Mchale just refuses to allow jeremy lin to take over. Lin, the 3rd most talented player on the team is not even the 5th option on offense. Mchale should be making an effort to get Lin in the offensive flow instead of burying this talent in the corner never to get a touch. Lin should also be allowed to play point guard because he is a top shelf playmaker and the only floor general on the team. Another example of mchale cutting his nose off to spite his face. Mchale is either dumb or petty, either way he should not be coaching.
If only harden can play unselfish basketball, then the rockets can win twice in portland. It seems that in the first two games, harden just want to show everybody that he should be in the mvp race. But this is the play offs man. If you want to have decent shots, you need to pass the ball first. If you really want the rockets win this series, then play as a team player. Other than jeremy lin, the rockets just played more iso in the last two quarters. No team can win basketball that way. Plus. Mchale must discovered by now that in this series, jones must come off the bench. I have seen asik defended aldridge well. Jones is too short for him. Aldridge will not drive most of the time. His a giant shooter. You must put a man as tall as he is in front of his face. Yeah. Howard should stay at 5 because he can block and create massive space for rebounds. If harden is struggling with his shots and playmaking instinct then sit him on the bench. He will just give the rockets 4 losses easily. Let jeremy play at 2 because his a better defender than harden. Playoffs is a matter of match ups and strategies. Defense is the key. Why keep harden in the game if he is not making his shots, not involving his team mates, and most of all, do not want to defend at all?
Yeaah i agree with the comments. Blazers are easy to beat because they are only focused on their two star players. The rockets should have won the last two games. They can sweep portland. I dont know if mchail was in the panic mode during playoffs. Clearly portland is the underdog in this series but the rockets are blowing their huge advantage. And its all because of their coach. In game 2, i never seen any pick n roll. All i see was iso ball. And how come only 8 rockets played in both games. That is very exhausting. You look at portland. Their playing 10 players. Freeland will substitute for aldridge. And you know what is he going to do? He is not there to score. He is there to foul howard. He will do it over and over until aldrige have his rest. The problem with the rockets is, harden will need to play almost the entire game. And as a result, he will not give effort to defend to conserve his energy because his coach told him that his going to play the entire game. Why not try this line up? Howard, asik, parsons, harden, beverley. If harden can not facilitate the offense well, then insert lin. He is a better defender than harden. The rockets only need two primary scoring options. That will be parsons and howard. Harden needs to facilitate first. That is what the rockets starters are lacking. No one is facilitating. And as a result, more iso plays. If harden can cintribute at least 8 assists a game, then they have their best chance of winning. And the defense on harden will be confused and will lead to more scores fof harden. Man... you are the star of this team. You should lead them to victory. Stop thinking of increasing your score. The mvp race is over. Its time to help your team. If scoring is not there, dont force it. Try other things to contribute. Rebounds, assists, defensive stops. How many times we saw jeremy lin draws the charge? Thats the true leader. But lucky for you your coach gives you more minutes over lin. So give your best shot. And for mchail... please use your pieces properly. Not all coaches are given these kind of talents. Then im sure portland will panic in game 4 since game 5 will go back to houston.
Agreed! The Rox have many talents -- if you include Lin, PB and T. Daniels. The problem, the cancer is the Coach and his coaching staff. Too much credits to PB and not enough to Lin. Lin should be playing more minutes than PB - Not less. And why PB have to start the game all the time? They can certainly take turns. Who got the bigger contract here? Who've scored the most in a game and in the 4th Q ? Why is Lin the Only top player on the team to be on a short leash? PB had some good games and all of sudden he is a "defensive stopper." He is good but I don't think he is better than Lin. It takes a "good" coach to bring out talents in good players. McHale is not a good coach.

I think Troy Daniels should substitute Harden. JLIN shouldn't be a combo guard cause he's subbing for bev and harden sometimes. But Troy Daniels played a good game in the last reg season game. He has potential.

we can all at least take solace in the likely fact that mcfail has coached himself out of a job. due to being stubborn, petty, hateful, being a slave to the bearded ball hog and sabotaging Lin, it is possible that mcfail never coaches again in the nba.
