    @nitecore so far I have 2 lights from you guys, and I have to say I'm extremely impressed! I would not consider myself a light geek or collector per say....I've used brands from Sureview to Pelican to Princeton Tec and Petzl. All great companies with lights for every niche out there, and honestly I'm very impressed thus far with your videos and how detailed they are. That's why I came here today for this video, lol rather than reading the instructions this video answered every question I had about my new light. I'm on the site right now considering getting an edc light or one of the keychain lights. I currently use a pelican light as my EDC, surefire for when I go shooting. I don't discriminate against lights from other companies but rather like to buy from everyone to get a feel as to where each one falls in terms of every day use. I can honestly say this bike light, is my new and will be my only light for riding at night until it stops working or you guys come out with an improved model which, well won't be for awhile =)
    Looking forward to more products from you and will definitely be a repeat customer.

    (Edit: to anyone else wishing Nitecore would update the BR35, check out the Fenix BC30 V2. I ended up going with it. Dual LED, wireless remote, and it runs off replaceable 18650's so you can carry extra. It's pretty much perfect for me.)
    This seems like a nice light and I love the idea of carrying spare batteries, but I don't want to be stuck with the low beam pattern when I'm in the woods. The BR35 badly needs an update. I would buy the 35 right now, but I'm afraid it will be updated a month after I purchase it.

    Shout out to the Nitecore focus groups for thinking of everything!
    I was specifically looking for a flashlight to be used as a bike light, thinking I’d need a bright tactical style light but they all seemed to spread out the bright beam, which I considered would blind others in opposing traffic.
    The BR25 has addressed that concern & even more which I haven’t even thought of, like it’s refractive roof design that also illuminates my location as I’m traveling so that others can see exactly where I am & how I’m traveling!
    Also, it’s mounting bracket allows for multiple mounting options for different scenarios is just another smart addition to the set.
    I’ve read other comments on how clear your description & opinions are & can honestly agree that they’re actually right. You sir, have sold me on the BR25 & mounting bracket & earned my sub! I look forward to seeing what else Nitecore comes up with.

    I wanted to order it 2 years ago but i quitted commuting on bike because it was uphill when i return home and i was tired anyway. Ive got a better bike from my brother and use it for fun and i used some light from competition ( i own a few Nitecores lights and charger too). To be fair, any decent light, even a thrower at 500 lumens pointed at 2 meters in ftont of the bike its good enough. Now ive got an awesome electtic bike as a gift from my brother, very expansive, and i ordered this one because its a pro bike light. Its perfect in fact for my needs. Its pretty hard to find one now, i ordered from Poland, me living in Romania.
    I think this one would be a perfect walking light also, better then any i own (and i own many!).

    MJ, you were spot on about bicycle lights blinding the pedestrians. Sometime ago when I was walking in a dark lane, I saw some bikes shining their the lights blinding me. One bike was using flashing lights which was worse. I really hope bikers will start buy this new torchlight from you. By the way, can I check if this torchlight helps in a dark room full of people like in a cinema? I had bad encounters when an usher point the torchlight to show the way for cinema goers.

    This video or this message needs to be spread far and wide, unlike your headlight. I think people think because the light is small it must not blind people. Great message man. Those super bright lights are great for some trails but even then, a cheaply made bright light can burn so hot in the center that objects close will hurt your eyes or literally burn you or burn itself and your $15 500,000 lumen super extreme epic power blast light will last 3 rides.

    I actually bought this acouple weeks ago because of this vid.
    The choice was br25 vs fenix bc30 v2.
    Extremely happy with this because of the cut off. I never noticed before but with other bike lights you're basically a flashlight rolling down the street blinding ppl so you have to tilt it super down if you want to be considerate.
    With this you can see your whole bike riding on the side walk with people walking around they can see your face and you're not annoying the shit out of people and still have your bike blasting 1400 lumens its great.
    The bad is if you want to mount it top side it does look like shit, but i have mine mounted under the bar. Mounting it like that looks super clean so if you think this looks crappy, then just run it bottom mount it looks great like that.

    That's a nice bike light and I would buy one except for those monstrous thumb screw protruding from the top of the light are a deal breaker. It would of been much better to incorporate the mounting bracket into the flash light, like most other bike flash lights do. If it is being sold as a bike light, then make it one. Don't try to turn it into a regular flashlight with that bad mount.

    This will also stop blow back. blow Back is when you are searching around reflective surfaces and your own beam reflects back into your eyes blinding you. If you keep the fistula at a lower level then this won't happen.

    Only issue with this light I have noticed is it ramps down very quick on the full power mode (1400 lumens). Which is kind of pointless stating those kind of lumens if the light can’t sustain them. Disappointed in that as I reckon your left with 600 lumens in the end 😟

    Unfortunately it doesn’t have an actual cut off beam pattern, this works but isn’t the best design as it doesn’t optimize proper light distribution

    • @NitecoreSG

      What do you mean by proper light distribution?

    • @viccao8431
      @viccao8431 2 года назад

      @@NitecoreSG it looks like this is a normal circular beam pattern that got the top cut off instead of a cut off beam reflector or projector lens that focuses the brightest spot at the very top of the cut off line in a wide way just like in cars. This allows the light to be angled at the proper height but also throw very far out. I couldn’t be wrong since I don’t have the light but it does just seem like a normal light pattern with a piece of material in front unlike some stzvo lights.

    • @NitecoreSG
      @NitecoreSG  2 года назад

      The whole point is to not blind on coming riders. The only way to do that is a physical blocker like this, having a circular light will still blind someone in the opposite direction

    I presently use a P30i nitecore and another brand 1800 watt twin led for riding home at night on bush bike tracks..both lights on!..(we have wild buffaloes),I have amazing visibility...especially as a long light...no blindspots!..this light is no doubt smart and lets face it..this guy could sell ice to the eskimos !..The review did not give a good look on distance when mounted on the bike on a black night! the emphasise being more on the hooded function(which is smart)...not having to turn lighting down to off when meeting walkers is a good option since I would tend to run light in full boost mode...mmmm one is tempted!..I did note that it does not have a breath function which I use for general daylight riding?..strobe is out there a bit for this function!..to buy or not to buy? Is there a need here or a want!....

    What I'm most annoyed by are the ebike peoples straight forward facing lights which are often blinding as fuck.. Unfortunately they are screwed on the frame respectively need some tools to adjust the beam downwards..
    I'm cycling all day with my enduro mtb trough the city and my frontlight is LedLenser's small keylight and everytime i put it on the Handlebar i'm adjusting so that its pointing downwards so light cone is about 50m in front of me, when im driving outside the city at the countryside, especially on offside mainroads on gravel roads I'm adjusting the cone to about 100m in front...
    Unfortunately often the 0815 commuting cyclists dont care about that they're blinding others...

    The Nitecore has this rediculous proprietary USB C battery with a charging port - yup... you need to remove the battery to charge it. WTF.
    The 1400lm mode is a gimmick. Realistically, you'll be using the 430lm mode. I wonder why the battery life is so short though (

  • @DA-jw6nm
    @DA-jw6nm 2 года назад +1

    The roof reflector is a gimmick. You are merely redirecting light that would otherwise project farther ahead giving the biker better range. The proof can be found by real life comparison of beam intensity vs distance with other comparable lights. Note ore makes great lighting products, why not bring something truly useful and unique with an adjustable optics bike light?
