Mr. Shaikh, you sir, are a badass! Congratulations on your trek to the base camp, even though this is 4 years later i'm typing this. I am planning on following those footsteps at age 54 (i'm currently 51) when I have the time to do it. So far, i've done 3 solo climbs in 5 days (a goal from a previous failed attempt) on 3 different mountains.
Returned back home to Karachi after a successful trek to Jilliper peak of Nanga Parbat range. As planned, it took us 4 days from Raikot Bridge to JP through difficult terrains. Alhamdulillah, we made it up and back safely. Complete video will be will be posted soon.

Don't give up or let it be your last trip. Train well and go back there again.
Sir jee did you really trek up to the base camp? I did back in July 2016 and I trekked right up to the monument in remembrance of the gora high altitude trekker/hiker who lost his life while attempting Nanga parbat summit.
Trip postponed due heavy landslides due to rain in the area and melting glaciers overflowing rivers. Don't want to take on Mother Nature. Will now go on Tuesday, 15th. August. Weather forecast is good for that week.
Zulfiqar Ansari . Yes. Going to Islamabad tomorrow morning and then to Raikot Bridge on Wednesday 16 August early morning InShaaAllah. Plan is to summit Jilliper peak on Saturday morning.

Question: I was wondering, if I could reach the base camp with my Jeep, it is a full equipped one. Maybe helping also to bring some equipment for the people living at the base camp, like food, medicines, clothes, etc etc.
Francesco Graffigna . No, you can’t take a jeep to base camp. There’s not jeep track. Only hike. You can drive from Islamabad to Raikot Bridge. It is 10 hour drive through Babusar Pass. Raikot Bridge is at elevation of 1230 meters. From there, you go up to Tattu village on a single lane jeep track made by the locals . It is a winding and dangerous track which only the local expert drivers can drive on. Tattu is elevation 2500 meters. From Tattu you have to trek for 4 hours to Fairy Meadows which is at 3300 meters. You can also ride on a mule to Fairy Meadows. This place has cottages and tents for rent. You can get a view of Nanga Parbat from Fairy Meadows. Next stop is Beyal Camp 3500 meters and is little over an hour trek. From Beyal to base camp is 5 hours trek and climb. Base camp is 3970 meters. If you see my videos, you can see the terrain and have an idea. I have done Base camp in May 2017 and Jilliper peak 5000 meters in August 2017. My aim is to attempt Buldar peak 5700 meters in July this year. Hope my information is helpful to you.
