Girl I’m not worried about this at all😂😂😂 Once birds start snatching those orders then what?
😂
😂❤
I just texted the same thing.... see, we know what's up!
😂😂😂
😂
The drones can have ALL the no tip orders. We’re trying to make money out here!!!
Truth! Let em take em. Chick fil A orders in my area are some of the lowest paying per mile bc there is only one per zone that I work.
Fancy how the No Tippers are getting drones, we’re getting no respect Sara 😡
Amazon pharmacy is using drones to deliver medicine in Texas. This is giving me terminator vibes.
That's scary for us doordash drivers!
You actually take those $3 orders?
I don't think we should be worried bc I don't think it's gonna stick the way they think it is. It's too slow, it gets knocked over easily, doesn't handle the weather well, and if the customer puts the wrong address in it can't be fixed bc they're dealing with a robot not a human so it's gonna go to the wrong house and they're always gonna have to go out and get the order and some ppl just want their food left at the door.
Let me know how that works out in the hood 😂😂😂
Good info BUT there are serious limitations to using drones and I highly doubt drivers will be replaced bc of it. First, 1.5 miles radius from Chik-Fil-A is not going to serve their majority customers... when was the last time you got a delivery request within 1.5miles??? So they still need drivers for anything over 1.5 miles which is the majority of orders. Secondly, it's only M to F from 10am to 6pm but no weekends so again they need drivers during these times and anything over 1.5 miles. Last but not least... weather.. when it rains it pours in FL so drones can't fly in this weather. So my conclusion.. I'm not worred.
Well said 🍺
They'll also be robbed quite easily.
@@thetapheonix maybe but im sure these drones hv built-in cameras so... is it worth it?
@@aznbourgeois Considering how little the law is respected or enforced in major cities I would say yeah it is most definitely worth it.
This will work for densely populated areas but will never work for a large Suburban or slightly rural areas
Why?
@@JeffThomasBlackThe drones eat battery power and have a very limited range.
its sick these greedy companies will stop at nothing, just because you can doesn't mean you should
I work for the post office, in a major city (Denver), and we've been hearing for eight years that drones will deliver parcels for us. Haven't seen one drone yet.
When one of those drones inevitably decapitates a two-year-old, that'll be the end of drone service.
Hi Sara. I am not worried about our jobs being taken by Drones. Amazon was going to try that but it never went anywhere. Those little wheeled robots may be ok for downtown areas but taking orders far out where there are no bike paths or bike lanes. I cannot imagine the chaos if there were alot of those robots on the roads. Might happen someday but not in the next several decades I think you will be a little old lady with Dashing days long behind you before they become common.
Thank God I'm in SC. We are always a decade behind 😅
They will straight up get shot down out of the sky in my city.
Drones can only go so far, when they start falling out of the sky they'll stop.
Having your order delivered by a drone is a very bad idea. It is particularly bad for those of us who are blind and have no vision because we will not know how to obtain our food from the drone. We also will not know if you need to unlock the drone with a pin because it may be a touchscreen that we cannot interact with if we have no vision. Also what about for those homes like mine we have to walk up some stairs onto a porch the drone won’t be able to hop up those stairs and nothing can replace a delivery driver. It is a personalised service when you can interact and greet your delivery driver and also, drones cannot accept tips so drones are a terrible idea and I don’t like the idea at all. I know dominoes are using drones for some food deliveries and I hope the whole drone idea disappears when they realise how ridiculous it is.
Drones are compliment not a replacement for traditional cars
Drones and robots doing food delivery are going to get robbed very easily, so I don't see them replacing people.
😂😅...wait until winter. This is a terrible idea
Amazon tried this delivery service years ago and they could not get FAA clearance to use the drone service. Way way too many liability factors to consider with lawsuits and serious insurance obligations.
Hey Lady , The Kroger brand food stores are delivering their own now , using larger trucks and using a helluva' lot more gas .
So glad this video got recommended to me, your channel is great! Subbed!
I would be happy for them to use the drone right now! I’m going to Chick-fil-A over here in this flooding in Fort Lauderdale taking forever to get there😂
I believe most municipalities have laws where motorized vehicles can not go down the sidewalk
The money that was used to put these drones outside on the streets, should have been better put to better used to poor hungry or homeless women and children shameful wasted money crazy crap. Thank Sarah.
