Well done man. First time I beat the game it took me hours, I just explored every nook and cranny. Even to this day im still finding new things in the game. Thats what I love about Postal 2.
I'm watching this to get a clearer picture on how to do Pacifist runs quick, and I never even knew that you could just save/load your way to getting your petition done quick. That's nice to know. Also, the "*come on.*" part while getting your petition signed was pretty entertaining to watch.
Thanks I'm glad you enjoyed that part lol. To be honesty saving/loading during petition, whilst convenient, isn't the quickest way. You'll wanna get into a habit of asking to sign from as far as away as possible but whilst still in range and try never asking a 2nd time. You might end up doing more attempts, but the amount of time you save this way is exponential.
Here is a more recent run I done, only without the quicksave/quickload glitch. www.twitch.tv/videos/811359002?t=0h0m3s Notice how much quicker petition is when we are pickier about who we ask and never ask the same person twice.
"Depends what you mean man, 'Is it better?' Umm, probably not because a lot of the umm, the main problem with pacifist is that because you can't kill any NPCs means that if they get in your way you can't kill them to get rid of them." *Explodes cop's head*
@@abrahamicreligionsbowbefor3585 Not entirely sure, its to do with the games physics, I'm guessing the game thinks its an environmental kill, ie, an object killing the NPC, rather than the player. Test it yourself, once you do it, open up the stats menu and you will see it does not count as a kill.
@abrahamicreligionsbowbefor3585 If you play the game long enough, you'll eventually see an NPC walk into the corner of a table and gib for no apparent reason. When you clip into the environment, you get the stuck message and the game moves you to a nearby location, sometimes on the other side of a wall. When an NPC clips into the environment, like the corner of a table, the game immediately resolves the inconsistency by gibbing them, and it's considered an environmental kill that isn't counted on your criminal record. This also happens if you clip into an NPC, usually by crouching and wedging yourself between the NPC and a wall, then standing up and stepping back. In any event, it's the game itself that kills the NPC, not you.
As long as you don't kill people, you can use the Taser for non lethal. In the postal universe,Pacifist doesn't mean you don't do violence, you just don't kill people 😂
@thelordofthelostluncheon it doesn't count as a kill. I made a similar kill and checked my to see my stats if it counted. And is a no, was still 0 kills.
@@v-14415 It's a telefrag kill due to game's janky physics. The game won't add to the kill count what's deemed as an "unintentional" kill, in this case the dude getting "stuck" in between an NPC and some of the map's collision. Obviously, there's no way for the game to tell when something like that was intentionally triggered by the player or not, but during a normal playthrough, is possible to trigger that kind of "kill" by accident so it would be bs to do a pacifist run just to get invalidated by the game jankyness.
I found a new speed tech (i think) at habib's shop on monday. the cooler clip seems to be pretty finikey but there's this shelf that's on the right side of habib's cage, if you jump into there a few times and get behind the 40oz's and the bacon testicles it'll clip you out alot more often than the cooler clip
That's cool and all, but the reason why we use that specific warp, is because its much closer to the tunnel, if you're gonna walk all the way over to the tunnel, then youd be as well just jumping past the the cage over the shelf, that doesnt even require a clip. The only reason why we go milk > rws >bank is because of that clip, if that clip werent possible then rws>milk>bank would probs be quicker, since on that route you would just sneak past the counter by jumping over the shelf.
Also that milk warp is admittedly quite finnicky but it all comes down to your fps, if you have a high enough FPS you can actually get it pretty consistently but you need be round about 200+ to get it.
I did my first Pacifist run last night, sadly it didnt give me the achievement. I dont see why, my criminal record said 0 kills.. but maybe a dog under my control killing counts? Or i accidentally goomba stomped someone? Either way ill try again later i guess.
