A relatively new visitor to Toronto Pearson Airport these days. Air India inaugurated their route from New Delhi to Toronto in September 2019, operating the flight 3 times per week. The return flight to New Delhi, with the departure captured here during the height of the COVID-19 Pandemic travel restrictions, is roughly 13 hours nonstop, on their Boeing 777-300ER.

Fun Fact: While I was going from Chicago to Delhi on UA, this 777 was right next to mine. I checked on Flightradar24 and it said it was going to Chicago but departing later. When we landed, this plane actually came earlier because India has open Russian airspace.

How is the Airline ? I’m flying from Toronto to New Delhi to Pune .First time to India.. I’m booked for November to December 2022. I’m hoping to semi retire there eventually during the winter months in Canada..
Should be okay.. They are pretty old and they're getting refurbished one after the other. You'd be lucky if you are boarding one with a refurbished cabin haha. If I may, why did you not take the Toronto to Mumbai direct? You could've then taken a cab to Pune which is about 60miles from Mumbai?

Air India being a national carrier has names dedicated or inscriptwd on their planes of states and places, like himachal, konark, delhi etc. Many airliners do this too, just like spicejet names with spices :)

This is the worst airline and worst plane to come to Pearson Airport. Anyone who works there knows it and doesn't like the sight of this bankrupt airline. Very poor airline and service.
