I have listened to her playing for 2 years. I say that her playing is one of the best. She is definitely top pianists in the world. I hope she will receive more recognition.
This is as good as it gets. I never heard Ms. Huangci play before; she now has one more fan (me) after hearing this extraordinary rendition of the Waldstein!
Incredibly good pianist. Have her Chopin Nocturnes and they are the best I've heard since long ago. A prodigy of sensitivity and a masterful technique. Ms Huangci is with no doubt, one of the greatest pianists of this Century. 🎶🎵👍😇
Brilliant, just briliant...even if her tempos a bit too fast in the 1st and 3rd movements...I love her firm sense of rhythm...hopefully she'll continue playing at this level...astounding playing!!
I will never understand why most pianists start this movement mezzo forte/ forte. It's clearly marked Pianissimo. However I did enjoy most of the interpretation.
Beethoven is the greatest that compose great works you can't find composer now a day can write great music but there is many pianist who can perform this work nothing fantastic
Beethoven.
The interpretation is good, I just don't like that she cheats with the octaves (which everyone but Horowitz and Rubinstein play glissando - which I don't like either -, and only Horowitz manages to play them at proper speed) by using both hands while sacrificing a few notes.
Her hands are too small to comfortably play the octaves in an octave glissando fashion. However I have to say she manages to make her fingered octaves sound more like glissandos than anyone else who fingers the octaves.
I always regard Clare as one of more musically mature young pianists with deeper understanding of music she plays especially in Austro-German repertoire. But this is a surprise to me that Beethoven is not at home in this particular performance. Maybe Liszt is housing sitting Instead because what she does here is a display of stunning finger-busting etude playing ignoring Beethoven's revolutionary harmonic progressions with a variety of orchestral sounds in mind. Not to denigrate Mussorgsky 's Pictures, but one can still get away with it by using a wrong emotional template to play it through. But one cannot be a revisionist playing Beethoven as his music is very specific in terms of sound, tempo and articulation. She misses the point amid speedy runs. It is a fallacy nowadays to generalize all performances (good or bad) as a matter of taste if all notes are hit correctly. This is not a good Beethoven rendition.
As a music loving, non-musician I must say that despite the undeniable brilliance, talent and sheer laser-like playing of today's crop of younger players (the Yuja Wang crowd), I still can't compare them to the deep humanity of the great names of the past, such as Richter, Gilels, Rubinstein and Horowitz... I may not understand or be able to communicate the finer details/ specifics of music theory, but my ears have been tuned to the great pianists of the past, and as great a talent as these modern players are, I still cannot compare these young titans to the masters of the past. Their performance is undeniably wonderful, but I believe they need further to mature, and audiences of today need to be reminded of the incredible quality and humanity of past masters. Thank God for CD's (and all recorded music of the past, an incredible treasure)! Cheers, massolrac 😎🖖Live Long & Prosper!
Im sure you know what your talking about, but i respectfully disagree with you. I liked it very much. I've listened to many people play this piece and I thought this rendition was outstanding.
She's magnificent pianist! This Waldstein it's Flawless, one of the best in this Century.

Fantastic work ❤
Brava! Beautiful performance. Vielen Dank!
Danke! ❤
Very moving, very human, transcendental performance. Lines amazingly clear.
Thrilling, fantastic, great. 🌹
So very excellent! A mesmerizing performance.
The best Waldstein I have ever heard! 😊👍👏👏
Listen to Martha Argerich's
This is as good as it gets. I never heard Ms. Huangci play before; she now has one more fan (me) after hearing this extraordinary rendition of the Waldstein!
Most delightful, thank you for doing Beethoven's most shining pieces!
Waoh, quelle artiste !!🌹
Terrific performance ! Two thumbx up !
Wow, great performance !
very good dynamics
Clear and bright C.Bechstein sound, wonderful~!

MY FAVORITE....very, very good.
Delightful performance. One of my favourite sonatas. Cannot remember when i heard it broadcast on the radio.
She remembered everything Kovacevic taught her. Beautiful
I think she's a great musician! I went at Teatro Degollado in Guadalajara, Her rendition on Schumann's concert was superb! BRAVO CLAIRE!!!
Wonderful Technique!
Learned something from her, she backwards strokes some keys!😊
Her tremolos are breathtaking!!!
I am also a new fan. I agree that it does not get better. I heard her last night in concert performing the Beethoven conceerto 3.
Thanks, just starting with this Artist.. ps:: Where was the THIRD CONCERTO AT?? thank you.
GOD!!!!!
When Ludwig wrote this I don't think he ever imagined someone like Clair was going to Play it like this , ,
Brilliant, just briliant...even if her tempos a bit too fast in the 1st and 3rd movements...I love her firm sense of rhythm...hopefully she'll continue playing at this level...astounding playing!!
Agree! This is breakneck speed, but I think the power of the piece comes through even more at a slightly slower speed.
Brava!

I suspect there are many things you will never understand.

I was like, "I'll check this out for 3 minutes". 3 became 23.
Bravissima

Ich stimme völlig überein!
Die Skalen ? That is totally unimportant.
And I thought Yuja Wang was peerless...not anymore

Keys were narrower and action much lighter in Beethoven's dsy
p.s. I want her blouse!
Better than W. Kempf more brillant . Probably have had one good teacher.
It's good, if rather on the busy side-but why do pianists fail to take Beethoven's pianissimos seriously/
