What he did on supernova is astonishing. I hope this guy continues. We have exciting music again. The stupid American record companies are afraid to take risks and the Koreans are doing it. I’m begging you guys to add some kind of low cpu option. It’s crazy to me that pigments spikes at twice the cpu usage that something like Hive 2 does.
@arturia I completely agree, I’ve made the decision to stop wasting my time. My MacBook Pro can handle Ableton live, maschine, 4 midi controllers, 8 audio channels and 10 vst’s.
But open up Pigments 4 in standalone…..it’s ready to melt!!!

Love the update but listen to your fans! I almost switched over to another synth but the update kept me invested. The update is good but come on, there still basic needs that need to be met. Phase issues, weird level difference between synth types( harmonic engine is very quiet). Sure there’s more I can’t remember.
Well, I have Pigments and the whole bunch of V including the FX bundle, but a bit more melody would have been nice. And I can make the most beautiful melodies with Pigments! Everybody happy!

Am I alone in thinking this dude doesn’t really know what he’s doing? 😂
well, he's produced for Rhianna, Anderson Paak & has co-produced with Dr.Dre. I get what you mean, but just because someone doesn't know all the technicalities of a synth doesn't mean they aren't able to arrive at a sick sound they've designed. What comes out the speakers when you press play is the bottom line. Doesn't matter if you understand phase distortion or not, it still sounds the same when you turn the knob.
@@prod.bronze You're absolutely right - and I'm really not questioning his credentials. I guess my point is that we didn't learn much in the seven minutes of this video, other than you can get good sounds with Pigments by taking a preset and twisting knobs mindlessly! They could have got that message across in 20 seconds. I'd also argue that random twiddling isn't sound design!
@@vitmedia Completely get your point, and thought of that as I left the comment. It wasn't very informative or educational. I imagine Arturia was trying to target beat makers and people that wouldn't call themselves sound designers with this video. We will have to agree to disagree that 'random' twiddling isn't sound design though. as its not random, every tweak is getting closer to the desired sound, that he designed.
