand. Just a printable shrink plastic for inkjet. The link is in my bio.
Can I ask you something, can we take print on usual printers
Or there are any other specific printers?
I'm using inkjet. Maybe check with the supplier first to see if you can print it out on inkjet or laser printers.
