11-Week-Old Panda Cub Takes First Steps

- An 11-week-old panda cub is is learning to walk this week at his vet exam at the San Diego Zoo.
The panda cub gets put on the floor by his caretakers and tries to crawl forward on all fours.
Just when he looks like he will start walking, his back legs give out and he rolls onto his side.
[P.K. Robbins, Senior Vet at San Diego Zoo]:
"I would say he's making progress. He's kind of at that awkward toddler stage where some limbs are working better than others. Certainly the front legs want to get up and go but the back legs sort of got a little bit left behind. But he's definitely learning, he's getting those skill sets that he needs and he's a pretty active little dude."
The panda cub squeaks and rolls around the floor in his attempts to be mobile.
He is expected to be able to walk on all four legs in just a few weeks.
It will still be at least a few more months before he is able enough to venture into the panda exhibit.
Only 1,600 giant pandas are believed to exist in the wild, and the species is primarily threatened by habitat loss.
San Diego Zoo Global, in conjunction with Chinese panda experts, continue to work on science-based panda conservation programs.

Yes of course these pandas are beautiful and adorable. And these pandas can be find only in Tibet!! They belong to Tibet not China. And the cause of these pandas being nearly to extinct is China. Due to Chinese massive destructions in Tibet since 1949 not only the pandas but all the natural resources of Tibet is nearly to extinct.
So to save and preserve these kind of beautiful natural resources, don't just save the ones that are in your zoos or wildlife centers. Save Tibet and not only pandas but many other even more beautiful and precious lives will be saved. So please world, SAVE TIBET, SAVE MY COUNTRY AND PEOPLE, SAVE THE WOLRD.
Nah man, pretty sure Tibet is part of China so no sense in saying it is found in Tibet. And I am pretty sure your comment is taking a poke at China for not allowing Tibet to separate. Just because the modern western world is frowning on wars doesn't mean that people can start claiming independence and taking territories from established countries thinking that the west will protect them. You either earn it through war or buy it. If you can't do neither one then don't bother barking for independence. World's reliance on China is far to great now, no one is gonna risk world war for Tibet.

Seriously, if you really want to Judge Tibetan issue, go to read real Tibetan history, not the fake one that Chinese government made. Not only read the history but also research the real causes that had been happening in Tibet last 56 years. I know you honor your country like we do to our county. However, the fact is the fact that will never change, and the Chinese government cannot hide the actual matters of Tibet to the world.
