There’s a comment similar to this on a lot of Ramirez videos. Always someone’s uncle or aunt that saw and caught him and got an award or reward or money or just helped catch him. Interesting.
in his case he had a terrible home life and even worse influences. as the video mentioned he saw his aunt get killed but also saw his uncle do almost no time for it (learning bad things doesn’t equal bad consequences), he had someone show him pow photos they took when deployed and taught him to match sex and violence together, he was taught how to look into peoples houses and one of the adults in his life did this too. he was literally trained to do these things, he truly didn’t stand a chance at having a healthy, normal life

He always kept his mouth closed in pictures, like in the thumbnail pic. The scary chupacabra-looking picture is from about a week after his arrest, a dentist came to the jail and made a cast of his teeth for evidence. They also told him to open his mouth for those pictures because his horrible teeth were a huge identifying feature and they wanted to show the picture to the surviving victims/witnesses.
No one ever mentions how his dad was in the Vietnam war, and when he came back, showed him all the beheadings and torture pictures of what was happening. Which he said was the turning point on how he felt about death!
Agree, but it was his much older cousin (by 15 years) who came back from "Nam", telling Richard all about how he killed, raped, tortured people and how then he got seven (7) medals for these murders. Then, when he came home, he murdered his wife for which he spent only 3 or 4 years in a mental institution. Once released he continued to brag to Richard about his "heroic" deeds in Vietnam and then they gave him a well-paying job with the Texas Workforce Veterans Services in San Antonio until his death of a massive heart-attack at age 50 or so. He was given a heroes burial with 21 shot salute. And what did they do to his young victim????!!!!
Okay but is anyone else like 😳 this 13 year old boy was just up fixing his bike & went to look for the stranger ?! That’s super bravery if I was 13 I’d be crying telling my parents lol

He balled up his fists and breathed in and out like the card instructs. www.stripes.com/follow-up-visit-the-rumor-doctor-s-dissertation-on-stress-cards-1.155850
Who's here after watching the Netflix documentary? 🙋♂️
What’s it called?
@@seb5618 Who was Richard Ramirez? The Night Stalker

How they were caught: Roderick Heffley
YO WHEN THEY GANGED UP ON HIM THAT WAS SO LITTTTT DAMNNNNN
This is the best kind of true crime story, and a testament to the strength of community. Three cheers for these brave, good people!
No one ever mentions how his dad was in the Vietnam war, and when he came back, showed him all the beheadings and torture pictures of what was happening.
Which he said was the turning point on how he felt about death!
Was not his dad and yes it's typically mentioned, just not here.
That was his cousin Mike. Mike shot his wife in the head in front of R.R when he was 12.
*Cousin
Agree, but it was his much older cousin (by 15 years) who came back from "Nam", telling Richard all about how he killed, raped, tortured people and how then
he got seven (7) medals for these murders. Then, when he came home, he murdered his wife for which he spent only 3 or 4 years in a mental institution.
Once released he continued to brag to Richard about his "heroic" deeds in Vietnam and then they gave him a well-paying job with the Texas Workforce Veterans
Services in San Antonio until his death of a massive heart-attack at age 50 or so.
He was given a heroes burial with 21 shot salute. And what did they do to his young victim????!!!!
@@renataostertag6051 that’s insane😦
What an amazing community . Love you guys . God bless you all
Okay but is anyone else like 😳 this 13 year old boy was just up fixing his bike & went to look for the stranger ?! That’s super bravery if I was 13 I’d be crying telling my parents lol
“See you in Disneyland” creepy as hell
Why do we give killers such cool names, like call the night stalker
“A wierdo who breaks into houses and stabs u cuz he’s a maniac”
He stalks at night ..... And kill ppl lol
And these kinda name makes ppl more interested and keep a better watch for the murderer....
@@anonymousgaming5212 thats what these killers want tho
I’ve always seen this guy in the intro to criminal minds but never knew who he was lol thank you for this
I WAS LOOKING FOR THIS COMMENT THANJ YOU
Finally, someone said it.
My aunt use to live a block away from him and she told me she would hear a car driving slowly at 2 threw 4 in the morning from time to time and once even stop outside her neighbor's house to pee on the crib and she swears he seen her looking at him and then immediately pulled off speeding.
David Flores OMG NO WAY😬😬😳😳 What are the chances almost 100 people have stayed the same thing in this comment section😳😳😳😬😬😬☠️☠️☠️🤯🤯🤯😵😵💀
Every single person helping stop him is a 👑
Today, Ramirez would have got away with the woman's car. Everyone would pull out their phones to film him instead of intervening and stopping him.
What a nice surprise. A Night Stalker video with a positive message.
How are people so brave enough to go and investigate strange noises in the middle of the night?
You grew up in LA. You’ll get it.
I had to do a report on this dude in high school and the more I studied him the more disturbed I became
i know this is about James but Jose literally pulled a serial killer outof a car, hit him with a steel rod and told his sons to guard him.
Bailey Sarian told me about this already. I’ll watch anyway.
I'm there every monday!

I’m not doing my homework, this better be good without Shane and Ryan
Yeah
LMAO.... I almost flipped when I saw 17 years ago😂😂😂 took me a sec to realize!
Everyone asking where Shane and Ryan is:
Me: oOuuuu a seRial kiLLA
That boy was actually pretty street smart.👍🏾
I'm glad you brought this series back
I'm from Boyle Heights. I wasn't born in the 80's but family and friends still talk about that time how it was hot but they would close all windows and doors locked up tight because for months they had no clue who was killing people. How he was in a market and two ladies recognized him from the news and the neighborhood came together to hold him until police arrived.
I live in mission Viejo and this story is all over the high schools still
Isn’t the thumbnail in the criminal minds intro? That’s literally why I clicked this vid 😳
The actor for rodrick would make a great Richard if they ever make a biopic about him ( like how zac efron did Ted bundy)
You can tell you guys are a quality channel because you have the word "BuzzFeed" attached to you and people still actually like you lol. Keep up the good work
it's not a good idea to be watching these at midnight and yet here i am
I always saw his picture on the background of criminal minds intro and I always wanted to know who he was and what he did.
Stephanie Lopez reslly? The portrayal of the night stalker in criminals is different thoe, he was fat and white
