    thank you Terri, very helpful and clear! A life saver as I just purchased and need to do a rather lengthy project for my employer in a short time. You have the best tutorial on adding letters. :-)

    On the video you said you would show us how to upload purchased fonts into Sew WhatPro. Do you have another video that shows that? Thank you! This video was great! Learning how to work this software.

    I know this video is old but I am hopiing to get my questioin answered. I did just as the video says and was able to stitch out the words with my design but it did needle stops after every letter instead of stitching everything at once. There were even multiple needle stops in the middle of some letters! What can I do to make it stitch everything together. Thanks.
    FYI - I did join all adjecant colors which I thought should take care of it. It worked for the picture but not the words.

    Thank you for your helpful videos! I watched this one on using the ttf's on our computer and did a little practice design using Tabitha Font. I typed "Happy Fall" with a slight curve. I used it at 72., although I did resize it once it was on the screen. It did pretty good (although my machine was going so fast that it scared me) until it got to the Y. Here it got all balled up and broke my needle. ONLY this letter was raised and messy. Any idea what I did wrong?

    Great video, if i have several words, how can i group them to stitch at once? Like subway stile design, thank you!

    • @smithknk1
      @smithknk1 9 лет назад

      +veguecolep - you add your words to the design screen in separate groupings and manipulate them to how you want them, changing the different words with color or font - each set of words is a separate group. You can rotate the words, change the colors, size and font for each group! Move them around until you are happy with them and GO SEW!!!

    I downloaded a true type font to use with Sew What Pro. I have a Brother PE770 machine. I am able to get the file on the thumb drive and see it on the screen of my PE770 machine. However, when it does the monogramming it is not correct. Base stitches under the first letter are too long and the remaining stitching doesn't come out correct on my project. What am I doing wrong? Anyone have this problem? Thanks

    I have been told you can download additional .ttf fonts. I have done so and I thought added it as a "user font", but I still don't see it listed in the font list. If I go to "delete user fonts" it does show the font. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your help and for the tutorial!

      Rachel I know this is 4 years later and I hope you were able to resolve your problem. If not, then note that you cannot see your downloaded font by clicking on the user font alone.
      After downloading and installing your fonts. You click on user fonts, add the font you want. Then click on font and size button, scroll through or type the first letter of your font name to see it. Click on it and press ok. Type out what you want to check if it shows as your font, if it does, then you are game. Hope this helps.
      This happened to me too until I followed this route.

    I bought and downloaded a font to use. I tried to add it to SWP in the "add user fonts" but am not able to add it. Says that no .ttf and .otf can be found. Is this because I am using the trial version of SWP right now? Also, the arch/slant text button is not available. Thanks!

    • @smithknk1
      @smithknk1 9 лет назад

      +Donna Wilkins you need to install the font into your computer by right clicking on the font.ttf/otf and clicking install font - once that is done, you will have it available to use

    Can I just do words such as a phrase, without a picture? do I have to have sew write to do words?

    • @EverythingCustomMade
      @EverythingCustomMade 3 года назад

      Hi Crafty Mom, I know it has been 4 years and you must have resolved this issue. Yes, you can write only letters/words and you must not necessarily have sew write though I recommend sew write because of it numerous fonts and functionality. You can use the ttf fonts in the software though most do not stitch out nicely. Purchasing, downloading and installing ttf fonts are way to go. You can add these fonts in SWP after the mentioned 3 previous processes by clicking on user fonts, select the font and add it, then go to font and size, check for the font or simply type the first letter of the font to make it quicker, choose it, write words to check if the font shows the words as it should be and if it comes out ok, then voila you nailed it.
      Hope you have been having fun with your SWP. Cheers.

    • @smithknk1
      @smithknk1 9 лет назад

      +cutflower you can import TTF from your Word program (or download from free font websites - there are TONS out there!) when you select the font you want to use, it looks at the fonts you have installed on your computer and allows you to use them! So excited to get started...so many ideas in my head!
