Regarding the conversation between Dania and Brendan. I think what was lacking was empathy, especially when Brendan was being so vulnerable and was trying to open up to you

this show right here properly depicts the majority of the younger gen singaporean girls, self-entitled, princess-y, double standards, gossip queens. so many things they have said on this show would have cancelled the guys if it were the guys who said those things. not surprising that guys who are better than average financially and/or aesthetically are going for foreign girls. stop simping for trash, boys.

right, like literally from the moment he walked in for the first time even the hosts were saying how he was being too professional, and throughout the show they always emphasized on that aspect. But that's just who he is and it's not like it's a bad trait or anything, honestly this show is just too gen z vibes for him
The Truth or Dare game really revealed a lot about the ugliness of the girls' characters - ganging up on a guy just because he is socially awkward is NOT it. Maybe it's acceptable in Singapore, but definitely not in Australia where I'm from. It's just bullying, and should be called out. I'm also disappointed none of the other guys stood up for Gari in that situation.

Apart from Roz and Kasey, the other girls are so immature. Guys are usually stereotyped to be the ones with more immature thinking. In this series, the guys are way more mature than the girls. I really like the vibes from Sam and Brendan! Gari is just misunderstood and the way the girls are treating him is just downright embarrassing for them at their age.

Yeah as a girl I legit feel so bad for him :(( I don’t think all of them are fully shutting them out (imo Dione is in her own world and Roz is neutral/feels bad for him) but still sucks for him because I actually felt he was a nice guy! Personally I feel there are a lot of bullying from Dania; and this is NOT ok and we shouldn't accept her behavior by saying she is "direct and blunt". Glad that Roz felt the girls are ganging-up on Gari unnecessarily and try to mediate the situation. To be honest, Gari is just a serious dude trying to mingle, however things get escalated unnecessarily (in reality there are many many serious guy out there, and not everyone is funny by nature), I don't see him as a bad person; and all the reaction that he is getting in this series are very uncalled for.

honestly we all know someone who is like gari, he is genuinely trying to be nice but people just outcast him just because they dont vibe with him. on the other hand, im glad that amanda and devika called out dania's attitude. i notice she does sneer a lot, roll her eyes, sometimes even looking disgusted. although she's 'being herself', sometimes it feels a bit offputting, if she did that at a workplace i dont think she should be in a client facing job.. haha. imagine if the roles were reversed and a guy had the same expressions towards the girls. he would be flamed to no end. but she's still young so she has lots to learn.

yeah the whole "touchy" thing seemed to be blown out of proportion (my bad if a lot of the scenes were cut out). i'm pretty sure that it's because they didn't like gari from the start that all these situations became problematic. adjusting the mic for example - if other guys did that the girls would find it cute and polite

