- Made a quick trap beat with the latest @ArturiaOfficial Pigments update. The drums came from stock @AkaiProVideo MPC One samples. Everything was recorded with @Ableton Live. Lots of Flavor Pro VST was used as well.

Great vibe! I love it
Thank you Pablo! ❤🙏
Nice chill vibe , really liked it :)
Thanks 🙏
Ayyyyyyyy!!!
🔥
Cool. I just decided to take the plunge on an old tape portastudio. Had one back in the 90s. Will be interesting to see how it fits into my workflow (will be using it more as an effect I think :)
Nice! Keep me updated on your experience! I have one that I use from time to time but never made a permanent effect in the studio.
@@TeftyMeems cool. I’ve been doing a lot of lofi so figured worth a shot. I use my UA 4710 and API 500 series stuff which adds mojo… but figured it was time for a little exploring, lol….
Nice chill vibe! How did you make the hihats accelerate like that?
Thank you! It's the "Note Repeat" feature in the MPC and it allows you to change the subdivision of the timing in realtime as you play it. It's honestly not the most intuitive, but it gets the job done 🤣
Very nice...I see you like working with audio files. You should check out Reaper.
Yeah Reaper is great. I've used it in the past to test out. I was going audio a lot in this because I wanted to utilize the time stretching in Ableton to 'vibe' things out. Thanks for watching, Tony! ❤
@@TeftyMeems Yeah, I love Ableton...my current fave is FLS 21. It also has some really cool audio capabilities as well as the incredible piano roll. I use a number of DAWs including FLS, Ableton, Reaper, Bitwig, Studio One, Cubase, and Renoise.
I mean its more of a "sad" trap "realtalk" kindof beat. But sounds sick! But i feel like some percussion would have spiced it up even more :D
I feel that! Thanks for listening
So to use the mpc inside of ableton I’m assuming you have to be in controller mode?? I
As plugin , yes ,but if you want to use the mpc as standalone you'll have to record the audio/midi from your computer interface
Correct, controller mode is required. And you have to enable the "overdub" button in the preferences of the MPC Plugin. Also keep in mind where your measures are in the DAW because they'll correspond to where your measures land in the MPC Plugin.
And one final tip, all the additional outputs work in the plugin, so you can route all the sounds to different channels in your DAW from the MPC Plugin if you set it up that way.
@@TeftyMeems Nice! So once you set it up the first time and tweak it to your liking can you make a template to load each time?
Yup with Ableton no problem. If you save the MPC plugin with the Template, it'll remember the MPC Project loaded, so you'll have to load a new project each time otherwise it'll keep referencing the project that was saved with the template in Ableton 👍
(hopefully that made sense 🤣)
