Casio just released a new transparent lineup of their most popular analog-digital models including the Casioak GA2100SKE-7A and DW5600SKE-7. These new skeleton watches sport see-through transparent bezels and bands.
The GA2100SKE-7A has an updated dial with new hands, indices, and greater legibility which is fantastic. These two watches are a lot of fun to wear but you're going to pay a premium for them if you purchase from Ebay. Let's take a quick look at both of these watches and see what you think.

I just purchased the DW-5600ske-7, brand new on eBay for $55 plus tax with free shipping. I feel lucky to have found it for such a great price. Literally half of the cost of the Casio website for the same watch. I’m excited to get it, as it’s my very first G-Shock watch, ever!…I may end up modding it with a metal bezel, not quite sure yet. It’ll also be the first quartz digital watch in my watch collection. Everything else I own is either mechanical, mecha-quartz, or quartz analog. I’m thrilled to finally add a G-Shock to my collection….great unboxing, btw. Thanks again!

Mine just arrived today and im in love with it! I did read that these watches should not yellow as Casio found a way to prevent that effect of aging resin but that is all forum talk so we will see!

Your results after 3 months?
@@Aufnikotin2 So after 3 months of wearing it pretty often I do notice an ever so slight tinge of aging around the case. It's difficult to see to the point that in certain lighting conditions you hardly notice at all but It's not quite as clear as it was the day I bought it. The strap on the other hand seems to be holding up better.
How does it hold up after 5months? Still looking good?

the straps turning yellow don’t matter to collectors because the watch will most likely only be used every now and then so it’ll be years before it yellows. Plus us collectors love changing bands around. 😉

@@cutorra96 depens on ur daily use dude. i wear the clear casio oak only on special occasion. also if u keep wearing it under sunlight that will cause ur clear bazzle turn yellow quickly. try to not expose ur watch under sunlight aka uv radiation and it would be fine
@@amirulhafidz5003 I thought they turn yellow because of the oils from the sweat that come out of your skin and seep into the band in which, over time, all that sweat accumulated turns the band yellow 🤔.
What I do is every time I wear my watches, when I get home, I immediately take them off, wipe off the bands thoroughly, and clean the bezel with a small soft microfiber cloth and then I store it in it's original box. I keep them in my closet until the next time I wear it. I've kept ALL my watches in MINT condition. Not a single micro scratch or anything. They all look bran new. My oldest watch that I've had for 7 years looks like I bought it today.
And those are the ones with the black resin band. I ONLY wear my white watches in the winter time.......as it's cold most of the time and I don't really sweat because it's cold.
I'm just so careful with my watches which is why I'm very concerned about purchasing a clear band watch such as these.
@@electron7659 skin oils don’t really interact with the watch bands. It’s UV light that turns them yellow.
On the watch that you are wearing, where did you get your custom bezel and strap from? And which exact model is the watch?

Not at all! Although the GA2100 is a cult classic. The GA700 is a bit too big for me which is why I didn't pick it up.
Great! A type of content that would not get yellow with the time, at least for me. I missed the usual ambient music in the background. Is it reserved for more classic time pieces only?

Nope, it's the same display color and LED color.

You should review GBD-200 and compare it with GBX-100 and GBD-100.
How long will it take for the plastic to yellow? I’m looking at grabbing one for daily use. It wont be used for exercise since i have an Apple Watch so sweat wont really be an issue but I’m outside a lot
No idea. Supposedly they worked on the yellowing problem.

Why is the 2100 the most popular? And why is it still sold out?
I love my collection of various styles of Casio watches, but I cannot get my head around the transparent design....not for me, but I am sure they are popular as they are so different.
I like it but I know it will yellow probably in a year so it feels like more of a collectors watch

man i wish there was a baby g version of the casioak, or either just a similar "skeletonized" clear looking square G in the GMS or baby g smaller size. id dig it, and im sure many others would too.

How do these age? I do a lot of cleaning at work and wonder if it will yellow over time?
Time will tell! I read somewhere online that they mitigated the yellowing but we'll see.