However if she's close with the other guys, then she'd be comfortable with them adjusting her microphone. The issue is Gari jumping the "comfy" stage and touching her when she's not comfortable with him yet. Think about it, are u OK with strangers touching u? Are u OK with ur close sibling touching u? Obviously one is OK and the other is not, although both actions r the same.
Oliver - good looking but a bit try hard since episode 1. Only working cos he looks good but that's just how society works. Flaunt it while you have it but don't try too hard less it backfires. Brendan - funny cos he tries his best to be, not cos of his content. But that's the best part about him, the effort he puts in. Gari - the girls' punching bag. Dude's actually damn nice and you can tell he tried to address the misunderstandings. The rest just didn't give him an opportunity to but what to do, everyone stress cos reality show so no one(other than Roz) actually caring for the rest. I bet he's more chill irl. Sam - I'm surprised he's single. Sings and plays the guitar. Understands social cues well. Understands his own position well. Doesn't try too hard. Dude's a gem. Donovan - crude but fun. Hasn't had as much as screen time as the rest so there's more to observe. For now though, crude but fun. Dione - seems like a bimbo but not in a bad way lolol. Since episode 1 got the vibes liao. Looks great with Oliver. Wish they'd show more of her non-bimbo side. Roz - the saint(maybe?), prolly feeling a bit guilty bout how she didn't defend Gari better. Judged Donovan's first impression harshly but didn't let it cause more tension in the latter parts which is kinda cool. But it could all be great editing so I'm not 100% sure. Atiqah - needs more tact, otherwise not all bad. Shipping her and Donovan. Also, mad respect for living independently at her age. I'm hoping she shows more class in the latter episodes to come cos again, respecttt. Kasey - prolly misunderstood. Good figure. Seems introverted at first but that flirting with Donovan says otherwise(oozing confidence). Would've been THE girl if she told everyone how uncomfortable Gari made her feel but at the same time held them back cos it's only natural for the other girls to stand up for her(some in ways more expressive than others). Read from the comments she's hanging out with the guys more and that makes me all the more curious bout her. Also, that shift in attitude towards Gari at breakfast is nothing short of impressive. Dania - immature, insensitive, rude. Has a lot of room for improvement as a human being. My golden piece of advice for her would be "declaring that you're blunt does not make your words and actions any less hurtful." It's the same as saying "I didn't mean to stab you even though I stabbed you." It still hurts 🙄 TSL - asses by releasing this series so slowly. Seriously?! finally someone who hasn’t just grouped all the girls except roz as a bully and as “all bad”. so many people were doing that and it was unfair. appreciate that your views of the girls were more fair and balanced, and while it is undeniable that a couple of the girls were being very rude and disrespectful, not all of them were that way.

If the touchy scene was literally just Gari trying to adjust Kasey's mic, then I do think they blew it out of proportion. It was pretty darn obvious that the group of girls had that anti-gari mentality even before that incident and this just gave them an opportunity to further flame him. They tried and claim how he had no ill intentions, but yet proceed to act and describe the whole situation as if he actually did something with ill intention. They didn't vibe with him from the point when he literally walked in for the 1st time and it is really obvious that none of them liked him or is even open to giving him an opportunity. Kasey is totally not giving Gari any face and straight-up behaving as if they got into some major argument. Like, he apologized but she isn't letting it go because they all already have that anti-gari mindset and its really problematic that even the hosts do not seem to recognise the issue. I'm glad at least Roz who seems to be the most empathetic of the bunch realises that something is wrong with the way they are acting around Gari. Dania is honestly just insensitive and I also do not understand why she wants to be on this show when she is not even making any effort to know the guys. And anyone noticed that she is actually the one that is more touchy with the guys, I get that she's a bro girl, but just because you are the female also does not mean you have the advantage or right to be "touchy", and then go around dramatizing how Gari touched Kasey's (Mic lol). If it was Donovan or others who helped to adjust her mic, even the hosts would be squealing.

popular girls are mean. what’s new??? watching the scene at the dinner table when the group was pressurising gari into playing truth or dare was ANXIETY INDUCING and dredged up past memories of shitty orientation experiences. it’s a lot of sneering and jeering and jokes that are actually thinly veiled mockery. mean spirited comments are passed off as banter. the worst is when someone tells you that you just need to learn how to “take a joke” (lmfao @ atiqah). i’ve never understood how people get off on other people’s misery. these are 100% the toxic and rowdy ppl who i would want to avoid in school. it’s so interesting how that in this show and the other reality show that recently ended there’s always an outlier of the bunch who doesn’t quite get along with the rest and is gradually excluded and ganged up upon. does it perhaps evince a tendency for singaporeans to be conformist and judgmental and shun anyone who doesn’t fit within their narrow box of what “socially acceptable” is?? idk, it’s only a working hypothesis but this is a scene we are all familiar with and we’ve probably witnessed at least once in our lives, maybe even been the outcast ourselves. to watch it captured on screen is fking sad. for no one to speak up against these tyrannical mfkers and simply allow it to happen is even sadder. it started out so well but this ep was hard to watch. feel so bad for Gari. He’s socially awkward but probably join the show because he wanted to step out of his comfort zone. If he had match with a girl here that could keep the conversation going, he won’t have to keep feeling so pressured and nervous. For Kacey to not even initiate any kind of conversation, i think it just makes him nervous and he was trying to defuse the awkward tension. I think she should take a step back and relax and just treat hanging out with the boys as just a friendly interaction. some of the girls are match with guys that they don’t have feelings for either, but if they can be friendly why can’t she?

