Rooftop Run might be the most popular zone from Unleashed, but Windmill Isle was such an absolutely perfect introduction to the game, it's a treat to see it get love!
Yay, one of my favorite Unleashed Stage mods got an update! The quick step sections on the wall running makes for a much more polished experience. Adding new paths to some of the longer running paths worked out nicely too.
What ab incredible mod. Looks official and the lighting and assets are very well done. Great light bake and the assets from unleashed are used for gread effect
@@TheRebelTitan55 the last 2 sonic team games were frontiers and forces, forces had like 2 good stages and frontiers was 90% reused level design(though the 10% was solid) i think it is by that measure better than a lot of recent sonic team stages
Honestly i feel the dkc levels would have been oerfect cyber space levels for frontiers just because of how unknown these stages where from the original game. It would be bith nostalgia and new at the same time
I never imagined I'd see a fanmade level (even if its using an existing stage as a base) possess such an incredible and official looking level design too it. Usually a bunch of Sonic fan projects suffer from very subpar, clunky, or out of place level design, but this looked straight out of the original, but a reimagining of the original. The level of detail and love put into this is insane.
Very cool stage. However i think there are too many parts where theres just long hallways or paths pretty much making it mandatory to boost through. Because they are long with little platforming or such. If some of these sections were shortened down it would be better
“Woo! Cultural-appropriate Greece is AWESOME! That’s one thing that dirty mouse will never get right.” - Oh btw amazing gameplay and performance as always, @sonicovertime
This is a great improvement. The original layout was too linear with not much of a challenge to plow through. This adds just the right amount of platforming to make it feel like a extra act from Unleashed.
Honestly I'm so used to both the controls that I'm really fine with either game. I really like the ring speed mechanics in Unleashed, but actually used a mod here that adds it in. Generations has ever so slightly tighter controls and better stomp. So probably going to give it to Generations.
@@sonicovertimeGenerations controls like a goddamn brick when platforming slowly, the jump is especially painfully heavy. The Air Dash has a pathetic range and drops you like a rock with little momentum. And you can't Light Dash freely, unless the Rings are highlighted. @@yrooxrksvi7142So, you're that "yroo" guy that was mentioned in Somecallmejohnny's 2010 Review of Sonic Colors. If you think Gens controls bad, then you're wrong. Because Unleashed controls even worse. Sonic is WAY too slippery in that game, the Drift is straight up too loose(just like the physics) and the button mapping is absolute shit! Everything I mentioned was corrected in Generations. Better have a good excuse to make me change my mind. Plus, Generations has better level design. Because we all know good Sonic level design is Made from speed, platforming and exploration. Which is basically what Generations is. The level design from that game(Modern Sonic) is filled with multiple pathways(Exploration), 3D platforming sections(Platforming) and the typical linear main path(Speed) Need I say more? I feel like windmill Isle is more utilised in terms of mods
@@silverreaps6803 Nah, I meant from a general popularity point, not a modding one, hehe.
@@b.a.g-gomez2610 ah ok then you'd be right
@@silverreaps6803 You're right too, it IS popular for mods. And those mods are usually pretty sick, yeah?
I love all the day stages too much to just pick one as best, but this is definitely the most memorable.
I wonder why Rooftop Run is more popular?
2:01 that stomp was crazy accurate

This is so awesome! Awesome gameplay!
Its amazing what people can do with sonic levels
This was world class. Holy mod!
The unleshed ultimate will never get🥲🤌

Finally a unique stage and not just a regular level port. This is such a interesting and pretty stage!
Wait a second that was the "boss defeated" variant of the victory jingle at the very end
Modders just straight up just build their own Sonic Unleashed in Generations, that's the craziest thing I've seen all day
This is THE Windmill isle stage! Explores everything in one stage.

What the f... This is gorgeous and looks ridiculously fun to play! How did I just find this out?
*Pretty Awesome!*
I know this is a modded stage, but I wonder why Sonic Team stopped putting time and effort into making multiple pathways for stages
Honestly, this level could use some additional obstacles/enemies, but otherwise, it's awesome!

Gotta ask, what feels better: boosting around and going insanely fast in Generations or in Unleashed?

it's fast. this is what we want!
It’s looks like a remaster Ngl!
how we can play unleashed in generations with hub world?:o
Chat when did they make werehog stages better?
Is this unleashed project?
Why did you make the werehog boost?
The modders didn't release the werehog mod itself, still. But they're working on it.
@@Oli-uh9nb okay👍
This stage is so cool, but I can't help but be bothered by that waterfall in the middle of the ocean.(this doesn't take away any merit this stage has)
Can someone please just remaster sonic unleashed like how they remade sonic 2006
