Honestly, the 5-nights-at-freddys demoman is my favorite loadout in the game. My favorite map to do it is on lakeside inside the big healthpack room. Back in the quickplay era, me and my friend would go on opposite teams and defend that room from everyone on the map, and it was so much fun.
It's also a really appropriate time since it's Fnaf's 10th anniversary! A bunch of new fan-made games made with Scott's seal of approval are coming out this month. New Popgoes, Joy of creation, Five nights at Candy's, a few others, (and my favorite) a kart game.
5:18 that actually sounds like a hilarious gimmick to Nerf a weapon with. imagine if the eviction notice didn't drain health, but heavy held them directly in front of his face blocking most of the screen
Reminds me of an older Muselk video (the Rocket Jumping Scout video) where he played Item Randomizer and, at the end, he gets the Fists of Steel or KGB as Spy or something and it covers something 80% of the screen.
That may be patched right now, but the new steel-like map from this summer update has a blue's spawndoor on point A with this feature, pretty funny to kill people on setuptime
I've done this on 2fort. The dropdown into the main entrance hall has a grated platform. Placing stickies there will make it very hard to push through.
During the bot wars I went and got my hands on a strange stickybomb launcher. Started going into games on 2fort and occasionally doublecross and setting up shop in dropdown or behind spawn in courtyard or whatever you call that area in dc. If you do things right you can start getting the bots to walk in in waves of 4-5 at a time after a couple minutes, tho you gotta be careful where you stand.(crouching helps to not get shot) Over about a year and a half I racked up around 6k bot kills. I only ever used this launcher for bots, if I got into a game with real people I swapped over to a different launcher purely so I could track bot kills. I learned of this mechanic some 10 years ago or so by accident
Your pronunciation of Cachoeira was actually pretty good. The "cho" is the only part that stands out, it's pronounced like the "shu" in shut but with an "O" instead of "U". Informally you can also say Cachueira with the "chu" sounding like the "chu" in chute.
This will be incredibly valuable information to know on the TF2Maps servers; over there we basically only play maps that are under active development, and silly edge cases like this one tend to pop up a lot more often :)
I remember seeing this a while ago in a SoundSmith video using the grates on 2Fort against some bots, so this is actually one of the most useful tech since so many people run past there. I would say I'm not surprised but it does exist in so few places it's not too surprising.
I saw this mechanic used plenty of times on 2fort during the height of the bot wars. Demo watched the front entrance with the grate bombs (supported by a dispenser from an engie), and an engie watched the courtyard with a lvl 3 sentry.
There is one in steel. Competitive refers to the area as wishbone. It's the in the area that connects B to C and E. Toward the back where the entrance to C is, there are metal grates below. Below the metal grates is an area where there is a large health pack. This area is known as hell and you can lob stickies on the grate above and kill people that are walking through wishbone to C
23:12 Better idea, early game just build a sentry nest down there, or perhaps just jump the demo with a spy, since they are usually paying attention to things above them instead of around them, and they can't blow up things that are invisible.
People do in fact do this, though not with grates It's a popular tactic on Dustbowl, since most of the points have traffic cones on each corner, and stickies fully fit inside them Though I do think those get blown away by explosions, but it's still a funny way to catch the enemy team off guard
I'm like 80% sure there was a time where that grate under the spawn in Upward wasn't blocked off, so you could actually do this strat there and I recall trying it once and being very proud of myself for coming up with it.
