Hello, For a combination of Sony speakers XS-162ES at front & XS-160ES at rear, which is a suitable amplifier among Sony XM-GS4 or XM-4ES? Would these speakers fit in my 2016 f150 lariat crew cab with the stock Sony head unit? Would that head unit be powerful enough to run these without an additional amplifier?
This will be largely subjective. You radio, amps, vehicle, ears all play a part! Our advisors would love to help you on a more personal level: bit.ly/2KP1zS3
Our research department did not find enough room in the stock mounting locations to take these speakers. If a custom work is done to make room for them, then it is best to install an aftermarket amp to power them. The reason is that the stock speakers have a lower impedance than these speakers. These speaker will pull less power than the stock speakers and at this level, that will produce a noticeably reduced volume level which will lead to an overall, lower sound quality.

We can check on this. What year is your Sierra pickup? What cab does your pickup have? Also, are you hoping to use the amp in your Bose sound system to power then new speakers?
We do not expect that replacing the speakers in that system with these Sony Mobile ES will produce that level of difference in sound. There are other speakers that can give that level of a difference. Speakers with a 92 or higher sensitivity will typically give that level of a change in sound in this system.

It can work but that is less power than we recommend giving it for best clarity. The Sony ES subwoofer can handle up to 450 watts RMS and we recommend a minimum of 70% of that top RMS watts. The ideal amp should output 315-450 watts RMS for the sub.
Both great brands! What types of music do you listen to most often and what will you be using for power? Did you want to fit these into a specific vehicle?
We are not able to research a peugeot to know what can fit into it. The Sony ES speakers are better at producing a clearer sound than the Pioneer speakers. If you can run a subwoofer with them, you will have the best of both of those aspects of audio. If you cannot and the preference between them is the best bass, the Pioneer speakers are better. You may want to check with a local installer if its possible to install either of those into your vehicle.
