I actually think that going 3 attack speed and 1 damage is better than 2 and 2 because it's only 1 less DPS than our theoritical tower and the extra attack speed allows for it to well... Hit enemies faster, and also get more hits in as well as waste less DPS. Of course with scaling eventually 2 and 2 would be better in some cases. But for the majority i suggest 3 speed 1 damage. Also overkill is why targeting is important as well. Putting those slow towers on strong helps so much with preventing your towers from dealing 50 trillion damage to a 1000 health enemy. Oh yeah and going all speed isn't half bad cause you're wasting way less damage. This is why i think 3 speed and 1 damage is the best of both worlds.

The higher the base damage the better it scales with boost cause how each boost multiples damage when you stack boost they multiply the damage on the tower so for me all in damage or if a tower has boost ALWAYS boost

You do 1/1 5 times to get streak to 4. Youll recieve double rewards.. take that boost over to The Maze for 800 gems +extra skullshots to sell (500 more gems) +40 skulls

You probably want to go for Angel, bone collector, boom bear, skullshot, demon mage. It’s a good starting lineup and easily upgradable. Throw in a mask for low money stages.
I think it depends on your current team and if your happy with its range. Anywhere from 2 sp/2dmg to 1/1/1 +1.. I don’t have nightmare on my shiny variant so I can’t say for sure but I’d lean more towards the second because I think it’s range is lacking.

The reason why 4 damage is better is because towers like demon mage boost the base damage + the other % added by the tower level
I did the math for it both ways and it’s the same. The buffs get applied and then the soul orbs get applied afterwards.
