    You mixed in flour into the Fruit mix because you don't want it to settle at the bottom of the pan when baked. The Flour makes the raisins to be afloat

    Coating the fruits/nuts in flour prevents the fruits from sinking into the bottom of the pan.I love the fact that you didn't add the browny.The texture and the look is giving.Welldone ma'am

    You add flour to the fruits so that the fruit do not sink to the bottom of the cake

    You are awesome! I am trying to steam my fruitcakes in the oven! I can't get a site to tell me how to steam in a regular oven! I have a realllllly good recipe for fruitcakes that would curl your toes! Lots of bourbon, lots of fruit soaked in bourbon and molasses!

    I can relate to the egg breaking thing ooo😂😂 some times I see tiny egg shells in my cakes when pouring the batter into the pan to bake... It's so annoying

    Yes o...we mix our flour in our fruits/ raisin so that it wouldn't stuck on the bottom of the pan wen the cake is baked

    Fruits and nuts have weight coating them in flour prevents them from sinking all the way to the bottom and also having a thick batter holds them up as well

    Hi Oluchi you've been my source of inspiration in baking especially cakes.
    Pls I'll like to know when my oven gets to 350° and I put in my cake barter do I have to turn down my oven once I put in my cake barter?
    Pls do I also do a similar thing with my meatpie dough too?

    Thanks for the recipe. Please why did you use this butter in the container as against the regular butter stick? Is there any difference?