The Truth or Dare game really revealed a lot about the ugliness of the girls' characters - ganging up on a guy just because he is socially awkward is NOT it. Maybe it's acceptable in Singapore, but definitely not in Australia where I'm from. It's just bullying, and should be called out. I'm also disappointed none of the other guys stood up for Gari in that situation.

Apart from Roz and Kasey, the other girls are so immature. Guys are usually stereotyped to be the ones with more immature thinking. In this series, the guys are way more mature than the girls. I really like the vibes from Sam and Brendan! Gari is just misunderstood and the way the girls are treating him is just downright embarrassing for them at their age.

Personally I feel there are a lot of bullying from Dania; and this is NOT ok and we shouldn't accept her behavior by saying she is "direct and blunt". Glad that Roz felt the girls are ganging-up on Gari unnecessarily and try to mediate the situation. To be honest, Gari is just a serious dude trying to mingle, however things get escalated unnecessarily (in reality there are many many serious guy out there, and not everyone is funny by nature), I don't see him as a bad person; and all the reaction that he is getting in this series are very uncalled for.

However if she's close with the other guys, then she'd be comfortable with them adjusting her microphone. The issue is Gari jumping the "comfy" stage and touching her when she's not comfortable with him yet. Think about it, are u OK with strangers touching u? Are u OK with ur close sibling touching u? Obviously one is OK and the other is not, although both actions r the same.

Oliver - good looking but a bit try hard since episode 1. Only working cos he looks good but that's just how society works. Flaunt it while you have it but don't try too hard less it backfires.
Brendan - funny cos he tries his best to be, not cos of his content. But that's the best part about him, the effort he puts in.
Gari - the girls' punching bag. Dude's actually damn nice and you can tell he tried to address the misunderstandings. The rest just didn't give him an opportunity to but what to do, everyone stress cos reality show so no one(other than Roz) actually caring for the rest. I bet he's more chill irl.
Sam - I'm surprised he's single. Sings and plays the guitar. Understands social cues well. Understands his own position well. Doesn't try too hard. Dude's a gem.
Donovan - crude but fun. Hasn't had as much as screen time as the rest so there's more to observe. For now though, crude but fun.
Dione - seems like a bimbo but not in a bad way lolol. Since episode 1 got the vibes liao. Looks great with Oliver. Wish they'd show more of her non-bimbo side.
Roz - the saint(maybe?), prolly feeling a bit guilty bout how she didn't defend Gari better. Judged Donovan's first impression harshly but didn't let it cause more tension in the latter parts which is kinda cool. But it could all be great editing so I'm not 100% sure.
Atiqah - needs more tact, otherwise not all bad. Shipping her and Donovan. Also, mad respect for living independently at her age. I'm hoping she shows more class in the latter episodes to come cos again, respecttt.
Kasey - prolly misunderstood. Good figure. Seems introverted at first but that flirting with Donovan says otherwise(oozing confidence). Would've been THE girl if she told everyone how uncomfortable Gari made her feel but at the same time held them back cos it's only natural for the other girls to stand up for her(some in ways more expressive than others). Read from the comments she's hanging out with the guys more and that makes me all the more curious bout her. Also, that shift in attitude towards Gari at breakfast is nothing short of impressive.
Dania - immature, insensitive, rude. Has a lot of room for improvement as a human being. My golden piece of advice for her would be "declaring that you're blunt does not make your words and actions any less hurtful." It's the same as saying "I didn't mean to stab you even though I stabbed you." It still hurts 🙄

If the touchy scene was literally just Gari trying to adjust Kasey's mic, then I do think they blew it out of proportion. I understand that this is all "REALITY TV" and maybe these people are there for the fame and clout, or maybe they're playing scripted roles. Whereas we viewers believe that these people genuinely think that they are up for the "looking for love" part. But really, some things just feel too real (their true personality), and they need to learn and grow... Bullying is not cool.
