Mischevious(in english) means:Someone or something causing trouble to someone in a playful way. So that would mean, Mischevious light is basically a troublemaker, hence the chaotic modifier it offers. So Mischevious light is just a prankster that wants to play with theplayer

My headcanon is that Mischevious Light isn't really evil or at least has any master plan. He just does things because he's chaotic as hell and just likes screwing with people's heads for the sake of making them suffer one way or another.

I like to imagine that seek embodies the mischievous light as it is red, seek also emits a red light when he is chasing you, and since it is revealed that seek is all-powerful in the mines update (he killed the queen grumble just bc he wanted to) it would make sense that the mischievous light is seek’s conscience trying to make you give up after you die.
i think mischievous is helping seek, not that it is seek it self
Mischievous light is a cannon thing. Though we don’t know its name. Appearance. Or capabilities. Mischievous light would be one of the three higher beings/lights. Guiding light, curious light, and michevious light, thus I’d say mischievous light is probably in kahoots with seek and figure.

my theory, mischievous light is like the opposite of guiding light, so basically. Guiding light shows you the correct way to go, mischievous light, would show you the wrong way.

@@muhammadakifzikri5668 it's just.. well, curious, and probably doesn't know a few things about the entities (just like how it doesn't tell you advice when you die or simply says something like "you've encountered an entity similar to this one, so you know how to deal with it", like when you die to that shadow figure in the backdoors) basically, curious light just exists and will continue existing until the devs give them a bigger role

I think how mischievous light would work is that sometimes when an entity spawns it modifies them and if you did to the modified entity you get its death screen.
Imagine losing at door 100 while trying to do hotel hell and this mf shows up

Ok, theory time, we know that there are 3 lights, guiding light, curious light, and rhis one, dubbed by the community as mischevious light, all the lights have an incarnation that directly shares its power, guiding light has the rift, the crucifix, the candle, and the guiding particles, curious light has the curious vial, the curious potion, and the curious vat, my theoey is that the incarnation of mischevious light is seek, think about it, seek does have a red glow around hijpm when hes in a human form, what if seeks true form is the immensely powerful dam seek, but when hes in his human form hes harnessing the inteligence and speed of mischevious light?

4 anyone wondering. It’s cannon. However also we don’t know its name or its powers. In fact we only have 2 pieces of information. 1 a painting that shows guiding and curious light. And a dark red light in the midst of them. And also when using the crucifix on figure and seek guiding light fails at kill in them and they turn red. Maybe mischievous light is behind this? Other then that I hope we get it in castle 👁️👄👁️

Here’s my theory:
(I will call them by gender btw even if it’s not confirmed, so get mad at me)
I think mischievous light is probably the main villain of doors cuz I think they are the one that created the entities, let me explain why. So if they created the modifiers, and they also created the entities. Then I think those two things they created are connected, because literally most of the modifiers are about entities, and it wouldn’t make sense why mischievous light would make modifiers without knowing what to make as modifiers, so they created the entities for that purpose. But this doesn’t explain why we have ones that are helpful modifiers, why would a light who’s trying to stop us helping us? Well this is where it gets more interesting, see because guiding light in all the floors, she tries to help us get out of the hotel because of mischievous light. And we know that her purpose in the game is to help you understand the entities and help you escape even if it leaved you down to the mines. Now go back to where I mentioned about helpful modifiers, who’s the one that helps in the hotel and mines? Guiding light, I think guiding light was the one who made those helpful modifiers so it’s easier for us to escape the hotel while mischievous light is trying to make it harder for us to escape, sometimes even almost impossible.