I pay for Solo since March and I still don't know how to do the pay thing where if you dont make enough they'll pay you a certain amount.
That is like the big internet compines. They still need people like me to get the internet to that last few miles with a WISP system. So I see that will be the same with Gig Apps. To windy, in the rain, or to far to go with a drone. So we may have some orders replaced but not all.
Also UBER has self driving cars in some towns.
A partnership with former foe Waymo is helping Uber stay relevant in the self-driving space. Uber is teaming up with Waymo to offer rides in fully autonomous cars in Phoenix - launching a partnership that could be hugely beneficial to both companies.
Thee FCC & the FAA will have a great big hand in the control of how many will be in the air.
So I do not see food delivery gig apps getting replaced.
It's funny the customer will pay a higher fee for a drone or a robot that is only going to go a few miles and take even longr than to tip a driver a few extra bucks
I think that's weird lol 😂 they'll pay a higher fee but they can't tip more than 0 or 1$? You have to really not like ppl to pay more to have a robot deliver your food.
Yeah good with they food not being cold
No one is going to tip drones, which means they wont be tipping backup drivers either. 😬
I think they’ll just increase service fees
Wow we are now living like the Jetsons 😊
Basically 🤖
@@SaraElizabethYT things will get better soon, keep up the great work and keep the faith.
Shiddd, a bird is gonna eat that! Bet. It's gonna be a bird fight in the sky😂 I ain't worried about it😂
They won't be able to replace drivers completely anytime soon. The delivery drones and robots haven't made it to my area yet.
Not in major dense cities..... These wide open spacious suburban cities are more ideal
That's crazy......I don't know that they'll ever completely take over because there are a lot of places they can't fly drones per/FAA Guess we shall see.
So true Sara!
Those sidewalk robots are my direct competition. I hate them. Sending love from Los Angeles 💜💛
Good for them not like it's going to truly make a big difference being that rain and snow will limit it plus only no tippers are happy. Still gunna be unhappy and complain!
Lol, they will complain that they can’t report their order not delivered since the drone has a camera 😂
Now you know how us truck drivers feel with these new self driving tesla trucks
So what r they going to do when there are no dashers and bad weather maintenance problems keep the drones grounded. Just wait until some t e r o s decides to use a drone for bad purposes and then I bet FAA grounds all drones what are they going to do to get their food
Damn robots
Hey girl! Where you at ? 😊
I am up North I don't think the drones would make it up here. Winter with snow and freezing rain. Your drones news made it to Erie Pa local news.
I'm an faa certified drone pilot. Most of us do NOT believe this will take off like expected. The most could be wrong though.
I, for one, welcome our new robot overlords.
Exactly
Well that's nice. I hope you still honor them when your order is left out in the cold to rot when the rain makes the robot break down or someone else finds your food and eats it bc it may get delivered to the wrong house 😂
I don’t see a drone flying drinks nah never gonna take over just like those stupid little robots
I just saw on their Instagram that they package the drink as well. I wonder how that turns out though
@@SaraElizabethYT i can see the drinks being spilled all over the box I can imagine the box swinging around
@@menards23able They can use like 16oz bottles on the flights. Not a open lid cups.
@@MikePowlas that would not be feasible
@@menards23able Yes it will
Hi love your videos. I was deactivated by door dash a few years ago and my appeals get denied with no explanation why
We will be replaced
Count on it!
As long as drivers keep taking none tip orders, we will never get replaced. Does doordash still pay for the gas you use from restaurants to customers? They used to, it's not alot but I remember that about 3 years ago.
Well if they no longer pay for gas, pay $2, for crazy miles plus no tip. If new drivers take that. We are F...d. :)
WTF!!!!!!
I saw this in the news and I figured you'd make a video about it because it's right there in Brandon. BTW did you lose a lot of weight?
You're such a Prognosticator 🔮 🤣 I had to. I'm going to try to order via drone soon too. I stopped drinking soda because I have a bad kidney so yes I have, thanks for noticing.
