I am a former church choir singer and occasional soloist. Our church doesn't have a choir any more so I haven't sung for about 10 years. I have noticed that my voice is not what it used to be. I learned that singing is controlled by your throat and abdominal muscles. When you don't exercise those muscles by singing, those muscles get weak and your voice is much more difficult to control.
It sure is harder to control the voice. And nice to know you were a singer too!
We were the worship leaders and played Christian Contemporary music. I played piano and helped lead & teach the vocals. Sometimes I had to sing solo too. I was so scared! But God always showed up and suddenly the fear was gone!
Soon I’ll have room to set up my professional keyboard again and maybe my voice will get some exersize.

The poor box turned out to be a good one
It really did. Most cheap boxes are just awful, tangles, junky messes with one or two good pieces. But this one fooled us all! 😂
Being a New Zealander I only ever knew the abalone shell jewellery as Paua. Its very popular in New Zealand as its traditionally used by Maori for decoration. It's is a Maori word and you pronounce it "Pow-wah". That pendant really is lovely :)

Maybe your phone problem has something to do with the distance. When the jewelry is close, it’s clear. When you lower the jewelry, it becomes unfocused.
Thanks Lynn. I think all the sunlight coming in that day was throwing off the focus. I’ll try to not let that happen again. It’s so frustrating for me and for all of you.
