Jesus all the people commenting about starting in the middle - that’s for 32 marble solitaire. This is 36 marbles so forget the centre. This is the best solution I’ve found thanks
Michael, you're right as far as I know. There are several ways to solve the 32-marble game starting with the empty slot in the middle and ending with one marble in the middle; but so far, I haven't seen anyone solve the 36-marble game with one marble in the middle.
I agree some of these videos do not start in the middle and none finish with the marble in the middle, do people fully understand this game how it is supposed to be played?
Thanks Paul. If you're watching a video for 32-marble solitaire, you'll see it's fairly easy to end with one marble in the middle. But the Iowa Solitaire Solution is for 36 marbles, and I haven't figured out how to end the 36-marble game with one in the middle. If you see one on RUclips, I'd love to know about it.
@@marilynnjerrywadden2533 I have been trying during the lock down literally for hours and hours I could do it as I think a 13 year old kid (63 now) . All I can remember is finishing with a 6 peg cross at the end which will give you one in the middle. I will figure it out and post to you.
Ummmm you cheated because you removed one marble that was not jump able and it was by itself. I tired to use your method and realized you pulled a marble near the end all by itself.

Yes, because it is mathmatically impossible for 36 game.

Big marbles are best. // How do the rules differ from the "Swiss flag" Bovita board rules?
I have been told that the 36 marble game cannot be solved if you start in the middle. The 32 marble game you can start in the middle.
Please start middle open
The last one should be in the middle friendly advice

@@pg402 If you can figure out how to end the 36-marble game with a marble in the middle, I'd say you've done a good thing with your lockdown time!

You have to leave the middle peg open. That game is about not eliminating all marbles but ending with one marble in the middle slot.

Cheaters. The first empty slot should be in the very center of the board. Try that!
