- We know thousands of you love the Skoda Octavia - it's almost become the default recommendation for anyone who needs an affordable family car with tonnes of space. But are internet and Reddit Skoda fans justified? We sent Rebecca Jackson to sunny Peterborough to test the pre-facelift Skoda Octavia estate to see what it's like to drive, how good the tech is and whether it's really the perfect family estate car.
See Motorpoint's huge range of nearly new cars - all available to drive away today: www.motorpoint...
Bought a new one three years ago. 2L diesel se model. It’s the 3rd new one I’ve had, absolutely beautiful car….But I must say, they are a lot dearer in comparison to what they were 9 yrs ago.
Skoda is not available in my country(US). Are they reasonably reliable during the first 3 or 4 years? (compared to other estate models in the similar price range)
Thanks!
Can you tell me about the infotainment system. I have seen some videos saying there is a bug
Everything is unfortunately.
@@S_Paoli Yes, extremely reliable.I have never had a major issue with mine. And the boot is enormous. I must say though, always keep them well maintained.
@@tamukachikanyairo9792 I heard the same thing, but mine has been fine. Always worked no issues.
Have 2.0 TSI 4X4 and 1.5 TSI MAN. Great cars. ✔️💪
Ive been running a 1.0tsi for three months using it for motorways and urban areas. The mpg quoted is correct measured at the pump its averaging 57mpg. On a motorway run alone its 68 to 70. My previous cars were the golf and leon 1.6tdi. The mpg as an average was similar. Id say its more of a premium feel than either of its stablemates and the huge boot is a definite plus.
If another car journalyst shows me that ice scraper I am going to puke.
I wonder about the longevity of the small engine and transmission. Having to haul such a large mass about is surely going to increase stresses on the components and probably lots of problems 3 years down the road.
Kia Ceed 1L 3Cyl still has 7 Years of warranty.
It's not about how many cylinders or how big an engine is, it's about engineering and throughtfulness.
I have the hatchback and I should have got the estate.
The 2ltr diesel is giving 67 mpg.
oh just found out that Ms Jackson moved to this channel. My lucky day. Subs. Really like her contents.
One of my favourite presenters in a car I really like as a used buy orking for a car supermarket i have bought a couple of cars from, what's not to like?
I don't buy diesels any more peak diesel was 1.9tdi PD vw so 1.5 petrol in a larger csr you can really load up. Unless you drive in towns only.
Has anyone any experience of 1.5 TSI SE Technology (Petrol)
I got a white one but then I changed 😢 so sad I miss it now
I've got a 2005 octavia mk 2 which has done 170 thousand miles and it still keeps going its got the best engine 1.9 tdi a bit noisy I think they call it bangornomics! Do I keep it?
It's a good car with Volkswagen technology , but too expensive nowadays .
I bought a new one six years ago😊
See Autogefuhl's review of the 2024 Octavia estate for an honest review as Thomas does not get paid by the manufacturer.
All of his reviews are easy to understand.
The TSI are anything but reliable! 2.0 TDi yes!
My 4x4 TSI Octavia have consumption 4.6L in ECO MODE. Normal mode 6.3-6.7L.
I always thought it was pronounced oc-tay-via, not oc-tar-via.
Good
WHO CARES about the cars when we've got Rebecca Jackson!😍😍😍
