Very glad to see someone give this one the attention It deserves. Bought It a few years ago long before start watching fragrances reviews, and never understood why nobody talks about It, what makes me totaly agree that It is completely underrated and, why not, a truly hidden gem. Thanks a lot for this and all other reviews and lists. Greetings from Brazil!
It is one of my most memorable perfumes. I'd always loved how different it smelled against every other typical male fragrance. I think some day I'll buy it again. I miss it.

Out of my 35 or so fragrances, this is in my top 3 all-time. I can't believe it doesn't get more hype, but I kinda like that because it feels a bit more unique. Absolutely LOVE this fragrance!
@Fakenews550 I wear it year-round, with the exception of the cold winter months. In cold weather you are better off with Gentleman Only Absolute or Gentleman Reserve Prive. At least that's my opinion.
I wore this in the fall when I was visiting upstate New York last year. I'll always associate it with crisp fall days and evenings. Such a slept on fragrance.
I own this cologne, the reason is not appreciated to much is because the name is not very catchy "gentleman only" doesn't sounds to sellable. But the juice inside the bottle is great, with a different name short and catchy will be a hit
Finally got a bottle of this and I'm liking the scent! Love the fresh warm woody smell, I kinda get a lingering cool "minty" feel in my nose upon a close sniff. On my skin it lasts quite a while for a fresh scent, though projection is rather weak. It feels easy to wear, definitely can't go wrong!
Love seeing the comments that agree this one is underrated AF! It's very pleasant and not so different that it would turn people off or be "challenging". And I wear it EXACTLY the way you describe it. When I want to wear a suit, but not a 3 piece or with a tie. Suit, no tie, semi formal. When I couldn't decide, this was/is exactly what I reach for. I really like Prada Carbon as well 👍This Gentlemen Only is my signature scent right now and yeah it gets no love but I'm not complaining cause no one else is wearing it!
@@VS-yk3gu I have both. Personally, I think Givenchy is more pleasant in the opening. Versace is a bit stronger, and I believe less is more with it in the first few hours. However, when Versace dries down (3 hours later) I think it’s a fantastic every day scent. Versace is more versatile and can give you a strong scent or a light pleasant scent depending on how much you spray. Givenchy is immediately sweeter and less powerful, therefore more safe and less offensive.
@@VS-yk3gu VPH is more casual and lighter. It is good for a weekend rotation . Gentleman only is a bit more incense based woody fragrance that is more comfortable I guess . Thanks

Just smelled Saturday. Went to buy Prada lhomme sales person asked me to spray on skin. It’s smelled great but I had my mind made up on the Prada. Went home and woke up and man that scent was banging. Returned the Prada and bought two bottles bc I read online it may get discontinued. Great scent
This has been one of my signature fragrances since 2014 shortly after it came out.... I ALWAYS have a bottle, and I get complimented constantly about how good I smell when I wear it... I honestly hope that men don't figure out how underrated this scent is because I never smell anyone else wearing it.. And I like that... Lol...but seriously... This fragrance is just so wonderful... It's classy, it's sexy, it's smooth, it's spicy, it's refreshing... To me when I smell it, I think "yeah... That's what an important man smells like"
@@rickimartin2884 use the g o absolute in the cold and this the rest of the year...unless out in extreme heat. But everyone should have a summer/beach frag anyway.
Just recently added this one to my collection.. ADORE THE SCENT. It really fits my taste.. And gives me a more mature scent for a 4 0 year old. Also not a big fan of ambroxin, which few scents made today don't O D on. The performance is spotty though. Would you suggest layering it with molecule 1? I don't own M1 but was thinking of purchasing it to boost this scent. Thanks.
This is the only Givenchy I own so far, but I love it, the new Privee one is the only other one I've really thought about buying. I was a huge Versace guy for a while, and still am, but they need to come out with something good for winter and fall again soon, especially after discontinuing Versace Man, and now supposedly Oud Noir, one of my favorites of theirs. I will always stay on the Armani train 😎
I got into this one some years back and still have it and the after shave on hand (bought it as a gift set)...flew under the radar for years but I love it!
Agreed 💯 with you Dallas!. Givenchy gentlemen only is just AMAZING! I don’t care if it does not last long, I’ll put 10+ sprays and ENJOY! . Nice video 👏
I love this scent. Purchased it the first month it came out back in 2013. The performance was so weak. I haven’t bought it since for that reason. Awesome fragrance though.

I get absolutely not even a hint of citrus with this which is an absolute bummer. Otherwise it's one of the best summer frags I have in my collection based on quality and longevity but because of the lack of citrus to my nose, just comes off a little sticky in high heat under the sun and just not fresh enough.
