1. Pressing on valve stem and waiting is PITA for sure, the worse way to air down your tyres. 2. Unscrew your valve stem is fastest way, 99% of offroaders do it, nothing wrong with it, unless it is cold outside (snowing), and right until the point when you lose your valve-stem. 3. Fancy hose systems are cool, but take some time to unfold, if it is muddy, then you hands get all dirty when you put it back in the bag, and when it is cold outside (I mean really cold -15C and lower) there will be condensation inside those hoses and it might freeze up on you, and it takes up lots of space in the car. I would say that this tool is more convenient when you are airing back up, not to air down. 4. The best way, especially for cold weather and cost nothing is just to buy cheapest clip-in air chuck (little thing that goes at the end of your air hose), stick them on to your valvestem and it will press against it, so you dont have to hold it (no frosen fingers, no mud on your hands, no lost valvestems, does not take any space) it will air down pretty quick, but not too fast so that you are not able to control it. I do 2 tyres at the time and control the presusure with the gauge. Will take like 5-10 min to air down all 4 tyres.
