my sister was murdered by her stalker and the first I had heard of the stalking was a letter she sent me "I think he has gotten the message" I called made plans to come home to parents she lived 20 minutes away in a country home she rented. I don't know if it was the very next day I got home but soon, and the day we had planned for shopping and lunch out no answer. My mom was at a meeting got in after dark and we got a call from co-workers her car had not moved and had not called off work. hideous>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> To date I can't even get home, because of the plans they made for this Susan, to take care of the graves because people including Christians "friends" decided I had enough I am even lower on just money losing gig work than illegals. TRAITORS. After that nightmare, but my mom dad, brother held it together that she was in a better place, the nightmare of making crap "stick" for me. She didn't have to live with destruction. But I miss her still and me. And my tax dollars defended him, feed, clothe and shelter...him and his subsequent appeals. As we all do for people who want to hurt good people. And too I had pushed to excel in things I did to be "blocked" over and over till for crap to "stick." living dead/murdered alive is wicked. One lies the others swear to it.

My brother was killed in a construction site accident in 1977. Very painful for all the family, and we were never allowed to ask questions regarding the circumstances, because it'd be "too stressful for your mother and I." (said dad.) Now that they've been deceased for many years, I've been following up on trying to locate the accident records, etc. The Cold Case programs have been big incentive for me to do this.

@@Libdiddy That's what I want to find out. We know he was run over by a construction vehicle w/out a back up alarm, but I am seeking the accident reports, police reports, job / company reports, etc. Those are the major things we were never told about, nor privy to. Finally got some of the info via a Freedom of Info. request from the Alaska Bureau of Safety. More should be forthcoming. Alaska has a law that they must redact the more detailed info, but that can be gotten via a Alaska Superior Court request, which I and my legal team are working on. One thing I discovered was that the vehicle in question had been on the jobsite for 3 days prior to Rob's fatal accident. So, someone or multi people in a responsible position seem remiss in not having that vehicle taken out of service and off the site.

She graduated 6 months before the rest of us and we never heard from her again until a friend of hers from school said she was murdered. This was almost 30 years ago, she was killed in Las Vegas after meeting a guy and ran away. Her murder was never solved, she was beaten and shot multiple times in the head and dumped on road. She ( not this victim, the 2nd victim) left her family a note stating she was in a relationship with an older abusive male. Hopefully Kathryn's remains will contain some sort of DNA evidence linking the man to this killing, I am guessing based on the note's information, that they have one or more living suspects they are hoping to finally charge with this crime.

@killercat5231 I'm just guessing, but if she put up a fight, it's likely that her killer's DNA can be found under her finger nails. They now have the technology to process it, and even using DNA databases to narrow the search through distant relatives. It happens a lot now, and I hope they find this one.

The body was buried in the church’s cemetery. The church and by proxy the priest looking after the church is responsible for looking after the bodies in the cemetery. I don’t think there is any harm in him wanting to watch over the exhumation and ensure her body is being cared for. I doubt he thought they would do anything to disrespect the body on purpose but just wanted to be diligent in his duty to the victim and her family. ❤

The resources to find murders is not dependant on the person who was murdered's social status or wealth. That is one place we can all be sure to get equal treatment, and that Cops won't forget about us.

I dont understand why the law enforcement always seem to have a cold case or unsolved cases...why do they rely so much on D.N.A. evidence?? When these types of cases are finally solved by D.N.A. , it always turns out that the suspect is somebody that was interviewed by the police the first time or was the neighbor next door or somebody close to the original case like a handyman that did some work on the girls house. My question is, why didnt the original Investigators follow up on evidence they had, instead of just giving up,because it might involve some old fashioned " detective " work! How did the detectives of the 1960's solve cases before D.N.A.???? I'm glad we have the technology to solve cases with D.N.A., but I think a lot of law enforcement relies to heavily on technology & not enough of real " detective" work. Prayers for the family & all involved!

Cases were solved by eye witness, confessions, and fingerprints. DNA is solving a lot of cold cases. I watched a documentary of a murdered little girl 40 years after her death they arrested a crippled old man in a wheelchair. The other killer had died.

Not sure what you’re getting at. Are you saying you don’t like the extra boost of help of DNA technology? Are u saying more criminals should be allowed to go scot-free cos how dare the police use advanced technology like DNA and CCTV to enhance and expedite crime-solving?!!!
Of course DNA helps tremendously with police work. How can they convict the handymen etc based on just interrogation? Nobody is there to witness the murder. The DNA is the only conclusive way to reveal the truth.
You can’t convict someone based on suspicion. You need concrete proof to place them at the scene of the crime. The fingerprints, hair, saliva, touch DNA speak for themselves! No word is needed. This is why there are so many cold cases before DNA was discovered. In the olden days, serial killers also got to kill more ppl before they get arrested.
You say it like solving crimes and catching a culprit is so easy!

@@anniemcewen9049 True terror is nuanced. It's walking up the steps ahead of a man and then being startled to feel a slight pressure of a hand at the small of your back. Terror is the realization you're walking too slow up the stairs and that he is mad because you're at a slower pace than he wants. Yes, I can imagine what Kathryn has gone through. Yes, the end acts terrify us as a society, however, there is a level of Hitchcockian terror that movies don't grasp. Just an observation.