@@SaraElizabethYT get well soon
Hahaha I loved the robots. Let's see them go up the mountains in the towns I deliver in. Do they stop for deer or bears. And would an animal knock it over.?
Drones might not be able to do all deliveries but in a few more years probably two or three years from now they'll be able to do most of them
I don't think so. Drones have a pretty low weight limit, and they can't deliver to apartment with cramped and enclosed hallways. It will never be mainstream, unless the drones are redesigned.
They're not waterproof, if the customer puts in the wrong address they can't fix it, and they'll have to come outside to get their order everytime. I know from experience that 90 percent of the time when ppl have been at work all day and they don't feel like getting out they put leave it at the door. So I don't think it's gonna work the way they hope it will. This is mainly just ppl who are non tippers hoping for it to work bc they can't get away with scamming drivers anymore.
Chick fil A has their own drivers here and over flow goes to DD.
Thank the no tip no trip people.
Doordash and uber eats are more of a starting point, use them to save your money and buy a bigger vehicle
Drone delivery. Leave at the door or catch it.?
Yeah but will a drone deliver the food to the customer's door or will they actually be coming out of their apartments for once 😂
Don't worry silly about my comments. (beer goggles)
Somebody gonna get paid flying those dronea or autonomous vehicles. So uber or doordash will have to pay. So no point. It's all for show.
Chick-fil-A has their own in store delivery drivers delivering foods to customer that order online or over the phone now.
If they tell you someone already picked up your order, maybe it is because they gave your order to there own delivery drivers to deliver.
I have seen those robots on streets making deliveries to customers.
It might be time to think about backup 2nd job, I notice the orders are not as lucrative as before and frequent and slower.
It might have something to do with the drones and robot on streets making deliveries.
Wow
I'm In Tampa Clearwater mostly is my area. I agree Sarah, Our side hustle needs a Plan B. I sent you an email.
Hey Sara my in laws live in Brandon. My wife and I will be there for Thanksgiving. I'll be dashing in Brandon and recording a video on Friday. We should meet up for a few minutes and say hi.
Solo guaranteed pay is a Scam
I've been hearing bad things about it off and on. More bad than good so I've been sticking to gridwise.
Great an then in 10 to 20 years we will have Terminator robots taking over.
It’s over 😢. Time to transition into another gig or something like that lol
You look pretty in the wind. Your eyes are beautiful. And I like your flannel. Love, Dennis in Anchorage.
Time to get some Real Skills and get a REAL job sister😂
Who cares DD in my zone is dead anyway, the pay is horrible people don’t tip etc.
See I can see drones under a Christmas tree people will basically knock them out of the sky wrap them up, give them as gifts to their children and, poor people will take them and sale them on ebay for money, there are a lot of families going with out food , and sale them to the highest bider , or take them to a pond store for money. GIG worker should be fine spite of this development exceptional show gig worker just lol😂 your safe.
I mean we knew this was coming
Proving my point everyday about drivers in the gig economy. No way would I give up a career gambling to be a delivery driver. Gigtubers are paid and not worried. Runners are shaking in their boots. Better get a trade or something.
All the robot bs aside sarah lookin right today.. 🤷🏾
Drones don't whine about tips.
We wouldn’t if they provided us with a vehicle. That’s like being a w2 employee without the benefits while we can’t have the best of both worlds we shouldn’t have the worst of both worlds. As an independent contractor no one it’s entitled to my personal time
We're allowed to take whatever orders we want though. If we don't wanna do no tip orders we don't have to.
Gigapps aren’t jobs.
Jobs pay money. If they aren't jobs then what are they?
@@SaraElizabethYTfraudulent independent contracts.
How is delivering food fraudulent??
@@SaraElizabethYT giapps are fraud.
If you believe that gig apps are not real jobs, then you may need to reconsider and educate yourself on the matter.
So the Karen don't wanna deliver in the rain smh maybe it's time for the baby to get a real job lol why there doing this to replace little winny drivers like you oh my you might have get real job where you can't sit in a car all day lol
When someone gets into a car accident due to rain they tend to avoid driving in it when they can. How does that make me a Karen?
Ha ha paleeeez KAREN is a beautiful girls name:NOTHING more.
