I can tell that you love your Eagle. The time you put into the review shows how much love you have for the Eagle. Cab Motorworks seems to have the knowledge and expertise to set up the bikes they make for the long haul. No cheap parts here. Chris and his crew really know what’s they are doing. I’d rather pay the money to a professional for his creation than try to wing a bike project on my own spending a few thousand in the process. A few thousand is too much to play around with. As I get older in life, I’ve learned the fact that higher quality products are actually better and cheaper in the long run. The older we get, the less free time we seem to have available. So my motto is not to waste time on cheap products. Cheap products waste time and do not perform at high performance levels. Do your homework, research as much as possible, and invest wisely. I’m stuck on the Recon baby. I crave power and speed each ride I take. Can’t wait till it gets here. Awesome review Kev.
Good review. Liked you comparing how much it’s costing everyone to upgrade their bikes…whether it’s S73 or SurRon. Most folks buy the bike they like first and then quickly realize they need more range/speed from it. It took me 2 ebikes before I got that lesson.
Totally true. I've done the math on the cost to build a Sur Ron to match the specs of the Eagle and it's quite a bit more expensive even with additional upgrades of the bigger battery and Schlumpf drive. I understand the arguement that a bomber clone is the best value way to do it. But I don't think those making that arguement are really looking at the complete value you're getting for the Eagle. Unless I'm missing the clones that are using the same cooling on the motor.
The EAGLE is a cool electric bike, but the current $7,999 price tag is too much. I have a DARKSTAR STORM bike and it is exactly the same as the EAGLE bike, I bought it for $4100 + $800 for additional options. I've been riding it for 2 years now and there are no problems at all. I really like him. And my brother rides a more powerful DARKSTAR SUPRA, he’s like RECON
Maintenance... Wheels and tires I have to take to a motorcycle shop. Had a flat recently. Brakes and suspension the Eagle goes to a bicycle shop. Had a crash and messed up a break kever. Once I figured that out and found the enduro motorcycle shop that would work on it (some would not touch it) all is good!

All I can tell you is the pedals are essentially worthless so I wouldn’t spend more on the crank set. The charger it comes with is plenty fast. Brilliant bike!!!!
I just made the purchase yesterday (stock cab eagle). Now I'm wondering if I should just go ahead and get the 72V 42AH battery instead of the stock 72V 30AH. Any thoughts? I weigh 220 lbs and will be riding it on paved roads and forest service roads in the Western North Carolina mountains for access to small fishing streams. Round trip will be 30-40 miles when I'm doing that and I'll be riding at higher speeds on the paved roads (lots of hills and steep climbs). What would you recommend?
Those pedals make that thing pretty stealthy. In Phoenix there are many premium mtn bike trails full of Karen's who will throw down on you if they think you're riding on the trail with a motorized vehicle. With this thing, if you see a Karen approaching you, just start pedaling. The bike seat is part of the stealth too, from 20 feet away, that thing looks like a beefy mountain bike not a motorcycle.
It’s the best bike you can buy. With the 42v battery you get 50+ miles. I’ve ridden 85 e-bikes and it’s number one. Use shredder for 400 off if you want.
Fantastic review! Does anyone happen to know how different the Falcon is? From what I can tell, it looks like it's just as fun as this one (the Eagle) and the Recon. I like the price of the Falcon a bit better, haha.
@@fetB I got a different clone, not the CS20. I pretty much bought everything except the controller thru NBPower on Amazon. All the parts cost me about $2400. QS205 5T with a Sab 150 amp on 19 inch 90/90-19 motorcycle wheels
Hello, I have a ebike almost identical with yours, just mine has the moto seat and it`s 14.4 Kw power. It has a Sabvoton controller at 200 Amps (Right now I ve set it to 150 A) with the 3.2 Kw/h 72V Samsung battery and the biggest motor that is wired 3T. It goes up to 130 km/h. When I ve brought it it had the 4T motor with 98 km/h max speed and a stupid torque that throw me on the ground and cause me big problems with my right elbow. I wanted to also get a 2009 Yamaha WR250R but you made a statement that stuck in to my head that you had like 40 ebikes and motocycles and you like more this one. I have a huge problem with that as I want to believe you but for example I ride it in the forest and when I go over some small broken branches the bike slides on a side or jumps badly and you can barely drive it. I have mud tires. When I look on YT at videos with enduro bikes they are running through anything like its nothing and with this one you have to carefully go on the tire tracks as the smallest attempt to get out of the track made in the ground will make you fall. I don t know if its from being to light compared with a motocycle or maybe because is shorter, I don t have experience to identify exactly what it is. Please tell me an opinion.
@@TheFrickinShredder I ve lowered the pressure and its better in the forest but awful on the road. I have no driving experience with any motocycle or any other ebike except this one so my main question remains: Why do you think this ebike is better than a enduro/ dual sport motocycle ? Should I still get the Yamaha WR250R or you have some points to tell me why not. Thanks a lot.
The eBIKE is better in my opinion because you can ride in the bike lanes and off road trails and not get arrested. I’ve owned a ton of motorcycles and can’t ride them anywhere.
@@TheFrickinShredder Yes, I totally agree with that one. You can even get away with transporting it in a train as with a regular bicycle, BUT I watch a few YT channels like ItchyBoots with a girl that rides a Honda crf250L all around the world for like 100.000 KM or something. One day she did almost 1000 km in the desert at the Kalahari Rally....Also with a regular bike you can repair it basically in any country by yourself or using any mechanic and you don t need to order parts from China that are delivered in way to much time. You also have space for luggage or if needed to carry someone else. Someone else made like 1000 miles in a day in USA and he refilled the tank 11 times in 16 hours....with a ebike that would be impossible. I think I need booth :)) + one ATV and one buggy :)))

