For the Golf Swing Analyzer cameras I contacted The Imaging Source directly who actually manufactures the cameras that are shown in the video. They are very easy to setup as they will provide you with the proper length cables that you will need and they are basically plug and play with the Foresight Sports FSX 2020 Golf Simulator software. After connecting the cables I simply launched FSX 2020 and selected each camera, changed the settings to my liking as I show in the video and I was ready to go. Keep in mind flicker free lights are important. The NEEWER LED panels that I use can be found here: www.amazon.com/dp/B072Q42GXQ
I think that there is going to be a ton of demand for a simple solution like this now that the Bushnell Launch Pro and Foresight Sports GC3 are hitting the market using FSX simulation software. Overall I think this golf swing analyzer setup is a huge value to all of those using Foresight Sports FSX 2020. You can get a quality video review of golf swings right inside of the software you are already using for your ball and club data. If you are using a Foresight Sports GCQUAD, GCHawk, GC2, or looking at the upcoming Bushnell Launch Pro this will be a perfect fit.

In this video I am using my Foresight Sports GCQuad Launch Monitor, here is some more information regarding that unit. The Foresight Sports GCQuad is a portable golf launch monitor that is high-speed camera and infrared based. The Quadrascopic technology takes detailed pictures of the ball and club still while still allowing the the unit to be placed almost two feet across from the ball on the ground. This advanced camera technology allows the Foresight GCQuad to be a simple setup in most environments from outdoor driving ranges to smaller indoor simulator rooms.
WHAT DATA THE GCQUAD MEASURES:
Ball speed
Horizontal & vertical launch angles
Spin
Side spin
Carry distance
* Club head speed
* Smash factor
* Angle of attack
* Club path
* Loft at impact
* Lie & face angle at impact
* Impact location on the club face

So in Theory could you take that Camera and mount it overhead and point it at impact and have a very similar view as the EyeXO presents? This in theory would give the non HMT GC2 crowd a better idea of impact.
@@christurnbull8484 Sure, you can do that with any camera. Maybe I will do that as a video so people can see the potential. Thanks for watching and commenting, Chris.
I’d love to see a video of the pros and cons of a projector low and to the side or maybe just a revue of this set up. I see it’s one of the options that foresight has in their sim in a box
Thanks, Jay! I literally just bought these and set them up about 5 days ago. Still working on getting them dialed in, but I loved the video!
Hi BJ, Great to hear. Hopefully the video helps you get them dialed. Thanks for watching!
Definitely would love your insight on what I should do with my setup once I get my Bushnell Launch Pto in next week.
What a small world. I knew you looked familiar and recognized the last name from another video. I live in Fenton, purchased my vehicle from you a few years ago.
I have a gqQ sim setup at my house and our outdoor season is just about over. I want to add a couple swing cameras and yours look great. I’m your video you said to shout you an email before ordering through them but I don’t see your email. No worries if there isn’t a promo code , either way I’ll tell them I saw their product in your video. Keep up the good videos !

Is there anyway to do a automatic play back either on the main screen or a separate monitor?
Will eventually be looking for cameras for EYE XO.
Thanks for watching, David!
Jay, thanks for this video and the others as they are very informative. I have been looking for an easy way to set up cameras. I have several prior model iPhones. Do you know if there is a way to integrate their cameras into a setup?
iPhones are really bad in low light. You can't get the FPS and shutter speed you need. Outdoor they work well. But, with FSX you need drivers. These are the best opportunity for quality I have found. Appreciate you watching!
GREET,
Let me ask, I have 2 DFK 33UX273 cameras installed to use. Please let me know how to review each video after each golf shot recorded on both cameras. tks !
I don't see a link to the cameras. Could you provide a link please?
great video I'm setting up a golf sim. I have a 16x14 shed built for me and I already have the gc3. looking to buy the Sony senor like the one from the video. I want to run all the wires behind the walls what do you think.
Sure that can be done. Shoot me an email and I can get you all the information, etc. a98cr125@gmail.com
Is there a distributor for these in the uk? Thanks
Great information and finished my build based upon your videos. Carl's Place custom enclosure (10' x 9') running a 4x3 configuration due to space limitations. BenQ936ST, Bushnell Launch Pro with FSX Gold Package, and Imaging Source POE cameras you recommended in this video. Running a gaming rig I built myselft with a an ASUS RX3080 GPU, 4.9 GHZ Intel processor and 32GB DDRR RAM and SSD HDs.
Question: Did you end up doing any follow up videos associating to dialing in the cameras? I am getting ready to install the cameras now and just wondering.
Unfortunately, no. Just because Foresight is not longer officially supporting them and selling their own. The key is tons of light and lower the exposure for best shutter speed.
Is there an option to have a 3rd camera for club impact? Would love the ability to actually see where the ball was struck on the club head. But I would image that would be up in the 500+ FPS.
No just the 2 for swing.
I just bought these cameras and set them up in my studio today when I connect to FSX and go in settings the camera is recognised in the swing cam section but doesn’t give an image preview, Amy ideas what this could be do I need to download a driver to make it work??
got the same problem, did you find a fix for it?
Does it work with Mevo+ too? If not, any recommendation? Thank you in advance.
No because this is using fsx 2020 foresight software. Email me for options. a98cr125@gmail.com
Hi jay. I have called and emailed the people at surfthing to get these cameras. Was wondering is there another way to get in touch with them. It’s going on 2 weeks now. Thanks
Would the people at the Imaging Source be able to help with a camera system for the Eye XO if you have a DLP projector and want to avoid the "flicker" you can get with some high speed cameras (like the Swing Optix)?
No, EYE XO only works with windows recognized webcams or Swing Optix. I have informed uneekor that if they add the option to adjust the frame rate down to 120fps it would solve the flicker problem. They said they were looking into it.
@@GolfSimulatorVideos Great. Thanks. I emailed them earlier today and they told me there was no way of dialing back the FPS for Swing Optix. I guess my only option would be something like Kayeton 120FPS? I'm getting close to buying an Eye XO, but I want to research what will work best for the swing replay since the Swing Optix does not seem to be an option with my projector (which is a GTR1090HDR that works fantastic).
@@tomhowarth6697 that is correct.
Can you share the tripods you used? Anything special about mounting them to the tripod?

