morghe sahar means "the early morning bird". Metaphorically it means a new life, a new beginning... Shajarian is the best Persian singer. There will sadly never be someone like him...As I say this tears are running my cheek....
از انقلاب مشروطه تا به امروز ،تنها یک نفر ،ابر مرد میدان بود.خسته نباشی استاد،زنده باد که زنده یاد بزرگانی چون ، بهار، خیّام ، و ... از همه مهمتر به مردم خود فرهنگ ملّی دادی.
So beautiful! Morteza (in my family was known as Baba Morteza) was such an inspiration to me 1. Because he is such an amazing composer 2. Because he is my great grandfather and I loved him so much RIP Baba Morteza
Thanks for sharing this great music. Long live maestro Shajarian and Iranian freedom music. Freedom and democracy for Iranian people. May the songs of Shajarian bring back freedom to Iran from the hands of tyrany and Satanic regime of Ayatollahs
Written and sung in such a different era... Yet so damn appropriate today!!! Sorry for the non-Farsi speakers. You are missing much! And no, one can not translate this bit of poetry into any other language without mangling it.
i know that this song talks about some bird (more or less), but can anyone translate what morghe sahar means? i love Shajarian although i dont understand a word of what he sings.Thanx!
The Islamic Revolution does much to repress many artistic ventures such as this. Artists are left in a very fragile state and the proliferation of music and art, be it traditional or modern, is discouraged by the state. If anything, the strain put on the people by the state has been an impetus for artistic outlet and unfortunately drug use as well. I hope you don't overlook the meaningful artists in Iran who have suffered, died, and/or fallen into addiction precisely due to this repression.
truly the best performance of the great classic song. by the one and only Ostaad Shajarian at his best.

And what are you Islamists, "QodsForce"? At least the Iran IS the nation, Islam is the foreign element!