I wish you would do a video and compare that to my bike. I've a 12000W 72V 48ah and what surprised me about the bike is that it came with pedal assist and regenerative breaking. Yes, believe it or not I can pedal this 250lb bike with little or no efforts 😲 and only 🤫Ssss...🤔1200 but the only draw backs I've with my bike probably because of supply chain issues they had at the ports is that it takes me 5-6month to get this bike delivered to me at my house and yes everything is well package and label 😮 could you believed it.....Yes, my God....from China who everyone bashes but literally all our product or parts came from there.
Oh by the way my bike comes preprogrammed to run 120km/h which is equivalent to 74.5 m/h...Yes😯, my god....it's insanely fast.....🤔which I'm not so sure if it's legal or not but it forced to keep this on 1st phase which has a total of 5 phases with every phases the speed increases.

They must either be bots or jealous people who wish they had this awesome bike
Haters
Top speed? Wheelie?
50. Yes if you ask for the torque soft are update from 250 amps to 275 on the controller.
You probably need to lower your PSI in your tires. You should be running them at about 10 PSI. It will give you much more traction.
How do you get into testing ebytesting ebytes cause it be nice to test them to see which one I really wanted
Make a RUclips channel about ebikes and produce at least 100 videos. Then reach out to eBIKE manufacturers
I would love to see the surronster review this as he doesn't own one so it would not be a fanboy review like this video.
He is in LA and I am sure you could find him.
How does charging work? Is the battery removable?
Huge battery secured inside big body cavity. Requires bolt removal to take out. Charge it while it's on the bike.
@@TheFrickinShredder what's the connection type? I have an onyx that uses an XLR port and it is incredibly unreliable. Wires are poorly put together, it's just a mess.
Three metal prongs
Let's ride our Eagles!! The rotor thing is news to me on e bikes and Ive fallen a few times of course, ha!
Where you live?
Ojai. I don't have a truck yet. is it too far from you to come here?
Not too bad. I’m in Thousand Oaks. You got a place for us to ride?
Yea, there’s gold in these here mountains. So much I’m trying to make a circuit that covers the best stuff. Sunset here is nuts, so shooting will be epic.
Ok I’m down. Dm me on Instagram the_frickin_shredder
Did I hear you right.....you say it weighs 106 pounds? That's a lot lighter than the Onyx. I like that!
160
@@TheFrickinShredder Dang, that's twice what my Ariel Rider weighs. Sheeeeet. I keep mine in the house and have to take it up and down about 5 stair steps. OK, I've got to rethink my plans now, Thanks
I want one so bad. I always wanted the stealth bomber or the hpc revolution, then I discovered the Cab eagle. You get more for $3k less.
For sure! Awesome bike!!!!
Very good video bro!
Can you make a 1000 mile video review?
Please please please take a stair with that beast, I have to use stairs before I get out of the house.
5 large Steps.
Love you're vids, let them coming, especially with that falcon beast.
I mean eagle :o)
you sure it better than delfast an guiness recotd
Yes definitely better but not nearly the range of the deflast
Bummer, looks the the discount code is no longer active. Glad I found your videos about this bike.
you have to verbally tell them when you call to buy the bike.
@@TheFrickinShredder Gotcha thanks!
Glad it helps
your promotion code doesn't work
Have to call and use it verbally
Never touch a disc rotor with your bare hands. You could cut your hand and also get the oils/etc on your hand onto the disc brake.
You can't cut your hands maybe burn tho
Awesome review!!!
Thanks GW! Glad you found it useful.
@@TheFrickinShredder ~ More than useful actually because I was planning on contacting you to see how your Eagle was holding up. I've researched every bike on the market and have my sights set on the Recon. You just made my final decision that much easier.
Eagle is a brilliant bike! So is the recon!’
Hey I went on the website of cab motor works and I don't see any option for the breaks it doesn't even tell me what kind of breaks it comes with not even the recon what's up with that can you help
Comes with Magura hydraulic. Very good brakes.
When your to poor to afford a delfast
I review the new delfast 3.I. It’s slow. Eagle way faster.
I bought a Enduro bike from Alibaba for 1200 plus 600 for shipping and I really like my bike. I guess it is what they say, you get what you paid for. I notice the big difference compare to most other bikes is that has more features and in some cases a better options in terms of fast charging but with a little know how I can change or upgrade that.
Top E Bike thx FS.
👍🤜
Oh by the way my bike comes preprogrammed to run 120km/h which is equivalent to 74.5 m/h...Yes😯, my god....it's insanely fast.....🤔which I'm not so sure if it's legal or not but it forced to keep this on 1st phase which has a total of 5 phases with every phases the speed increases.
I still thank the Onyx is better!!
As long as you like your bike, that’s all that matters.
@@TheFrickinShredder don’t get me wrong, that cab bike rides good, it just look like a dirt bike and that’s why I don’t like a Sur-Ron!
I would change your passcode.. anybody that knows you is gonna know how to get into your phone
Rear motor, no thank you
The recon is trash