Do you know if these cameras will work with Swing Catalyst? Is your discounted pricing arrangement still available?
You can email me, happy to help. a98cr125@gmail.com
Are these cameras compatible with the EyeXO? Thanks.
No they are not. EYE XO / View works with any windows recognizable webcam or swing optix from Uneekor.
I would like to get cameras for the fsx pro. Please help me to get and set up these. Tia
Can you show me How to review fsx 2020 video analysis of every golf swing, tks you.
Do you have a camera you would recommend for uneekor qed, without spending 1500 on eye optix? Thanks!
Anything that works is going to be pretty basic since they lock the settings for webcams. I would just do a Logitech brio for basic feedback.
Thanks! They lock it to what 30 fps?
@@ericracine5733 yes fps is limited to default. This cam is mono but defaults to a higher fps. A good alternative. amzn.to/3p8xrlT
I also have the same cameras from Imaging Source and I can say that they are great to work with. They were very patient with all my questions and made sure that I was getting the right equipment for my set-up.
As you mention, lighting is key and with that in mind, would it be possible to hold a phone light meter app towards the light source so we can know just how bright your lighting is? Best and accurate numbers would be from holding the phone from the same spot that you're hitting from.
Thanks in advance
I actually have a lux meter so I would be more than happy to take a reading. When you have a very dark room like I do as far as wall color and ceiling color goes you really need to light up the subject. It's easier in my opinion if the entire room has a lot of ambient light but that's not ideal at all for screen brightness and quality. These cameras definitely pack a lot of punch for the money!
I will see if I can get that lux reading tonight and comment what it says. 👍
How much did the cameras in this video cost ??
Jay what’s the pricing on these cameras? And is there a next step up option that’ll give a better frame rate and clearer frames of the shaft and club head on the downswing? Sourcing cameras has been the biggest challenge for my setup. Very pricey from the video analysis software companies and the cheap options on Amazon etc aren’t very good either.
Hi Jess, Shoot me an email and I can get you all of the details. The company is offering a discount for my viewers. I will let them get a custom quote for you specific to your space. More light can get that shaft crisp. My environment is VERY dark, I like it for the nice bright screen but if I added some room light it can easily be much better. Keep in mind I just dialed this in within about 10 minutes I will tweak it more and do a follow up video.
Do you still have camera info? Thanks
Can you incorporate V1 BodiTrak into this set up?
No, totally different systems. This is utilizing the included swing software with FSX.
@@GolfSimulatorVideos thank you! Ground forces and therefore force plates are definitely the future. I’d be curious to know if Foresight are working to develop their own system.
@@arthurford829 Not sure, but it is easy to use systems like V1 and especially Swing Catalyst side by side. If you have not seen my swing catalyst video check it out. GCQuad actually activates the video and they have Force plate integration etc.
How do I purchase this camera? Thank you.
Shoot me an email. a98cr125@gmail.com
Not sure if this was mentioned but will these work with trackman tps?
No, this was specifically geared towards Foresight's software or stand alone. Trackman suggests IDS and another brand for their software.
