Camille Saint-Saens-Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso for Violin and Orchestra, Transcribed for Solo Piano, Ultimate Challenge Episode 32
I heard this piece on the radio while driving and at the end of it I said to my self What a beautiful piece, I wish I can play it on the piano. I took a detour to the local library, got the score and that gave me the idea for my very first piano transcription. Yes, this was the first one.
Hope you enjoy it! I transcribed this one by sight in 2005

This is a very beatiful one! It is really delightful from lots of points of view. And soon the score is going to be published. Get ready folks!
This song will never escape my mind and it is one of the greatest gifts one could ask for
I agree. 🎉
this is so sick. I first heard this from Your Lie in April and I remembered it upon hearing it on my playlist. I listened to a more "standard" solo version before and I can tell you have polished this to a high degree, the touch, rubato, dynamics are all so awesome. thanks for this performance
Thank you for watching. Appreciate your kind words.
So beautiful, so wonderful to hear your transcription again, and I might add a spaticular performance. I could not keep my seat while listening I had to get up and dance. What a revitalizing way to wake up, to hear, and feel the energy of life coursing through my emotions, blood, and limbs. Thank you, my dear friend. And, no, not to worry, I am not going to take up ballet. Lol. I think.
I am in NY! Its going to be a great time here.
Beautifully transcribed PTX.
Thank you!
Back again, with a looping in mind. I have an hour's worth of computer-related boring business to accomplish, and your piece is marching me through it with passion and gusto.
wow didn't even notice that single high note at 8:11 wondered where it came from. so great you carried this though for solo piano! i loved it! 💟
Thank you very much! I thought I should simulate the violin gliss lol
This is such a beautiful transcription! So well done! Can’t wait to buy the score!
I'll send you the score personally.
this is my favorite song EVERRRR
I heard it on the radio and hoped to play it on piano when I was young. It was magical. Now it’s a small dream come true.
Piece…
Really good, but it definitely gives a different taste with the violin, and when the violin and piano play together (anime) it's even more😊 beautiful. 😊😊😊
You're right! When I heard it on the radio of all places, I loved it instantly and I found out there are flute and even Cello versions. And of course I had to transcribe it for piano.
Wow this was memorizing to watch!
Thank you.
Oh my. You make it ‘look’ easy!!! What!!!! You’re so amazing!
I am very glad. Most was not too challenging but there are parts of that are not easy. The polyrhythm in the middle section was very tricky
are you for real? This cannot be real!! Are you still giving out the score? This is incredible..I have loved this song for years!
It’s all Ai lol. Jk. I have the score and planning to publish soon.
Very underrated channel
The piece is very popular.
@@PianoturtleXyour channel I mean
@@burgerboi Thank you very much! I appreciate that.
Listening 2nd time through. I am having to sit down, and catch my breath. What a glorious workout. NOW Drinking a cup of hot volcano lemon juice with grated ginger, but compared to your on fire performance the drink is going down like an ice cold lemonade. Open the windows. The birds have to hear this and spread their wings in the morning sunlight of the new day. Harah!!!
Hey, absolutely fantastic, hopefully I'll have a performance video to show you soon!
Thank you. I may also do a video of the much easier version for you soon!
This is just phenomenal!!
Thank you so much!
Listening again. 3rd time and I AM CHARMED. I WANT TO BUY the DVD collection of all of your Transcriptions for Solo piano. WHERE, Can I purchase them??? Seriously!!!
Maybe someday
I feel the same. Have to keep coming back to listen to my little morsel of this yummy piece.
8:34
best part if u ask me
I agree that part is so good.
It’s also my favorite part lol
“Come on friend A! Don’t steal my thunder!”
huh?
@@PianoturtleX its a your lie in april reference
@@micahweber2331 oh gosh! I totally forgot. lol I loved that anime.
Hey , beautiful transcription , I wanted to ask , where can I find the scores O.o
I have my handwritten score. Currently exploring publishing options. Thanks for watching!
Bravo!!
Thank you!
Excellent work! This is one of my favorite pieces of all time, and while I prefer it as a violin/piano duet, you did well with just the piano. The tempo did lag at times, but that’s understandable since you’re cramming an extra instrument’s worth of notes in. All in all, excellent work!
I appreciate your comment very much. I am glad to say the tempo do not lag anymore as the time I recorded this, I was just getting it off the page.
If you are interested, check out my Rach 3 transcription. That one is slow but it is good to follow the score with. Again thanks for viewing and commenting.
oh. can i get sheets this beautiful transcription?
Still looking for publisher...sigh. some major publishers wont even look at it.
I have never left.
Me neither haha
This is so beautiful… I’ll learn and practice piano for this arrangement. Where may I buy the score?
Sorry for the very late response. I am finally have my own website build. I will be publishing all my current scores in May
Is that transcription available somewhere?
Yes I have a pdf but I have not published it yet.
@@PianoturtleX Is there any other way to get the scores? Potentially email? I am more than willing to pay.
@@AndreSmit0914 so as I explore publishing, it just seems like they want to rip me off. I have decided to self publish. I have a guy building me a simple website where you and others can purchase a pdf. But I plan to launch in Jan. How’s that sound?
@@PianoturtleX Awesome! Sounds great! Please do keep us updated.
After listen to this work, I really want to pratice it. How can I buy it??? Please...
email me. Thanks for watching!
I’m here bc of Yuzu SP 😀
What is Yuzu SP?