Dude ...you rock. I really appreciate it! I've got no time for more videos unfortunately. RUclips just takes up too much time and honestly there's not much return except for the love of doing it. I still love Casio watches and am still a fan! This year was packed. Got COVID, had another kid, full time job, other biz opportunities, etc. It's nuts :) I do miss it...but having to spend a whole day writing scripts, testing watches, shooting video, editing, voiceovers, graphics, promotion, etc. just takes way too long.

Thanks for the update, You sound very busy. Covid knocks you about a bit and a new born with full time work is gonna drain your time so I totally understand.
I watch other youtubers and have picked up on the fact that doing videos is very time consuming with editing taking up most of the time. Some content makers have to employ editors so they can concentrate on making content some only make 1 video a week although RUclips wants them to make at least 3 which is fine if you don't have a life!
Like you I love Casio amongst other watches and I must say it was because of your channel strap line banner with the GW7900 in rescue red (never saw one before) that inspired me to buy one so thank you for that.
I also like the fact you delved in to past models as well as current ones which are not always featured on other channels and slip under the radar.
Never say never maybe do less production and just shoot it raw 1 or 2 takes job done?
I will miss your Casio Content and can not think of a better Casio channel than yours.

That's like a full time job. I've thought about doing less production and making quick videos about new watches, so you never know. But I don't regret it and have learned so much throughout the process. If the money was better I would even consider doing it full time, but here we are. Thanks again and I really do appreciate it!

I bought a DW5600ske last year October and now it turns slightly yellowish already. Kinda regretting that I bought it.
Watching casio, I own the skeleton 2100 and noticed the clear resin seems a bit different than others.. will this yellow over time? Someone mentioned that the compound is different now and won’t.
I know you mentioned here it should yellow..something feels different about this one..

Well that would be a nice surprise if they can mitigate that! I honestly don't know. I guess time will tell. Even if it happens you can take the module out and use another band or bracelet.

What is the model which you are wearing ?
It's the DWE-5600SK. It has a mirrored dial and came with a transparent band and bezel. I replaced the bezel with a stainless steel aftermarket one, and slipped on a red transparent band to make it pop.

I like the new dial, but not the transparent strap and bezel.. I will change the strap and the bezel with the black one and then its the perfekt g shock GA 2100 for me

Thank you for the kind words! I've moved on to more profitable business ventures. I absolutely love Casio watches but the researching, watch buying, script writing, video shooting, video editing, and graphics work was almost a full time job and was taking up way too much time in my life and stopping me from doing other things. I'm still around but won't be actively reviewing new models. Which is kind of shame because Casio has some cool stuff being released. I wish you the best! And thanks a ton for enjoying my videos.

Casio supposedly fixed the yellowing issue with their clear resin bands. They aren’t supposed to yellow like other brands clear bands do. I guess those of us who own these watches, will find out soon enough.

Transparent models look great at the start but will start to yellow over time....
I think the newer models don’t yellow
It doesn't matter that the strape turns yellow. Is kind of a patina. Most of the time it turns yellow due to sunscreen etc.

The only thing that stops me from buying this skeleton model is that the transparent resin will become yellow with time and that will ruin the look of the watch. That's ammmm not right in my opinion.

The GA2100 hype and constantly being sold out is annoying. I understand the marketing tactic of short ordering these but they are mostly going to aftermarket overpricing.
Ridiculous that they limit some of these models for seemingly no good reason.
@@WatchingCasio unrelated question because you are a mass guy. Do you have issues connecting to the atomic clock? I have a solar wave that I can’t get to connect to save my life.
It's always a struggle. I usually put my atomic watches on the windowsill of a West facing window overnight. Some also connect from a southern window. Rarely do they connect if not on a sill. Sometimes I'm surprised that they connect overnight while on my wrist. Kind of a pain!
@@WatchingCasio thank you. That difficulty makes me not want to pay the “premium” for multi band solar models. However, the Bluetooth function on these watches does keep time synced nicely.
Yeah Bluetooth is nice. I still love the multi band 6 models though even if they occasionally fail.

I love my Casio’s & G Shocks but no this does absolutely nothing for me. Stealth black is a better model. 👎🏻
