This was an awesome video. I live in Oxnard,Ca roughly about 30 minute minutes to Santa Paula. I’ve hiked punch bowls numerous times and never saw the water that deep especially during the summer. I’ve only made it to the first waterfall, but always heard about the other 2 waterfalls going up the trail. Now after seeing your video I will go in the coming weeks and make it my mission to see the other 2. Beautiful video by the way.

Thank you, keep an eye on the road closures. Start hiking very early so when you make it to the second waterfall-rock pool the sun is hitting the water about noon. Let me know how it goes 🥾🥾

The road is blocked because of a very large landslide between Ojai and Santa Paula. But they’re working on it and soon you’ll be able to get their from either direction. But find out first, because you’ll end up spending a lot of time if you have to turn around and go back. In my younger years I’ve hiked the trails behind Ojai, Santa Paula, Fillmore, Piru… but never the punch bowls. But my grandkids love it. So… teenage approved 😁

In about 3 miles in stick to the creek if you follow all trails it will take you uphill to Big Cone camp, once you get to the first waterfall from there go back to the trail and hike up hill after you get to Cross Camp stay on trail for a 10th of a mile and follow the creek to get to the punch bowl. Don’t go uphill on the left unless you want to go to Jackson and Jackson Falls which is additional 1.2 miles or so. Have fun, be safe!!

I'm sorry to see this repeated over-exposure of this trail. It is overhiked, overcrowded, overused and quite abused. People now come from all over the state to the punch bowls because of these videos turning the trail into content for personal utube income. The last time I, a local, went, I took a baby diaper out of the creek, and seemed to do nothing but gather trash. Local citizens have repeatedly gone up to sandblast off the graffitti, but it just reappears. Please Don't Come.