@@Raven-uhmm thanks. I should look it up.
You have the sheet music for this???? At least for the intro
I have the whole thing. Still looking into publishing options
@@PianoturtleX ok cool let me know when I can get it haha I really love your version it’s the best one out there I can only find simplified ones 😭😭
@@xKingBoo Thanks for saying that. I will let you know for sure
Hi there… I have been wanting to learn this piece for years and I have the flute arrangement, but I can’t play flute anymore, I have the Debussy arrangement for four hands (but no second pianist), and the score that I DO have for solo piano is hard to read and is confusing, is your arrangement for sale or can I download it? Thank you!!!
Im looking forward to publishing several of the transcriptions this year. I will let everyone know when i do soon.
wow
Thanks for watching
Brilliant performance and transcription! 👏
Is the sheet music for your arrangement available? 👀
@@pezzelaj Thank you! It will be available soon.
Again 👱🏻♀️🎻
better version coming soon
I was looking for a good solo transcription for this piece, and it looks like I found one more than great! Most of the transcriptions i feel are too dulled down and simple, but this one has some serious skill and pizzazz put into it! Is there a score available somewhere? I saw that one comment talking about it being published soon, but that was a month ago.
@@PianoturtleX So it is all good to send an email right now? This is an all-time favorite piece to me!
@@haldenscript1210 Thanks for visiting my channel. I actually started revising the notes. found some errors and I thought of better arrangement ideas. Would you mind waiting a bit? My copyist just returned from military service. I am currently traveling. Soon I will publish these works. Thanks.
Can I learn this as an absolute beginner with barely any prior experience with piano with enough time and effort? Genuinely asking, this seems hella hard but I must learn this one way or another
- of course, not exactly this, rarher by kinda simplying it myself
Or does anyone know an easier version for now perhaps?
This is a more advanced transcription. Some spots can a challenge for even seasoned pianists. I can assist with online session. And yes there are easier versions. I have seen them on RUclips.
@@PianoturtleX okay, much appreciated! Also, needless to say, this is a heavenly cover to say the less
@@ghost77vl Appreciate you saying that! This is very first one I had done. It led to many others but this is the one that started this whole journey of transcriptions.
@@PianoturtleX thats actually amazing, honestly. How long have you been playing the piano for?

Where can i get the music sheet?
@@dalvinpich1249 I have someone working on a website for me. So hopefully soon.
Oh man, my dad was a violinist and this was his favorite piece of all! Can I buy the score?
@@alexandresantoro6246 the website is near complete but it will need to be tested. I will let you know soon. Thanks for watching
Play the part of violin on piano, don't easyyyy... my hand
what part?
9:24 - end. The violin smaller than piano, for the violinist, they just need to use their left hand and moving on 4 strings, it's short and easy to run at large intervals. if not liszt, this is not easy. and it's easier to make the notes sound evenly and quickly. for pianist, finger pressure for notes to sound evenly when playing fast is a big challenge...
@@jojomusic937 Thanks for the reply. You know what, You are right! It does take some practice.
Why do you call yourself "Turtle"? You're clearly faster than that.
@@quillion3rdoption I practice slow. Very slow. Then I jet just like my pet turtles when it’s feeding time. Lol
